I can think of some pretty easy stereotypes. XD I was hoping the Mulan challenge would actually have avatars relating to styles seen in the movie, but alas~

Keyori 01-16-2010 10:57 PM

This is gonna be neat! I think I'll probably stay out of this thread though, I don't want any descriptions sinking into my brain when I look at WIPs :ninja:

Cami 01-16-2010 11:35 PM

/messing around/

Emo?

Suona 01-16-2010 11:38 PM

Aah. So they weren't twins.

Yes, I am pretty sure the Hadsvich and Kent are RL twins.

Ferra 01-16-2010 11:39 PM

@Cami: :lol:

Seiki Nova 01-17-2010 12:14 AM

This is a different Mulan challenge than I originally had planned. I changed it at the last minute to make it work because I switched the order around a bit and it messed up what I wanted.

Cami 01-17-2010 12:15 AM

What did you originally want?

Seiki Nova 01-17-2010 12:16 AM

It was going to be a team challenge with a double elimination. The teams would come up with a warrior outfit, and a more traditional asian-inspired look to combine both areas of Mulan's life. It probably would have been better, but I fudged it up with the last challenge and switched it around so there isn't an even number of contestants to do a team challenge for this.

Cami 01-17-2010 12:21 AM

That would have been cool. I like the stereotype one though.

Arikana 01-17-2010 12:27 AM

Maybe do a team challenge for the next round, Seiki? Cause that would've been interesting to see what the teams could do! >w<

*Hime* 01-17-2010 12:29 AM

MULAN!
<3
It was on the top of my list!

edit: rofl, you got me there slow c:

Suona 01-17-2010 12:42 AM

You could have held the Mulan off for a different round that had an even number then

Cami 01-17-2010 12:47 AM

There are no rounds left that would work for. Only other round with an even number of people will be the next one, but the last round is supposed to have three people in it.

*Hime* 01-17-2010 12:48 AM

But I Seiki said he was thinking of maybe an extra round?
Why not a face off in the final round?

Suona 01-17-2010 12:49 AM

Then it could have been held off until next round and have had them switched

Ferra 01-17-2010 12:59 AM

Why are there so many team competitions this time anyway? I didn't have to do any of them during the last cycle.

Iro 01-17-2010 01:30 AM

If I am understanding this challenge right, I do not have to specifically try a Mulan, but rather a stereotype of any sort in general, yes? :B

~~xXEl3KtRaXx~~ 01-17-2010 01:50 AM

ooo Mulan... I practically died when I saw the title of the thread...although it now makes me want to eat rice

Seiki Nova 01-17-2010 02:41 AM

You know, I had a plan for how I wanted the rounds layed out, but you guys wanted another challenge so badly that I decided that I would change this one at the last minute to include one more challenge before the final final challenge. I wanted you guys to have the opportunity to make more outfits because you all wanted so many of the different disney movies and the 7 challenges that I had picked out didn't seem enough to make you guys happy. So instead of this being a teams/double elimination round which I was going to do for Challenge 5, I switched how it would work out instead and reworked the theme for this challenge and that's how it worked out.

Ferra, there was originally only supposed to be 10 contestants because I don't like having excess challenges, so I decided to add in a couple of teams challenges/double eliminations to even out the numbers and have it be the same amount of challenges as it would have been if it were a normal 10 contestant group. I don't typically like doing more than one team challenge per cycle, and that's if I do any at all.

Iro, any stereotype is fine with me, yes.

Elektra, it was the only like I could remember off the top of my head from the movie haha. I haven't seen it in probably 8 years?

Rylynne 01-17-2010 05:09 AM

Just woke up~! 8DD;; And yay for a Mulan challenge! :'D <3<3 Interesting though, but I do look forward to seeing people's entries. ^^

Also, Seiki, if it counts, I still like how this challenge is gonna go. =)

Cami 01-17-2010 05:11 AM

I really like the stereotype challenge. <<,, I'll probably make several avatars. XD I have many ideas.

Rylynne 01-17-2010 05:15 AM

Yay then, Cami~! ^^

I was thinking how if I wanted to try a hand at this challenge, then I was gonna try an unusual stereotype, but then I realized that stereotypes are supposed to be common (hence why people stereotype in the general sense), so my idea went kaput. xDD;;

Suona 01-17-2010 05:20 AM

That last round was pretty close on the lower end of the score

Cami 01-17-2010 05:26 AM

Ryl: I just realized we're both wearing overalls.
