o.o;; I didn't know there was a limitation on his regeneration.. oooh that's going to be interesting. xD I bet it'll stay popular, so they'll certainly find a way around it..

>=3 Can't wait to see how it all turns out

Rhumbullion 03-10-2010 10:32 PM

Hey all. Been a while since I was here. How is everyone?

Rising_Violet 03-10-2010 10:48 PM

Hello I don't remember ever seeing you before, I'm fine. HOw about you?

Rhumbullion 03-10-2010 10:58 PM

Yeah. I haven't been in here in a few weeks.

I am fine. Just screwing around at work. :) How are you?

Rising_Violet 03-10-2010 11:52 PM

xD I should be doing my English project..

ljosberinn 03-10-2010 11:58 PM

I thought it was 13? Or was it 13 different bodies = 12 regenerations? (Does that make sense? Brain no do maths now.) I bet they'll just go "Oh well he's the last of the Time Lords so he doesn't actually have to obey that rule anymore since there's no one around to enforce it!" because apparently it is a rule or a law rather than a biological thing? I think?

lonelyotaku 03-11-2010 12:52 AM

well if you also count the regeneration after the dalek zapped the 10th doctor, i'm not sure if that does count because he stayed the same that was a waste of regeneration wasn''t it?

ljosberinn 03-11-2010 01:09 AM

Yeah there's also that.. technically he regenerated, he just kept the same body, right?

lonelyotaku 03-11-2010 01:26 AM

yeah he did but he just stayed the same which is weird but hey it works it was just weird i remember seeing and was like wtf?! why did he stay the same?

All I know is, if he just keeps regenerating, eventually the show's got to end, because one day he'll end up as a kid, and if he gets caught as a kid in modern London, he'll be picked up for truancy, and then the world will end because he'll be too busy trying to get out of that mess to save to world.

Hey, everyone!! I havnt been on Mene for a few weeks, really. Is there any important Series 5 news I missed? lol. This is usually where I go to get most of my information. ^__^

Not necessarily. They could easily skip that rule as well. (Just like any other rule!) Make it so that he won't get any younger than Matt Smith. I mean, really, if the 12th Doctor is even younger, it'll just be ridiculous.
Anyway, Peter Davison was an exception to the age thing, at least.

Hey lost, welcome back! I don't think you've missed much.. I've put the air dates for the beginning of the series on the first page, I think that's pretty much it. Possibly some links to pictures, but I can't remember anything too interesting. P:

Rising_Violet 03-12-2010 03:39 AM

Y'know he keeps regenerating as a guy, a human-looking guy... So I'm wondering if it's possible for him to regenerate into a girl.. He was freaking out in the special when he regenerated cause his hair was long xD; Or even if it's possible for him to regenerate to look like another specie...

lonelyotaku 03-12-2010 05:48 AM

um i don't think it would matter but i like the doctors regenerations just the way they are, I mean David was a really attractive guy, although the doctor does have a daughter does that count?

ljosberinn 03-12-2010 03:13 PM

I think it's possible for him to regenerate into the opposite sex, but I'm not sure. I'm faaaairly sure it is possible to regenerate into other species as I think some other Time Lords have? In the old series? I don't have anything to back this up though..

And who is to say they're human-looking? Maybe we're just Time Lord-looking. ;)

Connielass 03-12-2010 03:14 PM

Yeah, there was a small debate a while ago over whether she counts as a full Doctor or not, since she was cloned and not born from a mother.
Will she live a full Gallifreyan life, or will she only have a half-life?
Will she regenerate fully, or will she only revive with one form?

All that stuff.

KatMagenta 03-12-2010 03:18 PM

When he regenerates into a woman it'll be Joanna Lumley.
(old school Comic Relief Doctor Who sketch of win)

My sources of Who news are mostly Blogtor Who (there are a lot of spoilers there mind) or Digital Spy.

Ah, the official site says there won't be tickets for the screenings on the tour. I will kidnap a school child if I have to pretend to be one to see it.

ljosberinn 03-12-2010 06:57 PM

Oh, you're talking about his cloned daughter, durr.. it took me a while to understand Connie's comment. I was thinking of his granddaughter, Susan. But yeah, I think she (the clone) is not able to regenerate? There is the question whether we will run into her again though.. it seems a bit pointless to save her if we're never going to see her again anyway.

KatMagenta 03-12-2010 07:11 PM

Doesn't Jenny sort-of-regenerate (there was some kind of glowing) but as herself still?

I'm probably the only person in the universe that would be happy to never see her again. -_-

lonelyotaku 03-12-2010 07:28 PM

hmmm well i guess it doesn't count maybe he will regenerate into a woman but would he have the same personality if he was woman?

ljosberinn 03-12-2010 07:38 PM

Kat, didn't she just regenerate because of the whole planet.. plant.. life.. force.. thing? It's been a while since I saw it. (And Jenny, that was her name!)
I thought she was alright, a bit too uh, adorable for my tastes really. I could picture her in a spin-off aimed at children, but we already have Sarah Jane for that, so.

Otaku, his personality always changes anyway, so I don't see why it shouldn't if he changed into a woman.

KatMagenta 03-12-2010 07:45 PM

I've never re-watched The Doctor's Daughter. At the time it just infuriated me so most of my dislike towards Jenny is probably just 'nerd rage'. ^^;

Woo Sarah Jane Adventures. It's been commissioned for two more series.

lonelyotaku 03-12-2010 07:52 PM

oh speaking of sarah jane i say in an older episode of doctor who with tom baker and totally freaked out, i was like oh my god it was sarah jane and then the episode ended with a robot trying to kill her darn :(

x-cutie-x-pie-x 03-12-2010 07:55 PM

I love Sarah Jane adventures ^^~ <3

Omg. I saw Alice in wonderland with my friends today (Day off, Teacher training, LOL) and I saw the doctor who promo in 3D. o:
It looks much better in 3-D, and the weeping angel is like.. rahhh! :3

lonelyotaku 03-12-2010 07:59 PM
