Different languages: Japanese, French etc...

I'm very rusty but I still know a little Japanese. Sadly never anyone to practice with.

Are you learning them, in order to be able to read more things?

Well I'm actually really terrible because I already stopped studying before I graduated. I studied it in college. I've messed with learning French and Russian and Korean a very little bit before, too. xD

I'm bilingual, able to speak and write both English and French. It was partly a luck thing, because my parents made sure I learned both. I hope to learn Italian someday.

Japanese is pretty cool, yeah. I studied it for a year in college. [yes] I also took Italian for most of my years in elementary and high school.

So you know Italian? Do you have any advice for how to learn it?

Oh, jeez. Not at all, to be quite honest with you. It's been so long since I took any classes. I took my last class junior year of high school and that was 6 years ago. [lol]

lol Fair enough, I'll just have to see what the library has in stock then. You can usually find something there, though around here most of it is for learning how to speak and write french.

I ADORE that series, and would love to be able to read japanese to play the bunch that never had a NA release c:
I grew up loving anime and manga, and Japanese culture is pretty interesting to me!
I also would love to live in Japan, even for a little bit, one day!

(Not to mention the language is super fun to learn -nerd nerd- ;D)

Jellywish: You could always watch french shows. Personally sometimes I like watching french dubbed anime.

Oh it's certainly fun to learn but also very hard.

If you do take it in college, make sure your teacher is FROM Japan. That is very important, because if you get someone who isn't fluent you're gonna have a bad time.

I have studied numerous foreign languages and always did well in my classes but when I listen to music or TV shows or try to read in any of those languages I can hardly make anything out. Very frustrating.
