happy second day of 2018

*Hime* 01-02-2018 05:55 PM

hihi, that is cute:)
how was your first day?

hummy 01-02-2018 06:02 PM

started out shaky
but it was a good day after all.
how about you, HIMEie

*Hime* 01-02-2018 06:43 PM

oh. how so?
it was okay. went to see my grandma in the retirement home. I always have mixed feelings afterwards...

hummy 01-03-2018 03:03 AM

I worked for a few years in an upscale retirement home.
I could tell you HORROR stories that would make you cey.
no matter how sad it was for you, trust me, it meant the world to her!
*hugs* I admire you for not forgetting about her, it means a lot.

I had a hard day keeping my blood sugar stable.
but I prevailed in the ends =3 so all in all it was a good day

*Hime* 01-03-2018 08:21 AM

well.. not sure ;( she is suffering from dementia. It breaks my heart. an I know some horror stories too. saddens me that there is so little staf to take care of more then just basic needs. I mean, I had to go search for someone for a long time just so my.grandma could get a cup.of coffee.

oh and that good news ! well not the low on sugar... but uou manager to overcome wisch is great

hummy 01-03-2018 08:26 AM

I can assure you if she had a moment of clarity
you made her year, HIMEie, trust me.
short staff is sad, but I hope there are a few
who really care and put forth the effort.
I was one of those, I miss them all.

*Hime* 01-03-2018 09:33 AM

It looks like a very rewarding job. Though I think I'd get frustrated soon, for not being able to do enough.
And I hope what you say is true. I sometimes think my visits are more for me then for her, as she often doesn't remembers..

hummy 01-03-2018 09:58 AM

I can promise you she will remember a snipette of your visit
and honestly they hold on to that dearly. trust me I'd heard enough stories

Symphony of the Night 01-04-2018 07:10 AM

what hummy said <3 couldn't put it into better words myself
