I dont know exactly how to define what parents do it. :x
Just some do? Or everyone always says to do so.

Cami 03-08-2010 04:08 AM

I have heard of parents doing that. Better to get it over with. 95% of people will have Chicken Pox at some point in their life.

Swarley 03-08-2010 04:08 AM

Hmm.. I see..

Still, I have to say that I really like the idea. :3nod:
It's a good one, and intriguing to further look into.. :ninja:

Cora 03-08-2010 04:09 AM

I'll have to think of that when my girls get just a little older.

Rylynne 03-08-2010 04:12 AM

That's why I'm terrified, guys. D: I know it's supposed to get worse the older you get it. ;o; </3
But I don't know anyone with Chicken Pox right now! >.<;; </3

Cora 03-08-2010 04:14 AM

Well next time you see someone with chicken pox try and get it quick. Its probably not gonna be pleasant for you even at this point....but it will be 100% worse if you wait.

CK 03-08-2010 04:21 AM

Avian Flu, anyone?

Those humans who contract it usually work with poultry. :x

Sameeeee. T_____T

Cora 03-08-2010 04:32 AM

Its hard not to give criticism T.T

ghostPastry 03-08-2010 04:33 AM

Along with Cora, I've also decided to not give feedback until I judge. And it's so harrrd! :gonk:

Seiki Nova 03-08-2010 04:39 AM

You guys get used to it, I promise.

CK 03-08-2010 04:44 AM

Well, if none of the judges are intending on commenting, I might submit mine early. ::shrugs:: I don't especially mind the risk as I'm busy prepping for things and don't want to forget to submit. :P

Winter Wind 03-08-2010 04:51 AM

CK, your siggy is half funny half creepy. xD

Hey Seiki, can we represent the effects of the disease? For example, lung disease: can we represent the damaged lungs?

Seiki Nova 03-08-2010 04:52 AM

I don't mind the other judges offering up comments at all. I'd encourage them to give comments early on. I just don't do them personally to stay impartial. Its how I've always done it since cycle 3 when I was a judge and Donna was the host.

Windy, yes, you can do that.

Suona 03-08-2010 04:57 AM

lol Now I just have a mental image of Ry chasing a kid with chicken pox. ><;;

That is really clever, CK!
Would the Blood Lotus wings look good on it?

Cora 03-08-2010 05:00 AM

I decided not to give comments this round because I feel alittle ill and dont think they would be helpful xP

I might choose to stay entirely non-commentory though...havent decided yet.

Suona 03-08-2010 05:03 AM

I dont see any problem with the judges giving feedback. :x
I would do so if I were judging.
But couldn't you give feedback once you're feeling a little better, Cora? This round lasts until Thursday after all.

L i x i e 03-08-2010 05:04 AM

Oh, ohkay, thanks Seiki. :3

Cora 03-08-2010 05:04 AM

This is true, but what if I miss people, and only give critiques to a few, that could be misstrewn as being partial to those I offered help to.

Zweres 03-08-2010 05:05 AM

 I have to think of a disease first.

Suona 03-08-2010 05:05 AM

I wouldn't see it that way
I mean, a lot of us are in different time zones, and its not your fault if people aren't commenting in here or asking for feedback.

I know what you mean, Zweres. :x

Zweres 03-08-2010 05:07 AM

I thought about trying HIV/AIDS and representing that with some of the symptoms and (Red) for the fund raising effort against that, but I think its a little too abstract. And red can be alot of things.

Ferra 03-08-2010 05:09 AM

@Zweres: The thing with HIV/AIDS is that it's not the virus itself that kills you, it just destroys your immune system so something small, like a cold, can make you super sick. Like you said, that might be difficult to portray without being very abstract.

@CK: That's definitely amusing. :) I agree with the suggestion that adding blood lotus petals might help, could add more of a chicken appearance and get some more red in there.

Cora 03-08-2010 05:09 AM

Hmm...If you can explain it properly it might not be too abstract, you do have to be able to be decerned but you also need to be able to think outside the box *nodds*

Zweres 03-08-2010 05:11 AM

Yeah, I'm not doing that because I agree, it is too abstract.

I have a week, so I'll take 3 days to think of a good disease and the rest of the time to make an avatar I think will work. :)
