Time to send send some love, Mene style! A short poetry and prose contest AND special Mene-grams delivered by your very own Menewsha couriers.

Mene-Grams! Come send one!

Let's show some love to other Menewshans by sending them a MENE-GRAM!
Yea, I know, awesome, right? :eager:

A Mene-Gram is just a short message of love (or like) to a friend/crush/loved one, etc. Just send your message and it's recipient to my lovely muley man, Finnian! It can remain anonymous if you so wish, since he will be delivering your message via a PM. Unless you are bold and want to flaunt it on the front page, then we can do that too! ;)

Oh yea! You can send a little token of your affection as well! Whether it be gold or an item, just send it in a trade with your message and who it's for, instead of sending the PM, and it will be attached to your Mene-Gram.

**Please keep all messages PG.**
**You can send as many as you'd like and feel free to use your mule as well. Spread the Mene Love!**
**If your message is a public one, the recipient will be pinged so please include the full user name in the application**
**Please use the application form below in your PM/Trade and please enter 'Menegram' as the subject so there is no confusion.**

Poetry and Prose! Oh My!
Another way of showing love for Menewsha is to write it out for the world to see! So it's contest time! Get out your best quills and sharpen your pencils people, cause it's time to rock it Billy Shakes style! Time to please me by writing a poem or drabble about Menewsha! It can be about any of the NPC's, the island itself, your friends, your hangout spot, a RP, or even just about a current outfit you are wearing on your avatar.

Short poetry:

This includes, but is not limited to sonnets, haikus, limericks, villanelles, odes, etc. Free form and rhyming. Meter is up to you! If you want a little more information of poetic forms, you can look here Poetry - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia for inspiration! This can be silly or serious, the key is to just have fun and be creative.


Short prose:

And of course, who can forget short fiction pieces? These will be limited to drabble length, about 100-250 words. So keep it concise and interesting! The challenge is in the length!

For each of the categories, feel free to include and image or explanation with your entry if it helps tell us more about why you wrote what you did.

You may enter twice! Once in each category.

A loud clatter arose from the kitchen, causing the house guests to stir from their seats and rush to see what had occurred. The scene that greeted them was nothing shy of humorous. A bubbly pink-haired girl was tsking as her "student" began to apologize profusely.

"You got more batter on the floor and ceiling that on the baking sheet," she remarked with a giggle. The comment caused a faint blush to cross the male's cheeks. "We'll need to start all over."

"I'm sorry, Vicktoria. It's just that..." His voice trailed off. He couldn't tell her that the look in her eyes as she spooned the perfect portions of batter on the pan was so beautiful. Or that she was breathtaking with her hair pulled back and light marks of flour on her cheeks. "I got distracted."

"Oh, my silly Lucien! You should focus on the cookies." She exclaimed with a twinkle in her eyes. "There's always time to admire my new apron after we get them in the oven."

A hushed wave of laughter filled the hallway where the guests stood. A blonde-haired girl looked up at the silent blue-haired elf with a smile and asked, "Do you think Vicky knows that Mr. Mayor likes her?" The elf shrugged as it was a question he wondered himself. Everyone else could see it as plain as day. Perhaps, she knew and was just as shy as the bumbling mayor was about her feelings.
Comments/Image: I imagine one way Mr. Mayor could get close to our favorite love-happy gal is by taking baking lessons from her.

thank you! haha! I wanted to use some items I never use like the mask and the boa (that boa is beautiful it's just so darn hard to use XD)
