Krad was being pulled off by Misha towards his room and nodded as Misha offered him some clothes to borrow
"That might not be a bad idea. I was just getting ready to go into town to buy some clothes, but I think I'll accept your offer. As long as I can fit into the pants, they'll be find" Krad smiled and winked one of his emerald-colored eyes at Lily as Misha pulled him past her in the hallway "G'morning to you as well, Lily. You're looking chipper this morning." |
Lily smiled and flipped her hair over her shoulder. "Oh my he new my name. He must be a fan of my beauty and heard of me in town!" She was sure that must have been the case!
From her place in the hall Lily headed downstairs to the kitchen. "Good morning Rae! Your dress is so cute!" |
"Morning Lily," Misha said with a pleasant smile but he lead Krad passed her and up to his room and passed that door way. He opened his closet to an interesting array of clothes from dark blacks and reds to royal blues and yellows. His dresser carried more casual every day wear as well which he explained to Krad quickly.
"Take your pick," Misha told him with a small smile. "I'm not picky about any of my clothing being worn, I might have loser pants near the bottom of the drawers but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you... Oh! If you need make-up you are free to use mine as well. It's in the small pouch on the sink in the bathroom." He was being rather too bubbly in the morning, but it happened when he didn't have his coffee yet. He felt he had to keep talking to seem not as cranky as he felt - that is as long as he didn't bite off the other's head, so to speak. |
Rae rolled her head to the side and giggled at Lily's enthusiasm in the morning. Rae wasn't really a morning person, but the combination of exersize and strong coffee put her in a usually benevolent mood. It had been a week of hell once when the coffee machine had broke.
"Thank you Lily, you're looking pretty cute and fluffy yourself. Don't forget Mrs. Agnes will be here later today with her friend and will probably expect a table set up with her favorite card games." Those two favorite games were ironically cribbage and poker. |
Krad looked in awe at all the clothes that Misha had produced by simply opening the door to the closet. Misha then proclaimed that there were more clothes in the dresser. Krad walked over to the closet and started to look through all the clothing stashed away in there.
"How do you wear all of these clothes? You must have enough clothes to last a month without wearing the same piece of clothing twice" Krad pulled a crimson-colored button-up shirt out of the closet and held it up to himself to compare the size. Satisfied that it would fit, he laid the shirt neatly on Misha's bed and then proceeded to look for a pair of pants that might fit him in one of the bottom drawers of the dresser. Finding a pair of pants that Krad felt would fit him, he also laid those neatly on the bed, next to the shirt. Krad then pulled his own shirt over his head, exposing his marked up back and chest again, disregarding the fact that Misha was still in the room. The fact that Krad wasn't modest wasn't going to change simply because of Misha's sexual orientation. "I appreciate the offer of lending me some clothes, but I think I'll pass on the make-up" |
"Of course!" Lily was thankful Rae reminded her to set up the table for cards. She had completely forgotten. She wasn't about to tell Rae that bit of information though.
Before setting the table Lily decided to head to the kitchen and eat something. |
Lydia woke up at the sound of the shower. Rubbing her eyes, she went to grab her outfit for the day. She opted for a bright dress with a more conservative top and a comfortable pair of shoes. Once the bathroom was free, she took her shower and returned to her room to go through her morning routines. Tying her long violet hair up high, she presented a smile at her reflection.
Descending the steps, she greeted everyone without noting who they were as she rushed out the front entrance. Usually she liked to gather flowers to decorate the breakfast table, allowing the sweet fragrance to float in the morning air. After the long, tired night, she couldn't wake up! Kneeling at one of her flowerbeds, she began to pick the brightest gently. |
"Mm-hm." Was Rae's lazily reply and she plopped herself forward, resting her upper body weight down on the tall counter again as Lily moved on. She nursed the coffee cup lovingly against her lips, blowing on the hot liquid with puckered lips before taking another tentative but enjoyed sip. She loved the way it burned down her throat and warmed her whole body.
Rae didn't even bat an eyelash when Lydia came bounding down the stairs and ran out the door with some ghostly hello hanging in the air after her. Rae was used to it by now. |
Misha blushed some as he watched Krad's face stare in awe at his collection of clothing. Misha was a clothes freak and loved to collect and throw interesting outfits together that would match his mood of the day when he didn't wish to wear a simple t-shirt and jeans - which is what he was wearing at that moment. He was also known to change in the middle of the day much like the olden times when you had to change for each time of day.
"Mix and match.. I dress how I feel on most days," Misha shrugged a bit in Krad's direction. It was true he had a vast collection, but he loved clothes. It was the only sense of creativity he had. Misha's eyes watched what Krad pulled out and he bit his lip some to stop himself from physically stopping the vampire and pulling out what he thought would look good on the man. The red and black combo looked good but it clashed with those emerald eyes, if the man kept the silver hair and red eyes Misha wouldn't have had a problem with it. Misha's eyes stared at the marks on Krad's back as he changed but he didn't say anything instead he walked to the closet and pulled out a silk coat that was a dark green that looked black unless in bright light but would play with the red of the top well by picking up the black in the pants. "Here, this should tie the outfit together well.." |
Krad had already donned the crimson shirt and was in the process of buttoning the pants that seemed to fit him like a second skin, showing the bulges of muscle in his legs. Not to mention another muscle that had nothing to do with his legs. Krad hoped he didn't get aroused, otherwise something was going to get damaged, be it him or the pants. He turned to Misha and accepted the jacket, then put it on and looked at himself in the mirror. Krad knew that he didn't have any fashion sense. He never really thought an outfit through, merely put clothes on that fit and weren't dirty. His own wardrobe typically consisting of nothing more than jeans, t-shirts, and the occasional button-up shirt in colors of blacks and blues, sometimes some reds, but not often
"You really think this outfit looks good?" The jacket was a bit "dressy" for Krad, but he wouldn't argue with Misha if he told him that it looked good |
Misha's eyes drank in the effects of how the clothes fit on Krad, or more specifically the pants. Slowly he approached him and fixed the collar lightly so the red collar sat above the coat's collar. With gentle hands he smoothed the fabric; it had been a while since the silk coat found it's way out of the closet but now it fit will on the vampire and made those emerald eyes stick out almost perfectly. All that was missing in Misha's mind was a light line of black eyeliner to make them stand out more.
"Looks beautiful on you," Misha told Krad looking over his shoulder to the mirror and meeting his eyes that way. He brushed away a few more slight wrinkles from the smooth fabric his hand brushing slightly over Krad's bottom and he gave a small smile to the vampire. "I still say you should at least frame your eyes with some eyeliner, would make them stand out exquisitely." Misha told him fingers fixing hair slightly. He loved dressing up others and Krad would soon learn he'd get a wonderful wardrobe if he brought Misha along with him shopping. "Straight boys can wear eyeliner too you know, it just livens up the eyes and makes the girls more attracted to the eyes." |
Krad studied himself in the mirror as Misha made minor adjustments to the clothing here and there. Krad knew that he'd never understand the art of fashion like women and Misha did, obviously.
"That's alright. I'll pass on the eye-liner all the same. Thanks anyway." Krad came to a decision and turned to Misha "You obviously understand clothing better than I. Would you like to come to town and help me pick some clothes out? Besides, It'd probably make the woman in the bikini more at ease if she knew I wasn't out wandering the town on my own" |
Misha chuckled some but he gave a small nod and opened the door to the hallway for Krad once he was certain the man was ready for his entrance into the lobby.
"Sure, it can't be right away though," Misha told him leading the way slowly down the stairs once more. "As Rae had told you we have guests coming and they enjoy watching me carry their luggage, after I finish my duties we can head out." Misha gave a pleased smile Krad's way as he lead the way to the kitchen where he was certain the others were already and helped himself to a cup of coffee and looked over at Krad suddenly with a small smile. He looked to the others with a smirk. "So.. what do you guys think of the small make-over?" Misha gestured to Krad with a small smirk. As he took a sip of his coffee he coughed a bit. "Sorry.. Do vampires drink coffee?" |
Lily's head tilted to the side as she took in the sight of Krad's new attire. Her cheeks flushed some as her eyes lingered where they shouldn't. "He looks so....hands--" Her words were stopped when she heard Misha mention vampire.
"Krad? The vampire?" The glass of chocolate milk Lily held in her hand was set to the side as she went closer to Krad and looked him over closely. "I didn't recognize you. I thought you were one of Misha's "friends"." With a giggle she added, "If you had come to my room looking like this I might have been in trouble." |
Now that Rae had gulped down half of her tall cup she had resigned herself to finishing her morning look. When there wasn't much to do at the front counter she could always primp, as she was doing now. With some makeup let in a drawer, she'd warmed up her cheeks with a swipe of cream blush and smugged some smoky shadow onto her eyelids along with some mascara that doubled her already long lashes.
She was going to put it away when the tube slipped from her hands and smacked onto the floor before rolling under the lip of the counter. "Dammit!" Rae bent down and was searching for it at the exact moment Misha and Krad passed through the lobby on their way to the kitchen. She stood back up after they had left with a curious pout.. had she just heard voices? Shaking it off as maybe Lily running back through again she started fingering through the tubes of lipgloss in the drawer, but wouldn't put any on until she'd finished her muffin which she turned to now. She plucked off little moist chunks and popped them into her mouth. Mmm.. anything with chocolate was good. |
Michi staggered out of bed and ran a hand through her long hair. She had never been much of a morning person. She undressed even as she headed to the bathroom for a quick shower. Michi never took much time for primping and the like. She scrubbed, rinsed, and hopped out of the shower. Michi tried to dry herself off, but with as long as her hair was that was just about as close to impossible as one could get.
She quickly dressed in a simple black, short-sleeved button down top. She made sure to tie her hair back, at least until it dried. And then, Michi grabbed a pleated, black skirt to wear. She tucked the shirt in, and promptly headed downstairs. But, she stopped before making all the way down the stairs and went back to her room. She'd just remembered about the vials. So, she grabbed two of her remaining vials and snuck them into Krad's room. She was very careful not to slam the door when she left, and this time she actually made it all the way down stairs. It was no shock to her to find everyone else already down stairs. That was fairly common. So, Mich just went to the fridge and grabbed some juice, and then a muffin. She sat at the table, and picked at them, while watching those around her. "Good morning, everyone." |
With an armful of a wide variety of colorful blossoms, Lydia reentered the inn with a broad smile. A few flowers slipped from her grip, and she tightened her hold immediately while bending over to catch them as they fell. The thorns from the roses slashed two of her fingers, resulting in an immediate change in expression. She went ahead and crouched down, still holding the flowers - loosely now.
"Ow..." she whimpered, pouting her plush lips. |
Krad looked at the strong smelling brew that Misha was sipping at and shook his head with a chuckle.
"Some vampires might, but I don't. I honestly don't see how you can stand that stuff." Krad then looked at Lily and smiled at her with a playful wink. "You might have been in trouble? Whatever would make you say such a thing?" Krad nodded and smiled at the red-headed girl whose name he had yet heard. All he really knew about her so far was that she was a vampire, and that no one else seemed to know about it "G'morning to you as well." Suddenly, Krad smelled something in the air. It was a scent that he was all too familiar with, blood. He looked around the kitchen and knew that the only ones not here right now were Lydia, and the girl that was wearing the bikini the night before. Misha had called her Rae. "I smell blood. Someone in the house has been hurt" Krad turned and headed into the lobby to investigate. Once reaching the lobby, he saw Rae behind the counter picking at a muffin, and then noticed Lydia crouching in the entryway of the inn. He asked Rae as he was passing by her to check on Lydia "What happened to Lydia?" Without waiting for Rae to answer, Krad went over to Lydia to check on her "Lydia, are you ok, dear? You're bleeding" Krad saw the slashes on her fingers and inspected them, fighting the urge to stick her fingers in his mouth to lick the blood off of them. Lydia probably wouldn't have a problem with Krad licking the blood off of her fingers, but Rae would have his hide "Hmm. Doesn't look too bad. A band aid or two, and you should be fine" |
Michi hadn't even noticed Krad when she'd entered the kitchen. The change in his hair and eyes had thrown her, a fact which didn't sit well with her at all. No, the realization came when she heard his voice. She very nearly choked on her juice, and was only able to choke out a simple "Oh" when he greeted her.
But, when he said that he smelled blood, all her senses were suddenly clear. And she wasn't about to let him go chasing down an injured person by himself. So, when he bolted from the room, she was hot on his heels. She arrived in the lobby only second after him, and made sure to stay close by. She watched as he inspected Lydia's hand, and even though she was sure he was stronger than her right now, she was also sure that she would at least be able to put up a good fight. Michi was all too relieved when he finished his inspection of Lydia, and told her to get a band-aid, rather than trying to take advantage of the situation. There was hope for him yet, it seemed. "Lydia, there are band-aids and antibiotic ointment in the bathroom, right? Why don't you let me take care of the flowers?" Michi knelt down next to Lydia and started gathering up the flowers, then looked Krad in the eyes. "Did you make your bed this morning? I'm in charge of cleaning around here, but if you make your own bed, I won't mess with it." Michi added a nod, and then continued to pick up the flowers, being careful of the roses. |
The idea of being able to smell blood slightly disturbed Lily. Blood was such a pretty red color, but it had a smell? She followed behind the other two to see who it was that was injured and to try and pick up the smell herself. All she accomplished was giving a small snort from trying to inhale too much. She glanced around to make sure no one heard her. Success! No one did.
Once she had finished the check that no one heard her she looked at Krad and Michi talking to Lydia. "Oh Ly-Ly! You're injured!" She went over to her twin sister and took her hand from the people inspecting it. Lily was only satisfied that her sister was alright when she saw for herself that it was just a tiny cut. "Oh, she doesn't need a bandaid. It's fine!" Without thought Lily sucked Lydia's injured finger then promptly kissed it. "All better Lydia?" |
Rae glanced up as the front door opened again and she found not Mrs. Agnes but Lydia.. hadn't Lydia already come back in. Now she was hearing things.. she gave a dramatic sigh to herself and popped a big chunk of muffin into her mouth just as Lydia spilled some of the flowers onto the floor, and Rae leaned up from her slouched position on the desk. It wasn't like Lydia hadn't dropped flowers before.
"Ooo.. broke out the roses eh? I guess old fashioned company is coming." Lydia hadn't made a big deal about the little scratch an with her arms still full, Rae couldn't even observe the girl was in pain, only pouting over dropping the flowers until Krad rushed in. Rae looked immediately put off by his question, what, she's left alone with Lydia and there has to be something wrong with the girl? "What do you mean what happened??" She replied in a slightly chilly voice, not at all like the one she'd used a moment ago to speak to Lydia herself. When it turned out Lydia was hurt Rae gave a snort and put her hands on her hips, not caring who heard. She was no bloody mind reader here and didn't have the nose of a dog to smell out blood! And now all the girls in the house were following Krad around it seemed, it made Rae narrow her eyes more. She was fine with everyone else handling it at first. But at all the idea's of how to fix Lydia's finger without action and Bani's big idea of swapping spit with it, Rae had to roll her eyes and finally come out from behind the counter. "You aren't a cat Lily, your tongue isn't antiseptic." Rae poked the girl in the cheek to move her away from her sister and took up Lydia's hand now with a brightly colored, children's no ouchies neosporin sprayer in hand and squirted a little on the cuts. She opened the rest of the fingers of her palm to produce a little blue band aid with cute piggy faces on it and another neon yellow one with chibi puppy faces, and securely wrapped each around a little cut finger. Rae really did act like the mother of the house... except in the kitchen where she didn't compare to Lydia's cooking and Misha's baking or in the housework where she was lazy when compared to Lily and Michi. "Honestly it's just a little nick, we don't have to play bumper cars like we're passing a bloody wreckage on the highway here." She rolled her eyes and had them scan the girls faces before falling on Krad again, finally noticing the vamp wasn't only dressed up in clean clothes, he was dressed up in Misha's clothes. The tight pants gave it away. "Huh.. okay you pass for now." Rae gave a flip of her hair to emphasize her authority over whether Krad's look passed or failed and turned away from him to approach the vampire she didnt' know was a vampire. But Michi got a gushy sweet voice.. Rae wanted something. "Michiiiii darling! You know that divine red velvet cameo necklace of yours? Think I could borrow it today?" |
Michi was often shocked when others wanted to borrow her things. After all, she never really prided herself on her taste in clothes or jewelry. But, it was flattering none the less. And, it was Rae. So, it wasn't much of a surprise this time.
However, much as Michi would have liked to stick around and make sure Krad got her intended message, she still couldn't shake the habit of making sure that what she held as private remained that way. So, she gave Rae a smile and a nod. "Sure, Rae. I don't see why not." Michi stood up, and handed the flowers she had collected to Lily. Then she went to her room to get the cameo that Rae had mentioned. It was kept in a small wooden jewelry box, on her dresser, separate from anything else so that it wouldn't get tangled. She gingerly lifted the Cameo out of the box, and ran her thumb over it. This particular cameo was made in the victorian era, and in sharp contrast with the traditional color scheme. The background had been painted red, while the womans relief was black. Having been carved out of onyx. The woman also wore a pendant which was accented with a small ruby. The effect was really quite stunning, and the whole thing was decorated with a Silver border, arranged to resemble vines. The woman's shape and form was accentuated with the same red paint used for the back ground, but thinner.... allowing the fact that it was meant to be black remain quite obvious, while still letting the admirer see all the subtle lines and shapes that made her. Michi pulled her eyes away from the cameo, and walked back to Rae's desk. "Here you go. Just promise you'll be careful with it, ok?" |
Lily moved aside when Rae took over treating her sister. She understood it wasn't a heal all treatment to kiss "Boo Boo's", but after all their mother did the same thing.
Lily stayed to the side as she pouted her lower lip. Her attempt to help her sister had been rejected. She took the flowers from Michi and sniffed them, holding them higher to hide her pout. |
Misha looked startled as everyone left the room and he found himself following and instead of crowding Lydia even more now he stepped back to watch. As long as Krad wasn't the one sucking on Lydia's fingers he wasn't going to step in. Such folly over a small cut.. however, it was certainly not unexpected anyhow.
"He only passes?" Misha asked with false shock when Rae examined his clothes. He took another sip of the strong black coffee as he walked forward now that Lydia seemed taken care of. "Those are my clothes we're talking about, and my style critique to say the least - aside from the fact he wouldn't wear eyeliner. Outlined in the perfect places and still classy-casual." Misha shook his head, sometimes he swore girls had no fashion sense at times. "Speaking of clothes though..." Misha elaborated seeing this as the time to ask anyhow. "Even with my vast wardrobe able to survive two people picking from it's lovely clothes I think poor Krad would hate to be dressed by me each morning and, or evening. I want to take him out clothes shopping sometime this afternoon if we're not bombarded by guests." |
Lydia bit her lower lip as her wounds were treated. Softly she thanked Rae, looking over the bandaids, humored. Once freed, she stood up slowly and quickly hugged her sister, giving her a kiss on the cheek. She produced a smile and thanked her too. It did indeed make her feel better from the initial pain from the gashes.
Apologizing for her outburst - she gathered some of the flowers to go arrange them on the tables. |
