Haha. Its supposed to be a plant on a hill that is overlooking a city, I think. At least thats what it seems like.

I would use the hair, but it might look odd in the sky, because it would block everything.

Yeah, I know it would cover things too much. XD But I like to try items that I don't think would work anyway, just for the heck of it. It keeps things interesting. :B

The painting I'm doing is a portrait anyhow, and it uses red, white, blue, and black.
So that's what I'm doing.
But since it's only a bust shot, I can do whatever I want.

And I don't want to look like the person, that's boring.
SO I'm goign to try to put my own twist on it.
...just I can't balance the bottom.

I know that you really want Starry Night. I didn't want non-renaissance artists to be brought in, but you're so adamant about it that I'll accept it if that's what you want.

But I just wanted to know ahead of time how much to narrow down my searches, that way I dont start finding ones I like and have it turn out that they wont work. So, yes, you would mainly prefer Renaissance time paintings?

Yeah, I would really prefer it to be from renaissance artists to keep with the theme of the cycle.

The Renaissance lasted roughly from the 14th to 17th century. So, would we be able to do any kind of art withen that timeframe, or does it have to be specific to a region?

Su, I love your Starry Night. I was able to guess it, so I suppose that's a good thing X)

Personally I'd drop the tribal dress, since it looks kinda weird over some of the other things you're wearing, but the colors on it are right where they need to be.

If I were a judge, I'd mark you down for not doing a Renaissance painting, especially when the cycle theme is RENAISSANCE. :yes: I'm not a judge, but if everyone else is limiting themselves to Renaissance paintings/sculptures/artwork, then you need to as well. I don't think it's fair to everyone else who are limiting themselves to Renaissance artwork.

But I have to agree with what sizz said. She does have permission to use it, but its really not fair to the other contestants given that they where forced to stay within the boundaries of the renessance. I would prolly dock her a bit for it *shrugs*

Oi vey, it's been a long week.

I second that one....yesterday was absolutely the worst day of my life....

and the rest of the week has been overly busy.

Ah. I haven't completely gone with it, guys. ^^;;
Its just that most of the paintings are very dreary and I can't find anything good to make out of them. But I just had this one call out. I guess I forget that even if I do get permission to use something, others might not approve of the permission and dock it down.
I actually hadn't asked Seiki, and I didn't think I was being persistant. :x I was just trying to work this out and asking for advice on it, and i've just been trying to figure out just how far we're able to search for this round. I've made a couple other avis, but I haven't been able to really make them work all that great.

Everyone seems very against my considering Starry Night, though, so I'm sure it'll only be a very last resort at this point.
