"Oh gosh." she murmured, listening to his heart beat. "Gro- I mean, Arcanine, carry him back to the house. Charmeleon, you help. Pikachu, you cover our trail. "Char!" "Pika!"

Anrcanine nodded and picked Evan back up.

The man growled and said "give him back, he is a slave and nothing more"

"No he's not!" she protested. Pikachu let out another Thunderbolt and they had dissapeared with Evan and Arcanine.

Arcanine ran besides Thorn and Evan opend his eyes slightly and said "what is going on?"

"You shut it." she said. "We're running. Isn't that obvious?" Pikachu let out another spark in the opposite direction.

Evan looked at her and could only see a blur. when he tryed to talk again he started coughing and some blood came out

"See?! What did I tell you about talking?!" she commanded him. They got to the house and screamed, "Everyone, move out!" soon she was running with much more pokemon into the forest.

Evan had no idea what was going on but didn't try to talk again. He felt like he couldn't move so he just tryed to watch which was hard since he could not focuse very well

Soon pokemon were jumping through the trees and swimming along a creek besides them. "Okay everyone, plan 45-AO!!" she shouted. they all split up, running to different parts of the forest where Thorn would meet them later.

Evan watched the pokemon go but it was kind of hard since everything started to go out of focuse. Then soon he lost counsousnes

Thorn arrived at their destination: a treehouse. she scrambled up the ladder and called, "Arcanine, can you jump up without dropping him?"

Arcanine nodded and jumped up. He landed on a branch gently and looked at Thorn.

"Ok, come in the door and set him down on this mat." She said. She knew ahead of time something like this would happen sooner or later.

Arcanine nodded and came in. He gently layed Evan down on the mat and looked at Thron saying silently to help him.

"Don't worry big guy." She set, patting Arcanine's head. "He'll be alright. Let me see." she turned Evan over and re-wrapped his wounds.

Evan flinched and woke up when she did. He looked at her and smiled

"Ahh, you up!" Thorn said. "See Arcanine? Better than ever!" she called to him, Pikachu and Charmeleon had fallen asleep.

Evan chuckedl which made him hurt a little "I wouldn't say that" he said softly

"What did I say to you about talking?" she demanded. "Now hold still." she sprayed on some medicine.

The medicine stung but after a little bit he felt better

"Come now Arcanine, you get some sleep, I'll watch Evan." She promised it. She hoped he would be okay.....

Arcanine nodded and layed down

Evan looked at Thorn and smiled "seems like I only cause trouble for you"

"No, I cause trouble for myself." she said. "I attacked the man. Who was that goon anyway?"

"dont know, probably someone my old master hired to get me and bring me back to him" he said softly

"Oh. He'll never find us up here!" she said standing. "I could light a bonfire and no one would know." She offered her hand. "Come on, you can sleep in the bed tonight."
