Yes, Canada and America have different Thanksgiving days. So if you celebrate both you get to pig out twice. XD Once in October and once in November. Then there's Christmas in December. So much food. :drool:
Honestly, I'm not really sure. I'm such a bad American. XD I didn't grow up here so some of these holidays and such I'm not really sure about. Like Columbus day. I just know that it seems like schools generally get off for it. But I have no clue what it's about. I'm thinking it has something to do with Christopher Columbus. At least I'm hoping so. XD |

The kids at the BMC were talking about having a day off not so long ago. And then there was another holiday after that. I was like geez! Hehe, yeah, we do have a lot of holidays. Besides the traditional ones like New Years, Valentines Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, we also celebrate St Paddy's Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Columbus Day, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day (used to be Lincoln's Birthday and Washington's Birthday on two separate days but they decided that we already had too many school holidays so they combined them into one day), Independence Day, and a number of other not so well known holidays. Yes, Columbus Day is to celebrate when Christopher Columbus discovered America. Thanksgiving was created by the first settlers as a day they came together with the native American's and gave thanks for their bountiful harvest. We've been celebrating it ever since.

@Fizi - Riggght xD. We celebrate Labour day too, but it's at the end of October for us. ^^ We've also got some strange holidays. But yeh, that is quite a bit lol.

Yep, I love turkey too, Roachi, and ham. I like to take the left over turkey and make a turkey sandwich spread. My family loves my sandwich spread too, so I never get to eat much of it, because it goes so fast.

It's okay. I already have a cloak of healing. I need the dang cloak of nature. Which I know she had at some point. I may just have to keep my eye on her thread and hope one pops up again while I'm online.

I think that's when I saw them as well. When I popped in to buy the spork I had noticed that she had cloaks of nature but had sold out. At the bottom of that post she says she'll add items as she gets them. So I'm hoping she'll come into some more nature cloaks.
That's what I'm guessing as well. That's it just RL stuff. Which happens to all of us. I've been known to disappear from time to time. >.> |
The Cloak of Nature really is pretty. I know I fell in love with it the first time I saw it, but it was all I could do to get my Cloak of Healing at the time. I was just lucky that it was offered in all the goodies I got for my fan.
