She's the presenter of a show called Most Haunted where they go to haunted places hoping to find something paranormal and she screams at everything. Even trees then she wonders why she's not come face to face with a ghost yet.

GeminiKizzy 05-06-2009 06:15 PM

lol! That would scare anyone away.

HIM_ROCK 05-06-2009 06:24 PM

She runs around at night screaming sometimes with a group of celebrities who also end up screaming. They do go some creepy places though abandoned hospitals, down secret passageways and castles.

GeminiKizzy 05-06-2009 07:12 PM

*rolls eyes across the floor* See? The problem with that is once someone brings the anxiety level up its contagious. If people are just calm they are more likely to meet ghosts because what ghost would want to show itself to a freaked out person.

btw- my quest thread is loney - go visit please. *puppy dog eyes*

Pearl 05-06-2009 07:17 PM

Ghosts would not show up even when it's calm because they're not real.

GeminiKizzy 05-06-2009 07:26 PM

Pearl, sweetie, if you come into a thread that's title include Paranormal you should have an open mind. What you believe is one opinion. What I believe is another.

Elmira Swift 05-06-2009 10:12 PM

Yvette Fielding is a nut and so is that psychic they have with them - don't recall his name - he seems to faint in every episode. I tell you, I have to watch that show with the volume off because that woman scares me more than the thought of being probed by aliens.

HIM_ROCK 05-06-2009 10:25 PM

I think Yvette scared Derek Acorah off with all her screaming I didn't think much to the new guy. When she does Ghost Hunting With.... she never seems to spend much time with the celebs she's ghost hunting with she spends most of the time out of the way.

Thoth Star 05-07-2009 01:00 AM

I feel like all those psychics on those ghost shows are fakes... I mean, I do believe in ESP and people that have a strong affinity for it but I don't think its something that can be commercialized... ><

Ghost shows are fun though. Yvette.... I've never seen her before.

Oh, I didn't even notice the title. xD
I was just looking for an active thread on Spy.

GeminiKizzy 05-07-2009 06:22 PM

I agree w/Thoth that some of the psychics on those kinds of shows are fakes - either that or they just aren't as good as they think they are, ya know? I've met a few like that who have done some accurate readings but can also be completely off.

HIM_ROCK 05-07-2009 06:27 PM

Alot of these so called psychics just go on body language of the person they're giving a reading to or if they're in a building they can do some pretty accurate guessing depending on the original use of the building.

Thoth Star 05-08-2009 03:22 AM

Hows it going Gemini & HIM?
True, HIM... some of them are just good at lying too.
There's too many psychics that are just in it for the money...
I wish I was psychic.. that would be so cool. xD

GeminiKizzy 05-08-2009 04:25 AM

I'm doing well, Thoth, but it's been a long day so I'm heading off for bed. Good night all!

Thoth Star 05-09-2009 12:30 AM

Ok, talk with you laterz~
Today was soo nice out! It got to 80 f degrees here.

Guivre 05-09-2009 01:04 AM

I've worked as a psychic before, I have a great deal of experience and family history with it. From what I've seen I can say I've only met one person with as much skill as I have -- and I don't even have as much skill (for lack of a better word) than that of one of my paternal aunt's who is the village psychic back in Bulgaria.

What I do see normally is a lot of sincere, totally clueless people, who really want to make a lot of money and please people at the same time. A weird combo, but there it is.

I've seen annoying brats too, and people who know better who have tried to reword my readings and use them on people (I mean, wth?) who really need a reality check.

Elmira Swift 05-09-2009 02:04 PM

That's crazy about how people would do that, Guivre. I've done readings before, but for friends only. Just prefer not doing them because then people call constantly with, "what do you think will happen" questions. So, I stopped doing it. Most of the women in my family are pretty sensitive, but are either super religious and too freaked out to do anything or they're too secular and think it's silly.

HIM_ROCK 05-09-2009 02:33 PM

It's best not to try and find out the whole future you might find out things you don't like.

Elmira Swift 05-09-2009 02:38 PM

Well, there are so many variables - people can change their minds about things.

HIM_ROCK 05-09-2009 02:41 PM

I find it's best not to try and find out you can't really change your mind halfway though a reading because you've either payed up front or you have to pay for a full session.

Unless it's a kind person doing it for free but it's rare you get someone who's willing to do it for nothing.

Elmira Swift 05-09-2009 03:16 PM

I'd often do trades with people, but would find that would get too complicated. I tend to strive to own my own destiny and just roll with the punches life brings.

HIM_ROCK 05-09-2009 03:22 PM

I just go with if it's going to happen there's nothing I can do to stop it happening. I'd rather not know what's going to happen if it's something bad and you know it's comming it just makes things worse.

Thoth Star 05-09-2009 09:48 PM

Well thats nice of you Guivre to help people understand whats going on...
Have you ever been to Bulgaria? Yea, some people do need a reality check.

I'm like you HIM... I'd rather not know and let things decide themselves.
I believe nothing is certain and that through substantial coincidences and other miraculous weird stuff the future can change a billion ways... so its hard for one person to single out your future circumstances and pull apart what will definitely happen from what might happen... I dunno, I just never thought anything was solid. Not even the apocalypse is solid... Hell, God was all "Man it could happen tomorrow or like 2000 yrs from now! Stop hassling me."

HIM_ROCK 05-09-2009 09:53 PM

If something's going to happen you can't really stop it from happening. That's the way I look on things.

Thoth Star 05-09-2009 10:28 PM

I totally agree with you, HIM... Life just happens.
I don't think God has a predestined plan, because I believe in the power of humans choosing their own will... But I also think if a certain course is set than its hard to break away from that...

Anyways, how are you today? ^^ Its soo lovely out. I'm going to go on a bike ride soon I think...
