Nope. Because it's linked to my old url. I didn't think about that goddamn it. I'll change it now.

Aww. I love that Being Human gif set, Cherry!
And I am also following you now~ |

Booked my ticket for the 50 Years of Doctor Who thing at the Glasgow Film Festival. Aww yiss.
|
Aww, so lucky! There's a thing like that happening in Auckland, but it's mostly Classic Who stuff, and I would be so lost.

I'm... in London... I got my face snowed on today. Tomorrow is the Motormouth charity convention with doctors Five, Six, Seven, Eight, and Ten. I am #43 out of 300. ;) Since I didn't sleep much on the 10 hour flight I just woke up in my hostel like room and didn't know what time it is. Need to figure out what my UK phone contact number is for communication purposes and have somebody wake me up in ample time to get dressed and call a cab... unlike in my own san francisco flat when the taxi came and I was still half naked (needed a shirt + sweater + trenchcoat) and unpacked so I ended up rather randomly throwing things into both my suitcase and carry on -_-.
|
I don't think I could go to london in winter. I just don't trust the snow.
|
Glasgow has dodged all the snow. It's bizarre.
Have a good day, Crow. :) |
Hi guys! Haven't been in here for a while. Sounds like some of you are up to cool stuff. Have fun!
|
I bought The Writer's Tale (Russell T Davies' book) from my library today for 20p. [boogie]
|
Damn I wish I lived in a country were books were cheaper. (Library sales here are like $2 a book)
|
$2 a book is still preferable to the $20 charged at bookstores, anyway. @[email protected]
|
The RRP in the cover is £30. O_o
It's 20p each for all adult books and 10p for kids books. I guess they really want rid of those books. |
A tiny little thrift store near me has prices like that. 25 cents for paperbacks and 50 cents for hardcovers. Occasionally they'll get a really popular book in hardcover and mark that up to a dollar, but not much. Their selection is small, but everchanging and I've found some real gems there. My best find was a 1960s color illustrated collection of Sherlock Holmes stories.
I gotta go in there this week. It's been over a month since I was last there, so I bet a ton of treasures I'll love have piled up. [eager] |

I was going to say something about exchange rates, but I pulled up a USD to NZD converter, and $20 here is only about $23 for you, and $50 for you is $42 for me. Holy. @[email protected]
And people wonder why the print industry is floundering. |
Yep. So mostly I either have to wait until it comes out in paperback, and pay 20-30 instead, or if I really want to read it, save up for a week or two before it comes out. [:(]

hiya, Carebear! |
Hummy buddy! It's been weeks! What's up?!

I got a $50 gift card to Amazon over Christmas. Still pondering what to do with it.
|
Does it work on used items you can buy from third parties through Amazon? If so, I recommend that, so you can stretch it farther.
As for the item(s) it/themselves... Something you've been wanting but wouldn't normally buy for yourself due to the price. [:)] |
As far as I know, Amazon gift cards can be used on anything bought through Amazon.
|
The sort of thing I wouldn't buy for myself would be antiques, and Amazon doesn't really trade in those.
|
Well, no... But maybe a nice pair of boots or pretty edition of your favorite book? Hadn't there been a DVD set you were considering buying a while back but couldn't justify the price?
|
Oh like Granada? Yeah, maybe. I was thinking of getting The Graphic Canon, but that isn't instock, exactly.
