I really like the last 2. You achieve the "painted" digital look very well. What program do you use?

Hazardous Bubbles 08-04-2008 11:45 PM

Thanks!

I use openCanvas 4.5.

Melody 08-05-2008 01:05 PM

I like all of them. <3 specially the self portrait. The pose and everything just looks so serene and pleasant.

Hazardous Bubbles 08-05-2008 05:10 PM

Thanks! But for the self portrait, are you looking at the one with the violin? That's some avatar art I did for someone, and the one above it was the self portrait.

Melody 08-05-2008 06:30 PM

XD then I got them confused. ^^;; the one with the violin was the one I was talking about.

Hazardous Bubbles 08-05-2008 06:37 PM

Heh, it's alright. I kinda figured that pleasant and sincere wouldn't describe the self portrait, haha. I probably should have put the description above the pictures instead of below to make it less confusing.

Amiiu 08-05-2008 06:59 PM

They all look very nice :]
The only thing that's bothering me is the proportion of the violin bow is off but other than that I like all of them

Hazardous Bubbles 08-05-2008 07:09 PM

Thank you!

Yeah, I noticed that the thing that holds the strings in (don't know the name) was too far up after I finished. I probably should go back and fix that.

Maeve Dragonheart 08-05-2008 08:09 PM

Nice pictures :)
It's true that the violin proportion seems a little weird, but apart that, they are really nice pictures.

Peppermint 08-06-2008 03:57 PM

Oh Wow. Amazing. I really do love yoru art. ^^

lillee242 08-06-2008 04:08 PM

I love the coloring on the pictures. There good, I especially like the self portrait one.

Miss_Ericka_Court 08-06-2008 04:13 PM

Your art is very pretty!

CrazySours 08-06-2008 05:14 PM

I like all of them
Your style of colouring is great :3

Hazardous Bubbles 08-06-2008 06:38 PM

Thanks everyone! :)

Maeve Dragonheart - Yeah, I need to work on drawing instruments a bit since I find they're a pain to draw.

BlueMia 08-06-2008 08:20 PM

Oh! COOL! I like your style :D great you draw eyes and hair :D BRAVO! :D

Annig 08-07-2008 08:19 PM

I love love love love LOVE the on with the violin!! :D ;D What did you make it with~? Do you use reference, or just by heart xD

Kei 08-07-2008 10:02 PM

Ahaha
I really like the second one
:]
I makes me laugh

Hazardous Bubbles 08-07-2008 11:07 PM

Thanks!
Annig - I use openCanvas 4.5 Plus to draw and colour all my pictures, and most of the time I just use myself as a reference if I can get in the pose while drawing or if I have the correct props since I have a full sized mirror and then another big one in the room that I draw in. If I'm just drawing a face, I'll do it without a reference.

Kei - Glad it made you laugh. I had fun making that one. :)

I think the blonde's lips are too big. It may be just a matter of taste though. And you should work on shadind on your self-portrait. The violin has no shade thrown on you.

Hazardous Bubbles 08-08-2008 09:04 PM

I do find the bottom lip a big too, but I coloured the lips and skin on the same layer so I didn't want to try and fix it only to end up messing it up more.

You're right about the violin one. I did the picture with my violin resting on my shoulder most of the time but for some reason I didn't notice how big of a shadow it cast. I need to go back and fix the bow on that picture anyways, so I'll have to keep the shadow in mind.

Thanks for the feedback!
