Destruction Reborn .:More people appreciated--otherwise...dead. TT_TT:.

http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...earcopia-1.jpg
It is the year 687 PW. As in, six hundred eighty-seven years after all of Europe was decimated, and the Americas soon followed suit. The nuclear radiation's spread unleashed abilities believed to be purely fiction to all but a select few before then... telepathy, shapeshifting. Even such fantastical creatures as neko-jin and dracovamps emerged as the radiation faded into a livable condition. Whether they were the result of mutations or had always existed was a mystery.
Technology had certainly advanced... from medications to increase tolerance to the raised radiation levels to homes that run entirely on solar and wind power. Some even combine the two with geothermal and hydroelectricity. But then, that's just a few of the many advances of the day.
With most of the world's leading nations collapsed, politics have been in turmoil. They've never settled since that day, with all the people surviving competing for the land, the empires they aspire to create.
It is in this dangerous, insane world that some may just have a hope of settling even their own tiny niche into a sense of normalcy known by those before the great war.

Several weeks later, she somehow had survived and made it to a neighboring city where she was registered with the government as an orphan despite her parents likely being alive and well within the forest. Evens when they could have charged a village with child endangerment, they chose not to and to instead enroll her into a foster system of sorts.

Two and ten years later, she is at last permitted to leave the strict military school-like home she has resided in for the last six months. It was the twenty-sixth in a long succession, to where she could hardly rattle off her former family names anymore. Over time, she had met but one other of her species and it soon was discovered that he was far older than she and besides that, a different sort of elf. Rather, he was a sun elf, the sort that occasionally appeared quite similar to night elves but relished the sun and summer rather than the light of stars and moon.

And so, she was still stuck precisely where she was, until the fateful day soon. So soon. A gentle soul, forced into this harsh reality at a young age, and toughened to where her true self was masked nearly all the time.

Bio: Alexandru is a man of simplicity from the area that was once Romania pre-destruction. His family roots are the same as Vlad Tepes Dracula's, with Vlad being a direct descendant from many ages ago. His home rests deep within a ruined village in what remains of the Carpathian mountains, yet he and his family were outcasts from the children of the destruction's survivors, as all the past generations of is family were, due to the rumors that developed centuries ago due to his bloodline. That rumor, in shortern terms, is that everyone in his family is cursed with the blood of a vampire and that every few generations the vampire gene will over take one of them.
Well, Alexandru fell into this rumor. A hidden, vampiric gene was activated due to the radiation upon his birth, causing him to be extremely ill for the first month of his life. After he had recovered from this sickness, a strong change was made on a genetic level, making Alexadru of a Dhampir race, even though neither of his parents were vampires.
For years he seemed no different from the other children, often making him curious as to why they would not play with him. When he turned 18, though, he began to notice some changes in his behavior and looks. Once these changes were physically noticeable, he was cast from the village.
Years later he arrived at a rebuilt city and decided to take up home there. He's been there ever since and barely surviving by holding two dead-end jobs since he received no education as a child.
Appearance:
Alexandru

Other: Alexandru has the occasional urge to drink blood and has a few heightened senses that are common to his race.

[[And now, open. Anyone who wants to can join!]]

Trinh walked along, a hidden short blade in tow behind her as she walked along. Hungry, she wondered if there was much to eat that would support her vegetarian lifestyle. Of course, she was within a city that had been cleaned out by thieves and nomads in recent years. How typical.

Either way, she would find something somehow. Over time, she had learned which plants were safe and which weren't, partially during her brief time with her elven kind. With time as a foster child in this hectic world, she had lived with all sorts. Cyborgs, a few shapeshifters... even a vampire once, until the local government had discovered their intentions of feeding off of her.

LucidBane 09-06-2008 09:25 PM

Alexandru sat quietly among the ruins of this desolate city. He was currently on a a month's worth of vacation from both his jobs due to the fact he had broken a wrist not to long ago, rendering him useless as a waiter. It has only been a few days since he started his long break, yet he was already a good distance from the city in which he lived and worked in. it wasn't much, but there was enough activity in it to make a living and survive in.

The wind picked up and a cloud of dust and rubble remain gathered and blew, a few of the dust speaks glowing a toxic green as an effect of the radiation that had settled into the ground ages ago. Since Alexandru no longer had to worry about radiation affecting him, he let himself breath freely during the momentary whirlwind of dirt. Once it had passed him and was moving farther down abandoned street, dancing between decrepit buildings, Alexandru opened his deep gray eyes to stare at the dilapidated building on the other side of the street from the chunk of dry wall and plaster he sat on. It was quite depressing, really. Even more depressing than his small village back among the ruined Carpathians.

With a sigh, he flung his head back, long locks of marble-black hair falling from his face, and sighed. He kept himself like this for a while until he heard a faint sound. Abruptly, he set his head back into a normal position and turned it to the east. A few blocks away, he could see a wandering figure. From what little he could tell of the body language, whoever it was must of been hungry, or something. They just seemed wilted, like a dying flower, as they trudged along. A pang echoed through his heart and Alexandru pushed himself off his seat and began to head towards the wanderer, careful to breath with his mouth and not his nose to avoid picking up a scent that could trigger a bloodlust.

Tsuyukusa 09-06-2008 09:36 PM

Trinh continued along, looking into each dilapidated building she encountered. Not much of a chance of finding things in this neighborhood, but then... one never knew. Quietly, she continued along the street until it began merging into a more suburban neighborhood rather than a business district.
She perked up at this change in the streets, but paused for a moment as she listened. Focusing entirely on listening as she closed her eyes, there was little she missed in a quiet area like this. But only when she listened as intently as she possibly could. It wasn't long before she picked up the sound of breathing, at least one from a humanoid... two others from small, mostly harmless animals. Thankfully.
At least now the night elf simply had to watch out for the humanoid, she thought.
As she opened her eyes once more, Trinh shielded her light-sensitive eyes. Thank goodness dusk would be coming before too long.

LucidBane 09-06-2008 10:35 PM

The girl was about a block away from Alexandru now as the city slowly morphed into a resident area. As he could take in more of her, he picked up his pace. Eventually, he reached her and removed his sunglasses, wincing at the fading sunlight. After a second's hesitation, he extended a friendly arm to her as if offering support.

"Hey, Miss, are you alright? You don't look so good." A frown settled onto Alexandru's face, sagging his features a bit into concern. He crouched a little to get a bit closer to the teenager's eye level. He continued to breathe from his mouth, because he was not too sure about this girl's race, thus didn't know if the scent of her would cause hunger. She was fair skinned with deep, black hair, so she seemed human enough, but something about the taste she left in the air seemed odd. "Can I help you at all?"

Tsuyukusa 09-06-2008 10:54 PM

Trinh looked at him oddly. It was supremely rare for someone to choose to be so nice to her, especially someone she had never met. Her deeply shaded hair, which was actually a truly dark brown, was windblown around her horns. She never had figured out precisely why she had them, but now she fiddled for a moment to get it back how she liked it.
"I'm fine enough... simply looking for a meal. It's been a long time since some proper food, come to think of it." Several days now. At least she could pretty much always find water that was safe. Trinh sighed, wondering how far it would be before she could find much more than dandelions to eat. Of course, she wasn't complaining, but it got old after a good while.

LucidBane 09-06-2008 11:15 PM

Alexandru tilted his head a bit. The further the sun went down, the better he could make out details (this was a sight quirk for his race.) As the girl's hands went up to her head, his eyes followed, noticing a set of horns he had somehow ignored or missed before. When she spoke, he glanced back at her, his onyx-colored eyes softening.

"You're looking for food, you say? I can help you with that, miss. I'm an excellent tracking of various types of goods. Just tell me want to find, and I can find it easy." A smile now usurped the frown, brightening his features greatly. During his comment, he accidentally got a whiff of her scent, causing his eyes to get a very subtle tint of crimson to the onyx irises. "Or do you need shelter, first? There are a few houses along these roads that have held up quite well compared to these other ones." He tilted his head slightly, still watching her in a worried manner, yet remained a bit tense since she was a stranger amid this wasteland.

Tsuyukusa 09-06-2008 11:31 PM

"Anything but red meat. I avoid it as best I can, really." Trinh grinned, her own eyes adjusting excellently to the setting sun. "It's wonderful, once the sun sets..." She muttered, thinking along the same lines as Alexandru.
"I can find shelter, at the least. I won't need it for several hours yet, and not until dawn if I change my mind on staying in the area. Still, might I know your name if you're to be helping?" She was a curious one, to be sure. But cautious, still. Tensely, she fished about in her pack for her water bottle. Quickly, she took a swig, then offered it to the dhampir standing before her. If he didn't take it for a moment, she would simply put it back away.

LucidBane 09-06-2008 11:40 PM

At the mentioning of her disliking red meat, Alexandru blinked a bit in surprise. He had never met a vegetarian before, so it was a new concept for him. Besides, he himself had to eat uncooked red meat all the time to keep his blood thirsts away. After this brief moment of surprise, Alexandru noticed her offering a water bottle. He merely shook his head and reached with his left hand to pat at his hip. On his belt there was an old-fashioned, animal skin water bag. "I'm fine on water, but thank you for offering. And the names Alexandru, but if you wish to save breath, you can just call me Alex. Anyways, miss, do you wish to seek something green for your stomach?" he asked, offered a hand to her.

Alexandru did not bother asking for the teen-aged night elf's name for he knew that if she really wish for him to know it, she would tell him. As he waited to see if she would follow him, he hung his sunglasses from the neck of his white wife-beater shirt, which was lightly coated in dust like his torn and faded blue jeans. His eyes swiftly went to the horizon behind the girl where the darkness of night began to rise. A small, faint green glow loomed right along the horizon, adding a ominious touch to the oncoming night.

Tsuyukusa 09-06-2008 11:52 PM

With that, Trinh put away her own bottle. It was a newer model... Almost a rubber substance, but it was very solid, thin, and kept the contents insulated well as well. How she loved having most recently come from a former military family at times, while at other times hating it. "I've been looking... plenty of the safe variety of dandelions about, but those are only filling." Not nutritional, not tasty in her book.

It was then that it occurred to her to divulge her own name. "By the way, I'm Trinh." She chose not to take his hand, preferring this especially around others she didn't know well yet at all. "No offense," she said about that particular action.

[[Off to dinner! See you in a few. Finished. That was good...]]

LucidBane 09-07-2008 12:21 AM

Alexandru simply pulled back his hand and slipped it into his pocket. He glanced around the darkening surroundings, thinking. "Trinh. That's a lovely name." He glanced back at her. "So, you're seeking greens that are not dandelions, right? Hmmm." Swiftly, Alexandru's eyes carried their gaze back to the city. "In an area like this, life would most likely grow where a lot of people died." He then grinned. "I know! We'll go check the ground floors of where office buildings are or used to be."

After glancing a look back at Trinh, he began to walk back towards the city. His body language became alert and he began to, reluctantly, use his nose to navigate himself around. Luckily for him, Trinh was currently downwind of him. His head would swing from side to side, trying to locate office buildings. "So, what brings a young lass such as yourself to such a harsh and unforgiving area?"

Tsuyukusa 09-07-2008 12:32 AM

"Finally being free of the foster families forced upon me." Trinh said, simply. She loved this so much more than being stuck in a single home, no matter how torn up the location was. As she began to follow Alexandru at a short distance, trying to recall her own exploration of the district. "Look for areas that still smell slightly of blasting powder... it'll most likely be there."
As hearing was her most apt sense, she couldn't exactly hear the small herbs and vegetables were. Besides that, she had a feeling that his sense of smell was more powerful than her own, which was only slightly more so than your average human's.

LucidBane 09-07-2008 12:50 AM

Alexandru looked over his shoulder, giving her a serious sideways glance for a few seconds. When he looked back in front of him, he began to keep his sense of smell open for blast powder. "Well, personally, I sort of envy you're living in foster homes. Then again, I should not really be saying that." A shrug lifted his shoulders momentarily. "Then again, I guess being stuck in one place, no matter how bad that one place was, is better than being bounced around from home to-" Alexandru paused in mid-step, his nostrils flaring. "Blast powder..." he muttered under his breath. "Come this way, if you don't, Trinh!"

As he began to jog off to a building to their left, he tossed Trinh a smile. "I can smell some plants. Can't quite tell if any are herbs yet, but there is defiantly a bit of green!" A second later, he disappeared into the crumbling building, jumping in through a broken window. A thud could be heard as he landed in the darkness. Onyx eyes flashed as he looked around and began to wander about, following his sense of smell until his eyes could adjust to the darkness.

Tsuyukusa 09-07-2008 01:05 AM

In Trinh's mind, regular bombs still meant death. And death meant several bodies in a single area, so blast powder used in those bombs meant the same thing. It was simple association to her, at least. "Not when it means twenty-six homes in just over thirteen years, you wouldn't. I was so lucky that one time I really liked the family and I got to stay there so close to two years..." Her voice trailed off here, then she continued a few moments later as she followed him into the building.
"Although, there were a lot more. One I only stayed in for a week when I was six. A vampire that had never learned to control his thirst was the caretaker then, and they found out about his cutting me so as to make sure his teeth wouldn't change me. He wasn't sure what was true about what was true and what wasn't... so he figured better safe than sorry." Personally, Trinh didn't mind, but it had been illegal to feed off of any younger than the legal age of consent in that district. So she had been torn away from the otherwise extremely generous being.
Otherwise... she made her way inside without cutting herself on what remaining glass there was, thankfully. Her ears were intent, listening to Alex's footsteps. "You're near something softer..." She muttered, having frozen in place several moments ago.

LucidBane 09-07-2008 02:00 AM

Alexandru halted at her last comment, pausing long enough to let his vision adjust to the darkness. Once they had, it was as if he was seeing in the middle of the day. He swept his gaze around, finally spotting a small spot of green growth to the north of him. He pointed in it's direction for Trinh in case her eyes had not adjusted yet.

"I'm sorry to hear you've been in that many homes, Trinh," Alexandru said sweetly as he wandered to the edge of the green patch and crouched down. "As for the vampire, at least they were considerate enough to keep from puncturing. Personally, I've always wondered why vampire bite can hurt so badly, but dhampirs, for some reason, have the ability to inject a chemical to cause the victim to have a euphoric experience. Personally, I think it was an adaption since dhampirs are half human, thus tend to be more upset about causing others pain." He then glanced over his shoulder at her, smiling apologetically. "Sorry, I got a bit off-topic, there. But, trust me, when you're older, you'll probably appreciate the life you had a bit more since by then you will have encounter a few more types of life that are equally, if not more, unpleasant. Anyways, are the plants good enough? And if you need more later, we'll search for more. Alright?" He flashed her another smile.

Tsuyukusa 09-07-2008 02:13 AM

"More than enough for what I have in mind." Trinh carefully selected the best of what was there, even finding the carrotlike vegetables hiding in the midst. Purple, but still perfectly edible. She herself could see better than in the fierce daylight that assaulted her eyes most of the time, so it was a simple matter as she moved quickly. She brought out a small bowl from her pack carefully, filling it with the plants she would rinse shortly if at all possible. Otherwise, she'd simply spritz it with a spray bottle of vinaigrette she had found last week. Much tastier that way.
Standing back up, she smiled at Alexandru. "Thanks. I could have looked half the night and never found this stash, what with how luck is for me." She paused, contemplating what he had said. "True, but still... It's odd for anyone to have more than thirty 'siblings'. I don't know about you, but I certainly prefer this over even my fifth favorite home." Her favorite... she adored, and wished she could have stayed there if there hadn't been a traveler that turned out to be a radical schizophrenic after a boy.

LucidBane 09-07-2008 02:25 AM

As she picked up plants and vegetables, Alexandru rocked back and forth on his heels while in a crouched position. He whistled softly while rocking, eyes scanning the building. In actually seemed pretty durable. If he found a building like this around the morning, it would make an excellent day-time hideout for napping and such. When she began to speak again, Alexandru glanced back at her, watching her as she spoke.

"I'm sorry you had to leave your favorite home. I'm guessing from how you sound when you mention it, you really loved it there. I myself pretty much grew up alone. I mean, I had parents, but they never paid attention to me in my early years. The rest of my village were extremely superstitious and made me an outcast due to my heritage. When I hit my late teens, though, I became exiled and feared by the whole village, my parents fearing and hating me the most. That led me to having to wander out into this desolate world alone without any real education. In a few years, I'll probably become a dead beat bum and live in a bonce in an ally." He gripped his right wrist, fingering the brace that held it in place to let the bones heal properly. "Wasn't the best childhood. If I could of removed one small aspects about my heritage, everything would of been so much better." A sigh left him and he rose to his feet. "Anyways, you probably want to wash those, no?"

Tsuyukusa 09-07-2008 02:33 AM

"Sort of like me. Only... In the village of night elves, they believed that lunar eclipses were bad luck. New moons, not so much. Anyhow, I just happened to be born during one such incident. Once I was weaned, my mother left me to the village." Trinh shook her head, recalling as much as she could from those days. Which was next to nothing, just not remembering who her mother was at all.

She then continued, "Thanks to that, as soon as I could understand what they were saying about me, why the other kids wouldn't play, I ran away. I thought that if they didn't want me, I'd live on my own. That was when I was three..." Her voice trailed off, memories of her final days in the village coming back to her.

Snarky faces shot her way, parents ushering their children away. It was enough to anger her to all ends. She shook her head once more, shoving the thoughts aside. "But that was twelve years ago, probably for the best. Otherwise, I'd have probably been crushed by it by now if I hadn't fought like I did.... But yeah, if at all possible, I'd like to rinse these off." At the least, she could hear the water running unless it was in a pond.

LucidBane 09-07-2008 02:57 AM

Alexandru removed the animal skin water pouch from his side and offered it to her. "This will probably be some of the cleanest water around. The animal skin does a good job of absorbing the radiation from the water and not letting it set back into the liquid." Then, before waiting for her answer, he gently poured in a small amount of the crystal clear water into the blow for her to swish around the greens to clean them up a bit. He then attached the pouch back to his belt.

"Sorry for not waiting for your permission, but I've been here for a day already and I have had very little luck finding any running water. All I found was a few puddles that were infested with insect eggs. And I'm sorry you had a past similar to mine. You don't seem like the person who deserves such a life. At least you were smart enough to escape from it early on." As he said these words, he sat back down on the ground, enjoying the cool, dark interior of the abandoned building.

Tsuyukusa 09-07-2008 05:39 AM

Trinh nodded, not truly caring about the residual radiation. It had created her kind, surely a lot more in small doses over her lifetime wouldn't hurt her too terribly much. However, she used the water and rinsed off each piece carefully, then she dumped the then slightly muddied water. Just enough so that she was quite glad she hadn't eaten the vegetables plain.

With that, she drew out the spritzer and sprayed the now-rinsed food. Yummo. Not caring to hunt for her slightly dirty eating utensils, she used her fingertips to eat, careful not to soak her hands in the flavoring. It was delicious to her, the texture close to right. Few others would agree with her 'finickyness' towards food, but then, she could hardly stand the flavor of most meats. If Trinh tried a bite of beef when she wasn't starving to death quite literally, she'd more likely sick it back up within a few minutes.

When her body was deprived of nutrition, of course it was more tolerant. Just not by too much. Either way, she preferred the light meat of fish if she must have it. That one she could tolerate, especially with the tartness of citrus juice or a smoky flavor.

Once she was done with her dish, she simply poured a tiny amount of her own water into the bowl, rinsing away any residue. As soon as it was rinsed, she placed it back in her pack, not worried about her other things getting mildly wet. Worse had happened to her clothes, so it wasn't a concern.

That finished, she settled back in the shadows of the room, listening intently once more. If anything was approaching, she would know. "You don't seem to be the sort either, but it comes to those who seem to deserve it the least. But then, I'll probably do something that will make it entirely even... Karma was just punishing me early." Not that she truly believed in karma. It was just something simple to blame things on when things went entirely awry.

It was always difficult when she encountered night elves, they had heard of her and what she likely looked like. They knew instantly when they heard that one as young as her was a loner... and avoided her unless they too were nomads or loners. But even then, they were wary. In her first three years of life, she had learned to live as a night elf, but it was difficult to reflect her race when her families insisted on her being diurnal rather than her preferred nocturnal.

[[Sorry for getting so carried away. I guess it's my apology for vanishing like that.]]

LucidBane 09-08-2008 12:55 AM

((Don't worry about being carried away. I normally post that much, well, used to. I'm a bit out of practice.))

Alexandru was silent as he sat there in the dark building, occasionally glancing over to the girl as she rinsed, flavored, and ate her small meal. Seeing her eating and enjoying her food caused his stomach to turn in it's own hunger, reminding him that he had run out of food supplies earlier that day. He'd have to hunt some local game in the early morning, then. Hopefully the few animals in this area would not be too radiated to eat.

So, to take his mind off his hunger, the dhampir decided he'd actual take some time to observe the girl since it seemed he would be with her for at least a few more days. Her pale skin baffled him, for he had always imaged night elves to be darker skinned. Then again, that was just him stereotyping, and stereotypes were not always true. The set of horns that rested upon her head seemed to curl from her hair, as if they were part of it, yet not so free flowing. As his eyes shifted from her horns, he noticed her face had a cherub-like glow to it, yet the hard times in the wastelands seemed to have taken away from some of the child-like nature of a cherub's face. Her body was thin, yet lean from survival. This made him smile a bit. The more he learned about the girl, the more he was surprised she had lived this long, especially since green foods did not supply the best amount of protein. Then again, her race was different, so their body systems might act and require different things.

After she had finished eating, Trinh spoke again, causing Alexandru to come out of his observing state. His eyes went back up to her face, taking note her eyes were the same colors as his were most of the time since he very rarely took his fill of blood. At her comment, he lowered his head in thought, remaining silent for a few seconds. He finally said, "I don't see it as lives like these coming to people who don't deserve them. I see it as more of how people let that type of life affect them. You have people like us who make the most of it and do not let it hinder their development a lot. Then you have others who use it as an excuse to screw up the rest of their life and behave as badly as they want. Our kind, the type that still try to make something out of themselves, are few and far between." A struggled smile stretched his lips a bit. "And it's the other type that karma will destroy."

Then, with a sigh, Alexandru laid down on his back and lifted his right hand above him, as it reaching for the ceiling. He turned his hand this way and that, his face twitching with pain whenever he put his hand into a position that his healing wrist disagreed with. "Now, Trinh, do you wish to continue on this night and take shelter closer to morning? Also, may I ask were you are heading to?"

Tsuyukusa 09-08-2008 01:28 AM

[[I'm used to Gaia role playing with far less literate people. It got annoying, even with the best of friends... And I hate to keep people waiting. So I usually post what you've been seeing up to that one.]]

Trinh shrugged, her shoulders disturbing her long, flowing hair. "It wasn't always this way. At least once I sunk..." At that, she shook her head. "But I don't like to think of that. And besides... Karma's simply a scapegoat for when things go wrong."
Pausing in her thought, she twiddled with a loose scrap of cloth as she stared at the ground. Deep, damp brown saturated the area, even in the darkness. Except where there was vegetation, of course. But then, just as she was growing absorbed, Alexandru spoke. In surprise, she jumped as he said her name. Normally she wasn't jumpy, but then... usually she wasn't around others like this either.

"I was planning on staying in the area overnight, at least. Judging by things, I'll be at least heading into greener areas, simply because there's so much more in the way of living material there. Including food, and occasionally, if I'm lucky, some little animal will keep me warm as I sleep." Trinh was particularly thrilled when she found a fox curled up beside her once. But then, there was the other time that her ear had been itching. When she reached up her hand to scratch the itch, she had discovered a praying mantis treading upon the skin. She had been elated that time, for sure.

Her hands drifted to the few patches of moss near her spot, and she began to pick at small bits of the material. She knew it wasn't good for the moss, but she was distracted by so many things to be paying enough attention to care. "Odd how someone I just met could be dredging up so many things I thought I'd stored away safely," she muttered. Her rich brown eyes stared at her hands, even as she realized what she was doing and replaced as many of the little bits as she could.

[[Ah, same. I actually abandoned my last Gaia account after 2 weeks because the roleplaying there annoyed me so much. I could never find a roleplay that would get my skills better.]]

Alexandru continued to test his wrist as Trinh responded to him. His sensitive ears could pick up the pluck, pluck of her picking at some nearby moss in a near absent-minded manner. Eventually, he rested his hand by his side, still staring up at the ceiling. A piece of rubble dust fell, a few crumbs of plaster landing on his cheek. he swept it away gently as if he were wiping away a tear, then sat up to face Trinh. Just then, a large chunk of plaster landed to his left, causing him to lift up his hand and lean his body away from fallen object as it impacted the floor. A small stream of moonlight fell into the building from the newly formed hole, dust glowing angelically in it's white-wash beams.

After a sigh of relief, Alexandru relaxed, then grinned at Trinh is a juvenile, yet relieved manner. "Well, that was a close call. Anyways, besides the fact the roof is misbehaving and throwing parts of itself at us, does this seem like a good area to camp out? I could easily craft you a make-shift, yet protective, tent with steel bars and other random materials found in these buildings." Pushing himself back up into a crouched position, Alexandru rocked on his heels a bit before rising all the way. "And, sadly, it seems we may end up going our separate ways soon, though. I can help you find a greener area, but not for long. I have to return to the city I live in in about three weeks. I would say, 'Hey, come live with me!', but the only greenery at the city is a park that's currently being grown. All it has are grasses and flowers and a few saplings. Probably won't last long, especially with the heaviness of a possible war coming along."

Then, with soft steps, Alexandru began to walk to the west wall of the large room they were in. He kept his eyes alert for things like steel girders, fabrics, and anything else he could use to make a Trinh-sized hut to protect her from any falling debris. The western wall seemed to be a lost cause until he found a receptionist desk. Excitedly, he jumped over the counter and began to rummage around at the contents behind it.
