I made last year's so I was like "oh, it's that time again" and just did it on autopilot [lol]

Haha, that's good. It's been a while since I participated in my event. I got my first 3 event points. And lost them again haha, too greedy ;x

Oh man, I never gamble on chance, I suck too hard at it

I have terrible luck with guessing right on chance [rofl] I always lose.

I don't participate in NaNoWriMo, but I've read some good NaNo stories on fictionpress and other sites~

Yeah I actually won NaNo for the first time last year even though I've been attempting since 2009. Hopefully this year will be another win!

This is how prepared i am. i have a sketchy layout for my outline of the story that is way different than what i started with in July. and I've marked down the exact number of words i'm starting with so i can subtract it from my total so i dont' ahve to start another file.

I've been meaning to do one of these for ages, never seem to have the time to sit down and just write constantly. Who do you think I am, Stephen King?

Well actually. if you set aside just an hour a day to do nothing but write. It doesn't take that much time out of your day. and you'll be surprised how many words you get. i was hitting about 2k on my good days. :] when just typing for that time slot.

I could probably do it at one point but my problem is that I start something and don't finish it. Or I go in five different directions and even I have problems knowing what's going on!

One of these years, though, I'll sit my behind down and get writing.

doesn't hurt to just write and see what happens. xD even if it doesn't make sense to start with. Some of my nano last year (that i made the goal!!) was

"I have this idea for this scene. Basically this guy is going to do something like this. And she's gonna retaliate like this. but i'm not really sure how to write that so to be filled in at a later date" and leave those notes even if i do go back and fill it in later. xD cause you're not allowed to press the back button :] just type type type. edit later. ^^

One of the things I like to do with stories it plan them out in advance, like character sheets, a couple of story layouts, maybe a couple of maps of different areas, descriptions of this and that, and make general notes. Just to plan a few things, which helps keep things on track.

Well if you're typing out the character sheets during november. Count them towards your count ^^

use your planning. as part of your 50 k :D

I can only hope that I write enough this time. I actually have a story planned out instead of just winging it. I mean I'll still be winging it but with more direction.

I am so excited for NaNoWriMo this year.

So am I, my region's kickoff party was today and it was good to find out when the write-ins etc are. I'm hoping to win again

Probably won't be able to do any meet up type things. I created a superhero so my novel is going to be her origin story.

Also Kirin, yeah, I've got loads of gold at the moment for some reason, so I'm probably gonna spend it all on commons.
