He flew over to the closet, perching himself on one the highest shelf and burrowing into a stack of clothes left there.
|
Elais began hitting the shelf with a hanger, "Heeeyyyyyyoooooo.... wake uuuuuuuppppp....."
|
"Go away," he grumbled. "Go find someone else to bother."
|
"But you're more fun."
|
"I'm sure you could find a whore or something somewhere who could entertain you a lot more."
|
"Mmm... mmm... no. You're much more fun. Play with me and than I'll leave you alone."
|
He frowned and poked his head over the edge. "Play how?" If it would make him go away, it was probably worth it.
|
"I wanna fight. We'll go outside, not to the death or anything. Just a fight." He said happily. "Come on, play with me!"
|
He reluctantly fluttered down. "If I must. But you must leave afterwards."
|
"I won't enter this room again." He said happily, "You aren't planning to fight in that form I hope."
|
"No." He flew over to the window, pulling it up and heading outside.
"Jin...?" Carol murmured, slowly waking up. |
Elais followed somersaulting through the window, a pair of small black wings aiding him to the ground.
"mm....sleep." He said groggily, puttig a hand over her face. |
By the time he reached the ground, Diah had changed back. He ran his fingers through his hair with a sigh. "Alright. Let's go."
She shook her head, pulling away just enough so he wasn't touching her. "I can't...I keep having nightmares...." |
Elais grinned, liking the flat terrain. "And how will we determine the winner?"
"About what?" He asked sleepily. |
"However you want. I don't care."
"...A lot of stuff..." she said softly. "My parents, my friends, myself...you..." |
"Let's play it this way. See the white lines here? Stay in them." He swung around, leading the first hit.
"Relax, everything's going to be alright. Just go back to sleep, alright?" |
Diah dodged with ease and shocking speed. "That's a simple way to play."
"I don't know if I can..." She closed her eyes with a soft sigh. |
"Isn't it?" He aggres, a leg swinging up directly after. His motions were fluid and easy, not terribly predictable. Offensive and still defensive, testing Diah's reactions and speed.
Jin said up, rubbing his forehead. "Alright, get up." He said as he stretched. |
Once again, he moved with amazing speed, just out of Elias' reach. "Well, simple rules from a simple mind, I suppose."
She did so. "Why? What're we doing?" |
"Want to make things more complicated?" He asked, his movements picking up speed, his attacks becoming more precise.
"Just get up." He said as he got to his feet and pulled on a long robe, offering her a white one. |
"If you wish." Diah continued to dodge, extremely quick and using only as much motion as necessary, but never making any attack.
She took it and pulled it on, tying it tightly around her tiny waist. "Why always so vague, Jin?" |
"Are you just going to keep dodging?" He said, taking a half step back, "Come on, hit me."
"Because when you're source of entertainment lies solely in cheap women, expensive liquor, and the screams of people in pain... well, I need a change of pace now and then." He said as he moved to the door. "Come on." |
"That didn't answer my question," she pointed out, following him closely.
"No." His lips twitched up into what could almost be called a smirk. "That's the not the way of an angel. At least not this one." |
Jin laughed, "It's for my own entertainment. That's the answer."
"Then what's the point of a fight if the opponent won't fight?" He asked, his hands on his hips, leaning back. |
"I don't like that answer," she argued with a slight pout. "Where are we going?"
"Well I was hoping you would swing yourself silly, fall asleep, and I could leave back to my room and pretend you never showed up." |
