The red overskirt didn't match? :x

Yeah, I always find myself making a few different versions of an avi if I cant decide. ><;;

The big problem is that nothing matches the blue I want. xD
So even if I used the red overskirt, it layers awkwardly under the blue voodoo skirt. D:
And there're no other blue items that can fit with it.

I'm going to try to get enough gold for the matching top to the overskirt.

Try a moon instead of the arch?
Then again, it's more of a pet peeve than anything. mI dislike those arches with a passion.

Yeah, I considered that, but it'd just look a bit odd with the peacock regalia background, and most might find it a bit random.

The arch is up to represent the border around the whole image, really.

And I, too, hate the arch item. But, to me, it suits the theme of the painting. I could be wrong, though.
