The Doctor Who 3D cover of SFX magazine (the May issue) is really good looking. Was tempted but £3.99 was more than the cost of my shopping today. ^^;

I went to look at their website and they had this new trailer from the screening in Cardiff last night (series 5 spoilers). So exited now, aiee!

Lost in Austen 03-20-2010 11:14 PM

I *am* getting excited! woot!!! ...Still havn't entirely made my peace with the Doctor's latest regeneration, but I'm liking the character of Amy already. She looks like she'll be an awesome companion.

And I was watching "Lost in Austen" again today, and thought the actress who plays Mrs. Bennet looked incredibly familiar.... then I went OMG IT'S ALEX KINGSTON!!! Her personality was soooo different from River Song's that it took me a long time to realize. hehe

lonelyotaku 03-20-2010 11:27 PM

I really do hope i get to see the new episodes.

Albie626 03-21-2010 12:45 AM

Scribbled Lore 03-21-2010 01:18 AM

Whee, I finally got to see "Forest of the Dead!" I had missed it during the Doctor Who marathon and thought I wouldn't get another chance to see it. Yay, for reruns.

"Ice cream. Ice cream. Ice cream." o___o

lonelyotaku 03-21-2010 04:05 AM

don't get me in the mood for ice cream

Scribbled Lore 03-21-2010 05:01 PM

"Hey, who turned out the lights?"

I think the communicator is the scariest part of the episode. I wouldn't want to die like that and have my last thoughts keep repeating over and over aloud for everyone to hear. That's just too much for me.

Lost in Austen 03-21-2010 05:12 PM

Yeah... The one thing I didn't get was how the communicator was able to respond to Donna. That was freaky. Or maybe it just seemed like that. But it was asking "Is that the nice lady?" and then when Donna said "Yeah, I'm here" then it stopped asking. So it was like, a bit of her consciousness was still there. That's why they called it "ghosting," and not just "repeating." SCARY!

Scribbled Lore 03-21-2010 06:44 PM

Eek!

It was nice to have an episode where everyone didn't have to die. That was really cool. Unfortunately, as CZ points out, both the Doctor and Donna had to lose someone they cared about in order to develop as people.

Lost in Austen 03-21-2010 09:29 PM

Who's CZ......?

Scribbled Lore 03-21-2010 09:41 PM

:XD My bad!

CZ is short for Corporate Zombie; my partner and we live together. A lot of the time he passes through the computer room and will stop to read over my shoulder when I'm posting. Sometimes he'll comment on what I'm replying to and he'll end up as part of the reply. He has an account on here but is rarely ever online much to my disappointment.

Lost in Austen 03-21-2010 09:50 PM

Ah, I see. lol. But yeah, it was nice to have an episode where everybody lived! :D

Scribbled Lore 03-21-2010 09:53 PM

Isn't it? It seems like a lot of Doctor Who is fraught with people dying left and right.

Edit:

Or at least suffering horrible fates.
