The Real Nikki do you celebrate Easter with your immediate family or do you have a large get together with your whole family?
I celebrate with my mother's side of the family after brunch with my grandmother from my father's side.

My father's side of the family has always been into big fancy church goings and dinner parties. I didn't realize until I was older that it causes drama with who will host holidays, but since my dad is the last living male, he sort of does it. So my four siblings and I along with my parents and my grandmother are going to church and then having a late lunch/dinner party thing. Granny's been depressed since her mother's death and doesn't want my mother's side or her daughter there.. so to make up for all the extra food my brothers and I might invite dates. Might make her mad. Oh well.

When I'm older, I'll invite all my family and if they don't like each other, tough luck. It's not fair to play favorites and spend only certain holidays with certain people. Does your family get kind of split in the middle?

Two of my coworkers have funerals today (a little weird they both have it on Good Friday, but whatever). So I'm working all day today, I'm a little bummed. ):

The Real Nikki: my father has always been passive about celebrating holidays with his family so we often spend holidays with my Mother's family since she's more aggressive about spending time with family.


DeLish:my friday is going well i had a half day at school to day though it's usualy a day off but it means i'll get out of school earlier in june.

That's a bit like my parent's two sides. My dad has only his sister and his mom, so we go hang out with her. Then my mom comes from a big family, so there's more people to hang out with her parents.

Why hello there amazing people :) I am back!

I don't celebrate Easter with anyone due to the fact I have an antisocial, alcoholic, drug addicted, and almost completdly wiped out family. I don't have grandparents to go to and never really have. But this year my church is doing an annual easteregg hunt at our park and I always help fill the eggs and do facepainting. We have 30,000 eggs this year!!! That's amazing since we live in a smallish town lol. Oh well.

And it is awesome! Our church is certainly blessed and we want to bless our community. Were giving out free hot dogs and its just awesome.

I'm not very religious so i don't really know what my church does for Easter but i also think it has to do with the fact that my state had to St. Mary's churches and were then combined into one church. But it's good you help out yours and have something to do for Easter.

I don't really have a family in real life presay... so my church takes their place.
that's also probably why I am always on menewsha or surfing the web as well
