I feel like if you added the top hat, and the body from the 2nd avatar to the first avatar, it'd be great. Your first one is too green and your second one looks blind.

If my first one is too green, I could take that as a compliment, because it is the "Green" challenge, after all. xDD;; And I'm confused, because you mean that I should add gray with the top hat? That would just throw it off and take away from the "Green" challenge. ^^;;

@Rylynne: I actually like the second avatar better. It looks really good, except for the face. For some reason, the glasses don't look that great with the contacts. I dunno... if I were you, I would get rid of the black/green contacts altogether. You don't have black anywhere else in the avi anyway, so it doesn't throw anything off if you get rid of them.
The necklace is also somewhat distracting. I don't know why because it matches the color scheme perfectly... but for some reason I just keep staring at it and it grabs too much of the focus. Can you add the green clover pin there instead or does it not layer correctly with the tie? |

SLOW!!! This avatar you have now is my favorite! the edgy hair works better than the pony. Please keep the green, *ish devastated*. Seriously, I love it, but if you want your old avatar, you can. That avatar is still great, but I like the green one more.

@ Pixore : Thanks for the advice. :3 I initially added the green/black contacts because I just wanted some sort of green eyes in my MAC, seeing as we still cannot change eyes there as of yet. xDD;; As for the green clover hairpin, I tried it, and it layers over the tie, yes, but it blended in too much with the top that it was useless to put it in. ^^;; So, I tried something different instead:

slow, I think I like your old avatar better in terms of flow, because the water headband + priest water sash thing swooshing in the same direction throws me off for some reason. ^^;; But, this newer one looks... I dunno, I like it, but I also don't, lolz. xDD;; Sorry I'm no help. ;_;

@Rylynne: I like the revised green avatar you posted.
It's definitely much improved over the last one~ :D That being said, the goodwill one is made of win. I love it. :heart: If I were you, that's the one that I would use for this challenge. And to add some gray toward the head, I would try adding earrings, as they're cheap. I think the silver celestial eardrops might work well, but there are some others you can also try out. @ slow : I think I like your current one better, but I dunno, the first one in your latest post could work more if there were some darker shades down below, like dark teal or something (even though I dunno how you could fix that). ^^;; <3<3

They're the same, sorta, but I'm debating if I should go for the glasses or the earrings, since sadly I can't have both. Rylynne, I like the one in the green with the earrings better, personally, though it's too bad you can't have the glasses and earrings both, because I really like them both, hehe.
For your other avi, is there a pair of socks that matches the green in your avi's hair, to add a touch of that color green to the bottom part of your avi? Or, I know there is a pair of stockings that color. If you go with the socks (assuming they are available) or the stockings, you could also put that gold ankle band thing around her ankles to keep the gold balance. I am going to be keeping an eye on this thread a while to figure out how things work, as I would eventually like to participate in this. This whole concept just seems really awesome and I like a good challenge! ;) |
The glasses just seem to fit the challenge more imo, i dunno why it just seems to fit. XD
And don't forget if you want both you can always try to borrow from someone :) I myself only have the gold/black glasses but i am sure there are some silver ones sitting unused in an invo out there XD Thats another thing i meant to put out there, if anyone wants to borrow stuff I don't mind lending out. :) I guess i just have to take a screenie of my invo at some point o: |
