Presumably, after 9 months a baby will pop out of her, or it won't.
|
If they have a son, he should totally play The Doctor some day. It's a family tradition, sonny!
Biggles - What I read had her pegged at 5 months pregnant (and that's pretty consistent with the bump she seems to be sporting). So maybe we'll know in 4 months! |
Could be, could be.
I find it interesting that for a large part of recorded human history, the gestation time was pegged at around 8 months, not 9. I wonder if more premature infants were born in the past, due to less stellar medical care and perhaps poorer sanitation? |
Quote:
People usually count it as nine months because it usually takes about a month before you know for sure that you're even preggers. |
So we're actually more like a year old than zero years old when we're born. lol.
|
I was three weeks late, and my step-brother was five weeks late, I think. He almost was exactly a year old when he was born. Haha!
|
*sneaks in and glomps everyone*
|
Actually, that's what they do in Korea.
When you're born, they count you as a year old. Then, when you've survived 100 days out of the womb, you're two years old. After that, they celebrate your birthday like everyone else. |
That's pretty interesting.
I used to wonder why we celebrated birth dates and not conception dates, but realized that one, conception dates are sometimes hard to peg, and two, the birthing process is pretty monumental, so I really wouldn't have my birthday be any other way. Haha. |
The system they use in Korea for birthdates seems a bit confusing. But then agian, that's just me.

@Taiyo: No I agree it is a bit confusing, but interesting...As to being born early or late, I was actually born about three months early. Was supposed to be born in August and I was born in April...I think I like the spring birthday better.
|
@ robin: I'm a bit early myself, though not enough to be considered premature. Was supposed to be born in early April and i was born in mid March. And by a funny conincidence, I ended up with my birthday on a pagan holiday!
And JACK HARKNESS IS IN YOUR SIGGY!!!! |
My birthday is on 7/7. Not a holiday (although I think I remember looking it up one day and it's some festival in Sweden or something?) but... lucky, I guess?
|
@Taiyo: That may come from my new liking of Torchwood...been watching it when it's on for about two weeks now. That and Jack is just awesome.
|
Was supposed to be born on Valentine's Day, but was a bit late, so no dice.
|
I was born on St. Patricks day! :'D And I always bring clover badges to school on my birthday, and no one knows what I'm on about... |
I got born on the spring equinox.
@ robin: Owen's hilarious. I might do a Torchwood oneshot when he ends up walking in on Jack and Ianto...well, having bedsheet olympics. I'm guessing that his reaction would be laced with many swearwords. |
That would be Owen for you.
|
The sarcasm is what makes him funny! Especially when he ends up a "Dead Man Walking".
|
I haven't seen torchwood yet, but damn it I loves me some Captain Jack. :insane:
|
Well, he is one hot immortal.....
|
|
Oh he's immortal eh? :O
I didn't know that hehe. ---------- @ljose: No clue. I just barely started chit chattin in here again as well. xD |
@ ljos: We've managed to start a Torchwood conversation from Jack being in robinhoodfan's signature.

I was born the day after Valentines. My birthday has been forgotten in favor of that hated day so many times that I'm really. So very. Tired of it. |
