I thought the coal one was far too conceptual for the judges honestly. It was one of my favorites, but I didn't do it because I didn't think the judges would like it. :( I actually was going to enter that one in the first fossil fuels challenge, but I decided against it because I didn't think the judges would like a conceptual avatar. *beats self for not turning it in*

The three I pared it down to were Electricity, Water (because I thought the drowning victim mythos was awesome) and Going Green.

See, I love conceptual and things that have meanings. I was drawn to the water one because of your story for the same reason, but wasn't in love with the avatar.

I do love that going green outfit.

I like conceptual avatars too. XD But I have a hard time going with my gut vs. what I think the judges will like...

I'm kinda the same... if I'd gone with my gut and what I like then I probably would have submitted my water avatar from earlier in the week. But the judges clearly didn't like it all that much so that held me back xD

I suppose I've changed a few things to please the judges. Like layers. I was never much into layers before this competition. In general, though, I figure it's best to go with what I like. After all, what if I were to forgo something I liked in favor of something to please the judges, and then they didn't like it? XD That would be far worse than losing in an outfit I really liked.

P.S. I loved that outfit, Slow. XD

I didn't really pay attention either... well I kind of did, I mainly just lurked and looked at contestants' entries, I never really posted though XD I think I only really started coming in here when I judged last cycle.

I wonder if I'll participate in the next cycle, I don't think so though... especially seeing how long this one went on for, if I'll be gone all summer it wouldn't be very cool of me to devote myself to something I know I won't be able to keep up with XD Maybe the next one, if it's still going on.

I'm still shocked I made it past the first round. XD My outfit was awful. I threw it together at the last minute on my grandparents' ten year old computer that couldn't even completely load Mene.

Damn, 5 months?! You guys serious?! o_O;; That's... a long time. :x Didn't expect this to go on that long, to be honest, but it didn't feel like 5 months for me, seriously. =\ I mean, the wait for the judges' critiques sometimes took long, but 5 months?! @[email protected];;

@ slow : My gut told me to submit my Going Green avatar at first, and also put my old supposed Going Green avatar back to back with the new one to show my progress. But, the other part of my gut told me to forego that and submit something simpler and theme-oriented, because I wanted to show the judges that through this contest, I've improved (hopefully xDD) in terms of themed avatars. =O

@ Cami : Yeah, it's gonna be real weird not being contestants. @[email protected];; I'm so used to checking this thread for PM updates now. xDD;;

@ Creps : You're allowed to participate next cycle again, even if you were a contestant on the this one? =O I didn't know that. ^^;;

Hmmm... I was just remembering some of the godawful things I was making when I first came to the AC and was constantly trying to win the pick xD
