What?! I was referring to Amy Pond.
I would certainly never do such a thing.... *shifty eyes* :ninja:

TaiyoTsuki 04-16-2011 10:03 PM

Why do I doubt that.

KatMagenta 04-16-2011 10:29 PM

I like Amy. Well I don't dislike her in any case. Whatever shakes your boat.

I'll probably end up writing Who specifically into my exam revision table. ^^;

TaiyoTsuki 04-16-2011 10:58 PM

You know you're a nerd when you write a twelve-page senior paper on Doctor Who. No joke.

Lost in Austen 04-16-2011 11:13 PM

COMPLETELY unrelated to anything we've been talking about, but, does anyone happen to know the name of the hauntingly beautiful song in the background of this video? I don't know French so I can't even google the lyrics. (I've done that before with Spanish songs, but... French isn't exactly phonetical. hehe.)

Cardinal Biggles 04-17-2011 12:19 AM

It certainly sounds familiar. It may have been, may have, on a Canadian programme that highlighted medieval rounds that I watched dozens of moons ago on a weekend morning. But even that programme was a mystery to me.

Lost in Austen 04-17-2011 12:31 AM

*sigh* I hate it when people use music for their YouTube vids but fail to mention the name... >_<

Guess I'll just have to remember to ask my French-speaking uncle sometime. :XD

EDIT: Oh my gosh, I feel so stupid. All I had to do was click on Part 2 and go to the end credits, in which the video's creator did, in fact, say the song title. haha. If anyone's wondering, it's "Le Luneux," by Malicorne.

Cardinal Biggles 04-17-2011 12:56 AM

I'm glad you found out! Too often we end up disappointed. Though... there are internet services and the like that can identify songs by sound alone now a days, I believe.

Lost in Austen 04-17-2011 12:58 AM

Really? Where would one find such a glorious invention? *_*

Um. 5 Free Ways to Identify that Song Stuck in Your Head

TaiyoTsuki 04-17-2011 02:02 AM

Speaking of songs, I'm officially addicted to the ending song for Black Butler.

Cardinal Biggles 04-17-2011 02:03 AM

I've been on a Pulp binge lately.

TaiyoTsuki 04-17-2011 02:34 AM

What's Pulp?

Cardinal Biggles 04-17-2011 02:46 AM

One of the Britpop bands that flourished in the 90s climate.

TaiyoTsuki 04-17-2011 03:42 AM

Oh. I'm more of a rock girl myself.

Cardinal Biggles 04-17-2011 03:45 AM

My tastes vary. But I do naturally gravitate more towards the output of Great Britain.

TaiyoTsuki 04-17-2011 04:12 AM

For me it's Japan when it comes to music.

Cardinal Biggles 04-17-2011 04:13 AM

Yes, you've mentioned.

TaiyoTsuki 04-17-2011 04:45 AM

Hhehehe....*nervous giggle*

I still prefer Amy to Rose.. Rose is my least favourite companion. :x I actually quite like Amy, despite the way she treats people and everything. Though not as much as I like Donna. :B

Lost in Austen 04-17-2011 05:06 PM

Donna's just pure awesome.

Thoughts on River Song? I know a lot of people hate her. Particularly because she's the Doctor's "wife" (I put that in quotes because I know it's not official yet. Moffat could always just be trying to make us think she's the Doctor's wife........)

Cherry Who? 04-17-2011 06:40 PM

DONNA 4EVA <3

I don't mind Rose. She's not my favorite companion, but she didn't bother me too much, and I'd say I liked her. All that really bothered me about her was how she treated Mickey. Otherwise she held her own pretty well, unlike Amy who goes off and gets into trouble and then the Doctor has to come save her.

I probably wouldn't be so bothered by Amy if Rory wasn't in the picture for her to treat like shit, maybe. I mean, he's her husband for piddle's sake... If that whole plot were gone, it'd probably take my feelings about her down from "BURNING HOT LOATHING" to just "occasional annoyance." But I can't be okay with her while we're constantly reminded that she's a complete bitch.

The plot with River is interesting, I'd like to see where it goes. I just hope it doesn't end up ruining some of the mystery of the Doctor. I don't have any problems with River, other than that sometimes she's kind of written like a cheesy action film.

Lost in Austen 04-17-2011 07:27 PM

I know what you mean about River. Sometimes I think she's nothing but a much less awesome, much more over-rated version of Liz Ten (who, by the way, was really cool. I almost wish she could've been the companion instead of River. Though I don't see how that would work out, being as she's, you know, queen of England. )

Cardinal Biggles 04-17-2011 10:11 PM

Apparently Peep Show is on Hulu now :o It was one of my recommendation adverts last night.

Cherry Who? 04-17-2011 10:52 PM

I stayed up unreasonably late watching that on BBCA once.
