Kender Pockets ~ filling a jar of memories
I have been thinking about how I want to do this thread for days. So many ideas. I keep starting & then I change my mind. http://www.menewsha.com/img/27391/0e...f38df88889.jpg Then suddenly it hit me what to do. For years I have kept randomly picked up odd or interesting things, my husband & I called it Kender pockets. I really started it when I was away at college & when I came home I would show him what interesting things I had found. We met before I went away to college & around the time we met I was reading a lot of fantasy novels. If you don't know about Kenders, read some of the Dragon Lance series of fantasy novels by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman, you will enjoy them. Probably the best known of the Kenders is Tasslehoff Burrfoot. Kenders are sort of like halflings, rarely above 4 feet tall, small boned, wiry & more streetwise & cunning than halflings. They are also known for their curiosity & kleptomania, which for them is an innocent habit or tendency to borrow things for periods of time, which is usually when the owner notices that it is missing. They aren't thieves & are offended when they are called such. They just seem to find things that have accidentally dropped into their pouches, they rarely have any items of monetary value in their pouches because they have little concept of money. They also have a knack opening doors. So now back to the memory jar. I will try to add something different or interesting that I find every day, week or month. |
So first things first. I got some avatar art that really made me happy during the FoWN event. SPOILER |
