A lot of my classes start at 8:30am next semester. :stare:

*falls because Xiel is on top of her*
@[email protected];; xDD;; I wish I get a decent schedule next semester. >.>;; Especially since we're not in priority now... :< |
My schedule is going to be downright psychotic next semester. :cry:
|
Awws. ;_;
Why so? :< |
I'll be attending meetings everyday. :cry:
|
Awws. :x
Meetings for what, if I may ask...? =O |
Err, most likely one club meeting, one caucus meeting, one association meeting, one student government meeting and a committee branch of student government meeting.
I'm representing a caucus to one of the student government bodies, the Residence Halls Association, so I have to attend 3 meetings just for that position. Then I have a club I'm already involved in, and I need to join my major's association to start networking for a future job. I'm going to die next school year. x__x |
Ohh, I see. =O
Woah, so much responsibility. :x I'm sure you'll do fantastic though. =O <3<3 I mean, if you were appointed as a representative, then you must be more than capable. :3 I wish you luck with all that though. =O <3<3 |
Well, um, not appointed, elected. But since I was running uncontested, I guess it's more like I volunteered. XD"
Thanks. <3 Do you get to arrange your own schedule or does the university determine that for you? |
Well, you're still the representative nevertheless. =P <3<3
And us? We get to arrange our own schedules. :3 There are some subjects that we're required to take per semester depending on your course, but you get to pick the time slot for all your subjects. :> More freedom that way. ^^;; |
That's nice. =) We have a set list of required courses to take over the duration of our time in college, but we can take as many as we need each semester and in any order we prefer as long as we satisfy the prerequisites for them. XD"
|
We're sort of the same. =O The only thing is that some subjects are not made available to students until they're, for example, juniors, seniors, and etc. :x So, yeah. @[email protected];;
What the university does though is give you a "balanced" list of subjects you are recommended to take per semester, so that you're not overloaded. xDD;; Not that people follow it to a tee, but it helps. =P <3<3 |
Technically, it's the same here too, but you can get a designation to bypass that system and take whatever you want. XD"
Here we can get advising on how to plan our schedule, but I usually only go look for them when I have questions. The usual ideal is to take 4 classes per semester, which is what I'm adhering to. It allows for enough time to allocate to each class, keep a part time job and participate in extracurricular activities, usually. :lol: |
Quote:
xD Ahhh I see I see. Aww. T__T |
Ohh, I see, I see. =O We also have advising here. xDD;; We have pre-advising and post-advising for the start and end of each semester. ^^;; I try to stick to what they advise me to do though, since it's less of a hassle on my part. 8DD;; <3<3
|
*clings to Seisei* ;-;
Well, considering my advisers here have either been saying, "It hasn't worked well for students to do this (even though it makes more sense to do it this way)," "You should probably talk to someone from that department," or "Take more math courses!" I generally rely more on my own discretion when it comes to planning my schedule, Rylynne. XD" |
Lolz. xDD;; I must be lucky to have good advisers then. ^^;; They generally know what they're doing. =O So, yeah. 8DD;;
We're not required to follow them strictly though. =P So, if ever I do want to veer away from their plans, it's all right. ^^;; As long as I have enough subjects done by the end of my whole college life, I'm good. xDD;; <3<3 |
Well, they're not bad, per se, but the ones I talk to seem to either overestimate or underestimate me, so I usually end up having to reconcile their ideas and take stock of my own abilities. XD"
How far are you from graduating? =) |
Lolz. xDD;; Well, at least you're taking matter into your own hands then. =P <3<3
And me? =O I'm FAARR from graduating. xDD;; Three more years minimum, and that's assuming I do graduate on time. 8DD;; Still gonna enter as a sophomore by June. =P You? =O <3<3 |
Haha, yeah. I'm a sophomore right now. Still have about 2 years to go. =3
|
*clings back*
Seito's going onto be a junior and at least another 3 years. @[email protected] I hate my new advisor. T__T I'm gonna ask to switch. hate advising to begin with. It's nice to have someone more or less comfirm that I need to do or tell me that I can't take this class yet, but my last advisor was no help in telling me about teachers, and my new one is just... i dunno not helpful. |
Eh, how many degrees are you taking? O_o
I've learned that asking faculty about other faculty members is generally not a good idea. I've mostly had good luck with teachers though. Usually, I just go to advisers to ask which prerequisites I REALLY need to take a class I want. XD" |
@ Xiel : Ohh, so you're one year ahead of me then~ =P <3<3 For some reason, I imagined that you were in your third year... xDD;; Dunno where I got that though. ^^;;
|
A lot of people seem to get that notion. I wonder why. XD"
|
I would take it as a compliment, maybe...? xDD;; Perhaps it's because you seem more mature. =O Or, I dunno. ^^;; It was just one of those first impressions I got, is all. 8DD;;
