I have yet to watch a horror movie that scares me.
And I've seen A LOT.

I'm probably not easily scared cause I grew up on horror movies and games as a kid. :'D

I found "It" really scary, maybe its because I watched it when i was really little, either way I'm still scared of Clowns because of that movie haha

I don't care what anyone says, IT scared the crap out of me as a kid too. It's that kind of movie that just ruins things for you for the rest of your life. Like drains. And I can't brush my teeth without thinking I'm going to hear a voice from the sink... *shiver*

And what's worse is that when I re-watch it now, I'm still terrified. I do agree most of it was just plain cheesy, but everytime I see that clown's face, I freak out. D":

I actually remember picking up the novel at a thrift store. I got home and opened it up, only to find a piece of paper inside. I unfold it and... BAM! There's his face.
(Some jerkward must've thought it'd be funny to clip out that picture from an old TV Guide magazine and shove it in the book.)
I shit bricks. Seriously.

Right at Your Door.

Probably not what people think of when they hear the words 'scary move.' It's not a horror film or anything like that.

It's about a terrorist attack on Los Angeles involving a dirty bomb and covering the day or so after the bomb detonates. The entire movie is very bleak, and incredibly realistic. The main characters are just average people, and there's certainly a level of fear in the movie akin to how people might actually feel if something like that happened. I think what I found most terrifying about the movie was that it's done in a way that makes it seem like something of that sort could actually happen. Wonderful film, but harrowing.

Well I don't normally get scared of movies or that but when I was a kid I seen Stephan King's IT and thought that was the scariest thing ever! I hated that bloody clown, the deadlights and that stupid kid with the stutter.
I watched it again recently with my boyfriend to show him my childhood fear but actually really enjoyed the film, now able to see the finer points to the film, rather than having a hissy fit over the clown xD

"The Audition"
A Japanese horror film so people who don't like to read or see tons of gore...don't see it.
A cute asian woman who kills men by drugging and using a wiresaw to cut through bone o.o T_T

The scariest movie I've ever seen was The Strangers. I have never screamed in a movie until this one. Actually, scratch that. I didn't even scream. I was so scared, I had to LAUGH to stop myself from screaming!

probibly the hellrasier moives or one of the boggieman movies there both just so creepy...

Tsukipon 10-14-2009 01:04 AM

Definitely the Strangers - and it was a different kind of fear than "ah I am scared"

I saw it in theatres.

I was just reading reviews about this movie, it does sound like it would be really scary but I'm disappointed that there's lots of gore in it. Gore in movies doesn't make me scared, it just seems like a cheap way to freak people out.

Back to topic: Reincarnation (another Japanese horror movie) kept the gore to minimum and still managed to freak me out (really good twist at the end).

the blair witch project. i am still freaked out and i watched that movie months ago. it doesn't help that i like on the edge of woods...

Captain Howdy 10-19-2009 11:08 PM

The Blair Witch Project is a good movie. Too bad the sequel's a steaming pile of crap. ...

I really was terrified watching The Hills Have Eyes (the remake) and also the remakes of The Last House on the Left and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre...I thought they were all really really good movies.

My favorite scary movie has to be Devil's Pond or something like that. Tara Reid's in it. I loved it.
