So, hi, Mene! You probably haven't been seeing much of me lately, I know. It's not that I've forgotten you or grown bored of Mene, not at all - just that I have been BUSY. Trying to get a new job, designing clothing to sell, trying to learn to play one of my favorite songs on guitar - and I only have 11 days left to get it REALLY down; I plan to record my cover and show it to the original guitarist for his birthday because I know he likes seeing that kind of thing. X3 But most distractingly...I've been talking on another site with two of my best friends.
Which brings me to the topic. Have you ever found yourself so caught up in talking to friends that you started to neglect almost everything else? See, in my case, I'm lucky - one of said friends is soon to become a bandmate, so talking to her has really been poking me to practice, write, and design more. Only really CRITICAL thing that's suffering is my search for a day job. XD But this has happened before...and it didn't go so well back then, because I was still in high school at the time. :sweat: Luckily everything ended okay. But my god. I use to be an addict to gaia, and then my friend told me that the CP event was on, then I went on here a lot more.
But now, I don't go on the computer that much, unless I really have too or i'm uberly bored D; |
I am really addicted to the computer. I need to get off it sometime.
Anyway, friends. Let's see. I have a lot of guy friends that I just really don't like being away from. Mainly cuz theyre guys and I really like guys. Adverse effect of having friends: Christmas shopping. Thank the lord for Jehova witnesses. now I dont have to get my best friend anything because she doesnt celebrate anything. Also, when you have a falling out, but you really can't stand to hurt them by telling them that you really dont want to hang out with them much anymore. The worst thing about friends is feeling like they dont really want to be your friend. Like your just some tag along that they deal with. My friends distract me in class so I dont get all the teacher said and get in trouble for asking. |
I'm addicted to the computer and the internet (and internet games) because my friends are on there XD If I got to see all my friends often in real life, I wouldn't be on the computer as much :3

I wish I had the same problem you do.
Most times its the internet that I spend most of my spare time on. If my friends didn't work so hard and have different schedules than my own I would probably do more with them. Sadly...I doubt that's going to change anytime soon. Once you get older..priorities change. Hopefully soon enough I will be working more than playing around and I won't have as much spare time to play around anymore. |
My friend and I distract each other every time we work together. We get things done on time, but sometimes we switch tasks and things like that.

I'm online all the time because of nothing else to do around here. We normally go out like at least twice a week or so, but sometimes not at all.
Like a few others have said, all but one or two of my friends are on the internet. If they lived near me, I probably wouldn't be online as much. :P |
The one topic that has completely caught my attention. *Giggles* See I tend to get distracted easily. Gaia use to distract me so much and I was so addicted to going there. I would always procrastinate on homework and just post on gaia. I actually am slowly moving away from being on gaia.
When I first joined Mene, I got hooked so much because it was already summer for me. My friend asked if I would join because she was thinking to be on Mene since she wanted to get away from Gaia and so I joined. I love the originality and the avis here. I would be here more too if I wasn't so busy. School just restarted up and after the first two weeks, I am drained. Soon enough I will be fully focused on mene. I actually love this place lots. It is very welcoming and seems so much more fun ^^ The events are awesome as well |
