eBay full of stuff you never knew you wanted until you saw it on there.

Thoth Star 03-25-2009 09:35 PM

I feel like I neglect this cafe too much. ;; Poor thread. lol.

I might get an account on ebay to sell my drum set, hookah and old computer...
It seems to me that some peoples minds are more open to the paranormal and unexplainable while others deny deny deny whenever something remotely strange occurs... I was with a girl once when we saw a ufo, afterwords she denied it ever happened... it was really strange.

HIM_ROCK 03-25-2009 09:46 PM

I read that really wrong then Thoth, I read it as you were once a girl and saw a UFO. XP

Gald I read that again.

Thoth Star 03-27-2009 02:47 AM

Haha that would be weird if I could transform into the opposite sex. xD
Turns out I'm going to arizona for spring break... I'm gonna party super hard. lol.

DizzyKizzy 03-27-2009 08:21 AM

My mother-in-law is psychic. I didn't understand the paranormal until I met that family. Since she talks to them ghosts are in that house all the time. It's really freaky at first but you get used to it once you realize they are just spirits wanting to say hello.

HIM_ROCK 03-27-2009 05:56 PM

I was wondering why seeing a UFO would make have a sex chance.

When you get used to spirits in one place then it doesn't really bother you. It when it's somewhere different and you're not used to spirits that when they can play tricks on you.

Thoth Star 03-27-2009 09:17 PM

Thats pretty weird dizzy... I don't know. People that get involved with the whole ghost-talking thing can probably meet some evil spirits too... Its reminds me of that satanic guy who came up with that board games... Do you ever see any ghosts?

What kinda tricks, HIM? I had a ghost grab my arm once... It scared the crap out of me. ><

HIM_ROCK 03-27-2009 09:21 PM

I've had something grab my wrist, stroke my hair, touch my arm and I know there's something about in this house. I know it watches me but if it's nice or not is yet to be seen.

The most common tricks are tapping on walls, banging doors, wobbling tables all those kind of parlor tricks because it freaks people out when they're stood away from the table and it suddenly starts wobbling. Bangings and tappings freak people out alot espceially when it's silent.

Elmira Swift 03-27-2009 09:31 PM

I've only heard tapping sounds that can't be explained away easily. I'm pretty skeptical, so it takes a fair amount of evidence for me to really believe something. My daughter saw someone in my closet - and it wasn't just stuff or shadows, felt someone touch her face when she was in the shower. Hasn't happened in a while - we asked whomever it was to go away and it all stopped.

HIM_ROCK 03-28-2009 05:38 PM

We have some strange stuff happening like lights flickering, we normally have a couple of lights on in the same room seeing as we only use table lamps most of the time and one will either flicker or go off compleatly then come back on.

We know it's not a power surge because everything would go off because all the power in the house would go out because it would flip the switch so nothing blows up. Also we know it's not a dip in the power either because both lights would flicker and it's not the lights themselves seeing as they pretty new.

DizzyKizzy 03-31-2009 02:52 AM

We sometimes see ghosts here but mostly just the effects. My grandpa turned water from hot to cold on my hubby in the shower. Then another time he made his old lift-type chair go up to full position without anyone around it (the kind that helps old people stand back up). My grandma makes the phone ring alot and have no one there. And yup, they've been gone for awhile but they still come here to visit.

Thoth Star 03-31-2009 04:10 AM

Thats really scary, HIM. Ghosts that can actually make physical contact really freak me out. x----x that one time a ghost grabbed me I thought I would die from the terror...
Well I guess doing small tricks is no big deal for it... but if the ghost ever actually pushes something large over in intent to kill than its going to be a problem..Not all ghosts are neutral.
*nod* when I was in this one haunted house the ghost could actually switch lights on/off and turn on the fan... it was really spooky, I couldn't stay in their for long it seems.

Well yeah tapping doesn't always indicate a ghost... good point, elmira.
Thats pretty freaky... I think children are more capable of seeing ghosts... for some reason.
Its a good thing it stopped when you asked.

Wow, thats amazing Dizzy. I have heard stories like that before... where loved ones return in hopes to keep their same lives going like usual. lol. You would think it would get boring for the ghosts after awhile when everyone's moving on with their lives....

DizzyKizzy 03-31-2009 02:23 PM

My grandpa has been gone the longest. The pattern seems to be a lot of activity after they pass while they visit and then it tapers off. It's as if they see that we are okay without them and they stop coming by as often.

We hear the tapping, too. As well as some touching - spirits like to play with my hair. My son has played with my grandparents in the living room. He was describing them and he hasn't even met one of them but he described her well. I don't think it's scary - I think it's amazing.

On a side note - we don't believe in evil or dark spirits. We only welcome in ones that are friendly and know that our own spirit guides and passed family and friends will help protect us from anything harmful. Usually dark energy is created by the living and can manifest in different ways.

HIM_ROCK 03-31-2009 02:56 PM

It's nice to know that you've got someone looking out for you even though they're not physically here anymore.

Guivre 03-31-2009 06:24 PM

Lol, when my parents died, I told them not to hang around because it would freak me out too much.

Elmira Swift 03-31-2009 06:46 PM

I really didn't notice too much going on after my husband died. Sometimes he pops in to check on us, and it's more of a feeling than anything else. My partner keeps swearing up and down at times that my husband is pestering him. I think it may have to do with just being paranoid - my husband was pretty passive when he was alive.

HIM - that is an awesome cookie! Did you eat him yet?

HIM_ROCK 03-31-2009 07:00 PM

I ate him long ago. Last time I had gingerbread men I made him.

Guivre 03-31-2009 09:05 PM

He was surprisingly accurate, your gingerbread man.

HIM_ROCK 03-31-2009 09:14 PM

I've watched Rocky Horror alot, I think that Dr Frank N Furter's look is imprinted onto my brain.

Guivre 04-01-2009 04:27 PM

It is a very iconic movie. One of my main collaborators was really into that movie and was always sending me mix tapes with tim curry stuff on it.

When I was in high school the local theatre still had the midnite showing of that. Now that kind of thing only seems to happen at cons and college towns. ; ;

HIM_ROCK 04-01-2009 04:31 PM

I went to see the stage show of it which was fun with people yelling things out. The theater where I am is taking up it's use as a cinema again just to show Rocky Horror because it's not the same if you're not is a cosy environment.

Unfortinately we're not allowed to throw things seeing as how messy it would get.

Elmira Swift 04-01-2009 05:41 PM

I haven't seen anything like that type of show in over 20 years. Kinda miss it!

HIM_ROCK 04-01-2009 05:45 PM

I want to watch Shock Treatment which is what happens to Brad and Jannet after the events of Rocky Horror.

I read something about a planned third film which was never released that made me laugh apparently Brad became a bottomless go-go dancer and then died in a accident and was burried wearing nothing except a rhinestone collar and a pair of platform shoes.

Elmira Swift 04-01-2009 06:12 PM

How... appropriate?

HIM_ROCK 04-01-2009 06:24 PM

I do think it is.

One does believe that MTV are going to fail epically with their Rocky Horror remake.
