Heh, I'd only read this story (spoilers for Waters of Mars) but from this earlier story it sounds like it's going to be a non-spoilery clip from The End of Time.

Lost in Austen 11-17-2009 10:23 PM

Hmm. Well I hope it's more than just a clip. Even if it's silly like "Attack of the Graske," at least it's something. ^_^

And I assume you've all seen the Red Nose Day sketch with Catherine Tate? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxB1gB6K-2A) I still watch that one on a near-monthly basis. XD

KatMagenta 11-17-2009 10:29 PM

That reminds me I've never seen the SJA Red Nose Day sketch. This shall be rectified!

I'd ask someone if they were "talking Scottish right now" but they'd probably hit me.
Edit: Just noticed the poster on the door, we had the same one in our secondary school. XD

Connielass 11-18-2009 12:42 AM

I was trying to figure out what was wrong with him when I was watching the interview.

He shaved his sideburns off.

That over with, I came last to the clip where he talked about coming from the UK to the US and how it's different but the same.
Gave me a sense of vindication, considering that most people in my area really don't know what you're talking about when you mention the Doctor.
I was starting to feel like I was a follower of a cult phenomenon, I've found so few people who know about it in the US.

And who was on that t-shirt he was wearing?! It bothered me.

And yes, I saw that sketch a while ago. Never gets old!

Lost in Austen 11-18-2009 02:30 AM

@Kat: I tell people "I ain't bovvered" (that's how they spelled it on Lauren's grave! lol) all the time... But naturally nobody on this side of the Atlantic gets the joke. *is sad*

@Connie: No sideburns? I didn't notice, but there did seem to be something different about him. Gonna miss the sideburns. lol. And as to the t-shirt, it's Lou Reed, according to this interview, which by the way, is way better than the other ones.

Heeheehee, oh my god you guys. Following Neil Gaiman on Twitter is finally paying off.

Most epic spoiler EVERX

Rosebud was his Tardis.

(not really a spoiler)

Saiyana2 11-18-2009 05:29 AM

Aww that's so lame.

Lost in Austen 11-18-2009 05:21 PM

@Bri: haha, that would actually be pretty scary if it were true. XD

Well, I looked for Matt Smith on twitter, and Mattio_RH looks pretty legit, though you never can really tell whether someone's a poser or not, unless they have the "Verified Account" button at the top, which many don't.

I'm going to a sleepover on Saturday and I am going to take every DW DVD I can get my dainty little mitts on :3

Lost in Austen 11-18-2009 08:10 PM

sheesh, I wish MY real-life friends liked Doctor Who. Instead, every time I mention it, they get all wide-eyed and quickly change the subject. As if I'd just brought up child labor or some other controversial issue. Their reaction is hilarious but also infuriating. lol

Insert_Witty_Username 11-18-2009 08:17 PM

Most people I know like Doctor Who... I can't imagine life without it :3

Lost in Austen 11-18-2009 08:22 PM

Hmm.... Where do you live again? Perhaps I should move there. :D

Insert_Witty_Username 11-18-2009 08:24 PM

Yorkshire :3 Lovely, wet, cold weather. I recomend staying where you are if you don't like rain and wind.

The Magiek 11-18-2009 10:32 PM

No one I know really like it one of my friends doesn't mind it but that's because one of his favorite singers was on as a gust star. I think I could probably get him to watch more though >.>

KatMagenta 11-19-2009 12:50 AM

Back home most of my friends had never seen Doctor Who and didn't really have an opinion of it. -_-

Pfft, I thought I knew rain. Then I moved to Scotland.

+ Gaiman ftw.

Saiyana2 11-19-2009 01:46 AM

Well we have a group that gets together every Friday night to watch Dr Who, Stargate Universe and Sanctuary

I've been there on holiday twice. It was bostly pleasant but a couple o' times it absolutely bucketed down.

Saiyana2 11-19-2009 08:13 AM

You should join a Starfleet chapter. I do so want to come visit England someday, I don't mind rain. It's better than snow anytime.

Insert_Witty_Username 11-19-2009 03:51 PM

We rarely get snow. Sometimes in December... not often though... I wish we did. I wanna build a snow-dalek :3

ghostPastry 11-19-2009 06:30 PM

@Witty- DO NOT BLASPHEME.

Insert_Witty_Username 11-19-2009 06:39 PM

But a snow-dalek would be AWESOME!

Connielass 11-19-2009 06:50 PM

A snow-dalek would come to life and be all EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!!

Insert_Witty_Username 11-19-2009 06:52 PM

I'd throw hot water over it and melt it. Problem solved! ^^
