She shifted slightly, her eyes slowly opening. When her gaze focused on him, she screamed and pulled back, nearly falling off the other side of the bed. "What? Who are you?!" Jesus Christ, not another one! Oh--dang it. Sorry, Father!
Jin couldn't help but laugh, "Who do you think? Hair and eye color are easy to change. I'm still the same demon I was last night." He stepped back, showing off his new outfit. A lightblue hoodie and a pair of jeans. "I figured if we're going to be meeting your parents it might be best if I looked a bit more normal." He said, clearly having fun with the idea.
Once her heart had slowed enough that she was certain she wasn't going to have a heart attack, she glared at him, grabbed her pillow, and threw it at his face. "You jerk! You scared me half to death! Don't do that!" Aggravated at the start her day had taken, she dangled her feet off the bed and slipped her feet into a pair of slippers. "Anyway, I'm awake now...Leave so I can get dressed. Then we can go."
The pillow caught fire and burnt to a crisp in midair, leaving ashes on the carpet. "And what did I do to deserve that? I'm trying to be considerate." He said as he took a seat on her bed. "And you forget, if you're mine, you can't just order me to leave."
She blushed and glared at him. "You said the deal wasn't done until you fullfilled your end. And if you won't leave, then I will." She threw open her closet and picked out an outfit of blue jeans and a black button up blouse before turning and heading towards the door. "And you owe me a new pillow." She had only a few hours until she lost all control of how she spent her days, how she acted, how she did anything, and she had decided she was going to take advantage of those last precious minutes.
Jin shook his head as she left, grinning all the while. It was nice to have someone that didn't lay down like a doormat for him. He only hoped she'd keep that will.

Carol headed into her bathroom, making sure the door was locked and he was nowhere around before undressing. She changed faster than she could ever remember doing so, then brushed her teeth and fixed her hair. Usually she left it down, but since she was going to see her mother and she liked it up, Carol pulled her hair into a messy bun and clipped her bangs out of the way. She then called, "Let's go! I want to see her before she falls asleep."
"She falls asleep his early in the morning?" He said with a surprised look. He was sitting on the couch upside down, his legs against the back of the couch. "Mortal bodies are so irritating. I just ate last night and already I'm hungry again." He rolled off the couch, landing on his feet. "You look nice by the way..."
"Thanks, and no, but she lives a ways away...It's about a two hour drive. And the medication she takes makes her drowsy, so if she falls asleep before we get there, it'll be a while before she wakes up, and then she might be so...confused, I won't get to talk to her." She sighed and retrieved a black purse from her closet, digging through it to make sure everything was there before returning to the living room. "And if you're hungry, I suppose we can stop at a bakery and pick something up..." She paused. "Hey...how am I going to explain to Father who you are? I've never brought anyone with me to see Mother..."
"Tell him I'm your fiance." He said with a smooth smile. "I know you won't like it, but it's the easiest way. Just say you'll be moving with me to another country. I'll brong you bac here to visit from time to time. It's the easiest way on them too, or do you want to try to explain to them why you're vanishing for so long at a time?" He stretched, "I won't do anything to make them worry."
A look of disgust crossed her face. "You? My fiancé? I wouldn't even want you as my doorman." After a moment, she sighed. "But fine. It'll make it easier, I suppose..." She slung her purse over her shoulder, slipped on a pair of black sandals, and nodded toward the door. "Let's go. My car is in the garage." The small heels on her shoes tapped quietly as she crossed the room and headed into the hall, waiting for him before locking up, then heading toward the elevator. "And you had better behave on this car ride."
"Your car? You said the trip would be several hours, shy not fly?" He suggested as he followed.
((Bleh, short...)) |
"...Would that require you putting your hands on me?" Every time she'd seen flying in movies or books, the guys always had his arms wrapped around the girl's waist as he carried her, something she took a less than kind view on when it came to this particular man. From what she'd seen of his personality, she got the distinct view his hands wouldn't stay on her waist.
"I'll behave for now, you aren't mine yet, I can wait." He said with a wicked grin that didn't match his innocent appearence. "But if you'd prefer to be trapped in a car with me for two hours, I can live with that, but I won't behave."
She wasn't sure which chilled her more, his words or his expression. "....Fine, if you swear not to try anything. I really don't want to have to put up with you in a small area anymore than I have to."
Jin's expression returned to norml, looking perfectly innocent. "You think so highly of yourself, you do realize you're basically a toy don't you? All of this is just for my amusement." He said with a cheerful smile. "I wonder if I'll find a better use for you?"
Another shudder passed through her body. "Can we just...go?" She asked softly. Then, against her better judgement, she added, "What do you plan to use me for anyway?" She couldn't imagine much use a demon would have for someone like her, and all the possibilities that came to mind made her ill. She really, really hoped he was more creative than her in that regard...or maybe not.
"I really don't know yet, but with your wit you'll prove to be entertaining at the very least. As long as you're still human, you really are useless. A good time maybe, at the most." He stepped ou of the elevator, "But once you've passed on and into the demon realm, well..." His eyes lit up, "Actually, you wouldn't even be good for a good time would you..."
She followed, her eyes narrowed. "I'll be no kind of time for you. And what do you mean by 'wouldn't even be good for a good time'? Should I be worried or relieved?" Perhaps that meant he would get rid of her. Sue did say he would free her when he got bored...perhaps that would come sooner than expected.
"Ah... both." He said with a smile. "You'll understand eventually." He led her outside and paused, slipping an arm around her waist. "You can either face me, or face the ground. I'd imagine either will be unpleasant for you." His wings spread with a snap.
Glancing around to make sure no one saw her, she answered, "You'd imagine right. Personally, I'd prefer the ground, but I might get motion sickness...And I don't like your answer. Can't you explain further?" Her skin crawled at his touch, and she began to reconsider the car.
"Not yet." he said as his grip tightened and they shot skyward. "I can at least promise you, you will stay pure for as long as you live, and when I'm done with you, you'll be freed, understand?"
Reflexively, she squeezed her eyes shut and clung to him. "No, I don't! Does this mean you aren't going to try and sleep with me? And why can't you just explain it entirely?" This was getting so frustrating. It seemed the more questions she asked, the more confused she got.
"I have no obligaion to explain anything to you." He pointed out as they broke the cloud cover, staying out of sight. "Which way?" He said, "That's north. We'll duck down to see the terain when we get a bit closer."
"No, but it'd be very kind of you!" She looked around, her breath catching in amazement. "W-Wow..." she muttered after a moment. "It's beautiful..." It took a few more seconds for her to answer, "Oh, uh, my parents are to the east..."
