Pocky cake! You clever humans are always coming up with interesting new combinations of things to eat -seems highly amused-

LonelyOtaku97 08-10-2011 01:36 AM

Theres nothing wrong with pocky cake.

Cardinal Biggles 08-10-2011 01:39 AM

I must say, I love when people do little projects like this:

LonelyOtaku97 08-10-2011 01:43 AM

Oh thats so cool. I want the 9th doctors outfit

Cardinal Biggles 08-10-2011 01:46 AM

Even though Ten's is more like what I usually wear, I love 11's. Though I would probably fall over in those heels.

The_Crow 08-10-2011 02:42 AM

Is that supposed to be the "womens summer version" of the doctors outfits? I could swear the 9th doctor's one looks like it's fitted for, uhm, chests... >.>

Cardinal Biggles 08-10-2011 02:55 AM

Yeah, it is. I've seen this sort of gender swap coordination done for multiple fictional characters.

Connielass 08-10-2011 03:01 AM

Love love love 9's outfit!

Lost in Austen 08-10-2011 04:06 AM

Did you not notice the high heels, Crow? ^_^

The_Crow 08-10-2011 05:04 AM

I (practically) live in San Francisco, mind you. Stranger clothing choices have walked right past me.

It was a clever pun nonetheless.

I... Curse you, Kat! I fully knew what My Immortal was, but I clicked on that TV Tropes link anyway and I'm still there.

EDIT: Yes, those are definitely women's outfits. Those are definitely not men's shorts.

Precisely. To have raised the Doctor, you've got to be pretty crafty yourself. Which brings me to a point... Time Lord children. Apparently they age, as we've seen our fair share of Time Kids. Flashbacks to the Master in The Sound of Drums and

Season Six Mid-series finale spoilersX

And River/Melody

So they obviously age. But then once fully grown, do they age? Was what we know as the first Doctor (that is, a very old man) a product of having not regenerated before (or it having been a very long time since he had) and he aged, or was he just like that? And if that's the case, then you have to wonder how long it takes them to age since in the Season 6 opener

SPOILERX

The Doctor is 100 or 200 years older than the last time Amy and Rory saw him, yet he hasn't aged a day

Of course, then there is the time that the Master aged 10, but that was artificial, so I don't think that was necessarily a reflection of how he would actually age on his own. Then also, didn't the first or second Doctor die and regenerate simply because his body was too old?

TIME LORDS, MAN. Mystery wrapped in an enigma. At least I figured out if they need to eat.

Perhaps they only age from birth until their first regeneration? And the Doctor had simply not had anything happen to him till he was an old man? Mind you, they hadn't planned on regeneration at the beginning, they only made that bit up because I think Hartnell was ill or something, so he couldn't continue in the role. So they went "oh hey, let's just get a completely different actor and say this is what naturally happens to Time Lords when they die ok".. or something like that.
But it is interesting, I wonder if they've ever made official explanations for this..

Season six mid-series finale spoilersX

..or maybe we'll find something out as we watch River grow up?

TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life.

I've seen people make fandom inspired outfits on websites like Polyvore. Those Doctor ones are cool. I like Nine's but it's a bit formal for my kind of everyday wear.

The_Crow 08-10-2011 06:59 PM

Well, I think Time Lord Children do age as regular children, because in the flashbacks of The Master being taken to the Untempered Schism, he looked eight years old.

My personal theory was that they age 'normallly' until they hit adulthood and then just age super slow after that. So slow, that in our context of watching them, they don't age. I mean the doctor is 900-something, ne? And also when The Master made him 'look' 900, he was severely deformed and such but still alive, same thing for when he was 30-40+100 thanks to the Lazarus technology in the Master's Laser Screwdriver.

After all, The Doctor didn't even steal the TARDIS until he was 200  I also remember him referring to seeing something at age 90 and saying he was a child...

LonelyOtaku97 08-10-2011 09:33 PM

I would so wear the ninths outfit its so cool >.<. your right in the sound of drums he looked really young

Cherry Who? 08-10-2011 10:39 PM

No, Kat! Bad! Bad! No linking Cherry to TVTropes! *squirts with water bottle*

me to. I swear I saw one of big birds relatives one day when I was working at the mall.

LonelyOtaku97 08-10-2011 10:49 PM

Hm not to many weird fashion people around here. of course I live in a much smaller town.

KatMagenta 08-10-2011 11:04 PM

Eek, I'm not actually a cat. *hides behind sofa and hisses*

Living somewhere where people normally wear tracksuits just makes the odder fashion choices stand out even more.

Cherry Who? 08-10-2011 11:54 PM

You know, oddly, I hadn't put the cat/Kat thing together when I said that...

KatMagenta 08-10-2011 11:56 PM

Heh, it probably wasn't even my first thought. I associate water bottles with squirting my cat with them to stop her scratching the furniture.

Cherry Who? 08-11-2011 12:08 AM

Yeah, I was referencing how people punish cats (and some dogs), I just wan't putting it together that your name is essentially cat.

LonelyOtaku97 08-11-2011 02:38 AM

My roomies squirt one of their dogs. As for my cat she attacks my bed alot. Never the scratching post just the bed.

Connielass 08-11-2011 03:09 AM

I snap my fingers at my female cat. Either that or quick lunge at her. Nothing I do works on the male cat. Only my boyfriend can influence the lazytard.

LonelyOtaku97 08-11-2011 03:38 AM

Yeah Maggie is the same way she listens to my boyfriend but not to me.
