Haha Idk - will have to look into the options!
I've never heard of that ever lol

Because my room is at the opposite end of the house and my Mom knows what I've been going through so she makes sure my Dad doesn't be an a*hole and purposefully go wake me up and make obnoxious noises outside my door to do it lol
She can't always keep him from doing it, but she does it enough so I at least get some sleep :3
My Dad's just a douche xD;

Izumi 09-28-2012 11:41 AM

That's nice of your mom, Emma. I always felt the opposite - really loved my dad, but was frustrated because he wouldn't step up for me in front of my mom. It isn't that I don't care about her, just our relationship was really strained growing up. Her mom was horrible to her and I think it was one of those endless cycles of abuse. One of the reasons I didn't want my own kids...I mean I would of if hubby was willing, but it would be a fear of mine for sure.

Well its just as bad, it's got really harmful chemicals in it. One of the artificial sweetners, i think it's 621 or something, is actually used to embalm dead people. So i don't think too much of it is good for you. But thats just like real sugar too. Well actually just like anything, too much is bad for you lol.

Holy damn, that's really bad!! How do you sleep during the day?? I try but i can't lol. Unless im exhausted.

Sounds good to me, I'll drop you a trade w/ my mule *Neko* =-)

Thank you roachi! I sat and played in my inventory awhile before I was happy with it.

I like using sweetness with Sucralose as it is more natural, and I avoid anything with aspartame like the plague.

Thats it aspartame!! Was trying to think what it was. It's so bad for you.

Yep you'll be surprised lol. I read loads of articles on artificial sweetners when i was first diagnosed with diabetes.

Your dad does that?? Why?? Thats so weird lol. If that was my dad i'd open my door and punch him square in the face lol.

I hate my dad coz he abandoned me as a child, and hasn't really made an effort for me really. But his other kids that he has with another woman, get treated really well. My younger sister is a spoilt little cow! I've honestly just grown to despise her, she's 21 and hasn't ever had a proper relationship. She sleeps with older guys, and lets guys use her. She reckons it's just fun. But you can tell she's just getting used but too afraid to admit it, because that's all she can get lol. And she's been doing it with older men. Even when she was a teen she was screwing guys 30-40 years old. If my dad found out he would kill her lol. But yeah, i think my dad is the reason for a lot of my failed relationships. -sigh- Parents just have no idea how much of an influence they are on us, whether they're there or not. Or half there in my case lol.

But you, can break the cycle. Believe me. It doesn't have to continue on like that. I know for sure, that i will never put my children (if i have any) through the kind of shit i went through - even with my mum & her pathetic partners she's had. Never ever. Thats why im 27 and still don't have kids. Because i refuse to just have a kid with anyone. Even though a few of my partners have wanted to try. No way, no how, im going to have an absent father for my child.

I can totally understand that!
I honestly am not close with my Dad, can't stand him, he just lives to annoy everyone in the house - a lot of it stems from Desert Storm, but it's just not an excuse after 21 years, ya know?
But what can you do?
I'm still in college and can't afford my own place so I'm stuck until I can afford it :3
Hoping that building an apartment off the house that's separate will make a difference, but we'll see lol

Yeah, my Mom totally steps in whenever he starts acting up (and yes, I mean acting up - he honestly throws fits and acts like a 2 year old half the time with his actions and what he considered funny - aka, harassing people and annoying them) - I mean, there's only so much you can do ya know? Unfortunately you can't control people :(
He's just very disrespectful and he gets really bad, especially when it comes to people sleeping - he tries to keep everyone up and wake them up when they sleep because he thinks it's funny for some random reason lol
Sooo my Mom steps in as much as she can and keeps him away from my room, but you can't like, barricade the back half of the house - though sometimes I wish I could LOL

Haha Weird!
Will definitely have to check it out then :3

Because he thinks it's hilarious :/
He loves getting a rise out of people, he loves getting us pissed off and in bad moods - he's extremely disrespectful and no one can stand him, but he won't leave even though he doesn't want to live here - he does it out of spite - it's just ridiculous :/
I'm hoping the apartment off the side of the house will make a difference because he won't have any access and I'll have my own kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc - so I'll have no reason to go to the main part of the house.

I mean, I can yell at him until I'm blue in the face, and he'll just laugh and laugh and them go to his room. It's disgusting, but I can't control him. If I could, I so would.

*Hime* 09-28-2012 12:03 PM

Thanks a lot Roachi! And good night! :3

Izumi 09-28-2012 12:08 PM

I think they know the impact they have, but its really difficult to restrain yourself and do the right thing. I know I had a few moments where my husband had to tell me to knock it off as I was not wanting to be like my mom but it was almost an instinctual reaction. It's scary.

The Wandering Poet 09-28-2012 10:36 PM

Ok roachi I fixed the trade ^^

Mhhm.

Yeah that will be awesome. Does he have some kind of disability why he does that?? He sounds really immature. How can your mother go with someone like that, and have kids to him? I woulda knocked him out ages ago LOL.

The best way to get at those kinds of people, is to ignore them. They hate it LOL

Yeah very true.
So your hubby still adamant he doesn't want anymore kids?

Izumi 09-28-2012 10:56 PM

Yep he is. He had an operation and had his tubes tied so its more than likely it for him. Probably best as we are usually struggling to keep ourselves afloat at times. Right now he doesn't know what is going to happen with his job. :/

Roachi 09-29-2012 03:51 AM

Ohh thats really sad for you though :(

Izumi 09-29-2012 03:54 AM

*shrugs* I never really had an overly strong motherly instinct. Part of me is sad, yes, but at the same time I think I'm being responsible. Right now I feel like I don't really have the resources needed to take care of the kids he has, let alone bring more in the world.

If we ever get stuff straightened out, too, there is always hope for adoption. I think I would get more satisfaction out of adopting, as I'm giving a child who may not of had that chance to have a happy home.

Roachi 09-29-2012 03:56 AM

Ohh okay fair enough. I want to have a kid of my own some day. Hopefully before im 35 lol.

Izumi 09-29-2012 04:01 AM

That's cool. I know it is a normal thing to want to go through. And I remember spending quite a bit of time talking it through on Mene. There's times where I feel like yah I'm missing out, but to be honest with me working as much as I am right now I really enjoy the 'me' time. I've been watching Chi's posts on Facebook, as well as all the other friends who have become mothers and it is A LOT of work. You feel envious when they post something cute, but you then realize how many times you see just how stressful being a parent is.

Why does it sound like we have helicopters overhead? It is kinda creepy at this time of night. Someone said not far from here they busted a drug house though. :/ Not in the area I live but within a few miles of it.

Roachi 09-29-2012 04:58 AM

Yes very true. I guess for me its something i've always wanted. So i'd be sad if it didn't happen for me.

Ohh true, thats weird. Yeah we had some army helicopters out the other night, that was bizzare. They were hovering over our street.

Izumi 09-29-2012 05:02 AM

They're looking for us? O_o;

I dunno. I've heard some strange noises from the skies at night. I'm wondering if the government tests out all its new aircraft real late at night in hope they can hide most of their activity. ^^;

Roachi 09-29-2012 05:34 AM

LMFAO!! Yeah my brother was being funny and saying. HIDE! They're after you! And doing rolls on the ground xD lol.
Probably. Wouldn't surprise me lol. But then a lot of creepy stuff happens in the US lol.

Ivvy 09-29-2012 05:55 AM

I have an at the bottom of the garden.

Roachi 09-29-2012 06:42 AM

Cool. How much do you want for it? :D

Ivvy 09-29-2012 08:37 AM

Whatever you see as fair you are in the exchange far more than me and I trust your judgment. :)

Roachi 09-29-2012 08:39 AM

Hmm well on my front page its 2.5k to 3k?? So hows 3k?

Ivvy 09-29-2012 08:39 AM

sounds great to me ill start the trade then.

Roachi 09-29-2012 08:40 AM

Cool, thank you :)
