Go watch Castrovalva with the 5th doctor. All of part 1 takes place in the halls of the Tardis.

Also did anyone see the new ep The Beast Below? The Smilers were creepy!

lonelyotaku 04-12-2010 08:10 PM

KatMagenta 04-12-2010 08:15 PM

I was worried about the Smilers when I saw the little picture of them in the promo pictures and the trailer but they were actually very good.

I only get to see one more episode on the telly and then it's iPlayer from then on. >.<

When they got up out of the booths it was really creepy! XD

Good luck with that. There's always other ways to find it (yar!)

TaiyoTsuki 04-12-2010 09:54 PM

*saves pics* Me likies!

Maybe they've had Extreme Makeover: TARDIS Edition? Either way, I kinda like it.

lonelyotaku 04-13-2010 04:14 PM

extreme makeover tardis edition that would be so funny.

KatMagenta 04-13-2010 10:32 PM

That's one of the moments I was thinking of Six, but I'm terrible at judging what is and isn't spoilery.

Heh, I don't have a TV in my room at uni. People are always watching DVDs in the TV room and playing PS2 in the common room so I just stick to iPlayer.

Sixkiller 04-14-2010 12:07 AM

I'm excited for Victory of the Daleks! Especially with the Power of the Daleks reference. *Mock Dalek voice* I Am Your Sol~dier

lonelyotaku 04-14-2010 02:36 AM

Lost in Austen 04-14-2010 03:05 AM

lonelyotaku: Remember that one-word posts are considered to be spam!! D:

But yes.. Exterminate!!!
This episode looks fascinating.
What are we gonna have... Nazi Daleks?
'Twas only a matter of time, 'twas only a matter of time!

lonelyotaku 04-14-2010 03:30 AM

nazi daleks sound really evil could u imagine a picture of hitler with a nazi dalek next to him XD

Lost in Austen 04-14-2010 12:46 PM

Well... I don't think I liked "The Beast Below" as much as "The Eleventh Hour." I mean, Liz Ten was awesome ("Basically, I rule!") and the whole concept was epic (Moffat FTW!) but it all just seemed a bit rushed, and Eleven mentions the Time War with very little emotion.

ljosberinn 04-14-2010 03:41 PM

Hey guys! I'm not reading the thread because I haven't seen the last episode and don't want any spoilers, and I'm not stopping for long, just wanted to ask for your assistance for an art project I'm working on. I just need you to check out this link (safe link, I promise P: ) and follow the instructions there by leaving a comment. I'd really appreciate it if you'd help me out. :)

In other news, I can't get the internet to work for me at home, so don't know how much I'll be online. Stupid internet. Hopefully get it to work soon though. And then I can get moar Doctor to watch and participate in the thread again. Sorry for all the away time, hope everyone is doing alright.

See I think they did the breif mention specifically to move away from the RTD era of the Doctor wallowing in his own sorrow over the Time War. Every other episode included a speech about how bad the time war was and how he was the last of his kind and after a while I personally got tired of being beaten over the head with it. Moffat felt like he had to mention it at least so it's just "A bad day that he's trying to forget but he won't" and bam we're done let's move on.
I do agree it felt rushed but it was incredibly short. I think after credits and everything it was like 42 minutes long.
I did like the end where he got mad "Don't talk to me, NO HUMAN HAS ANYTHING TO SAY TO ME!" I was like, damn, he's ticked off now! I liked it though. It almost hit the 11th Hour bar but not quite.

Lost in Austen 04-14-2010 07:09 PM

See, I'm still on the fence as to some of those teary scenes by RTD. On one hand, its a good chance to see marvelous acting from Tennant, but on the other hand-- it just gets to be too much sad! ("too much sad?" haha)

I cannot waaaiiittt to see Eleven in the WW2 era! The historical episodes are always so much fun. Anyone got any theories on how the Daleks will be involved...?

lonelyotaku 04-14-2010 07:39 PM

doctor who starts soon start counting down the days folks!

Sixkiller 04-14-2010 07:58 PM

I'm thinking it'll be the same as in Power of the Daleks where Winston Churchhill will think they're agreeing to help them win the war but in reality the Daleks are using the war to their own means. :3

I'm not saying the RTD teary scenes didn't serve a purpose, but I'm just glad they're not making it all about how sad and alone the Doctor is. Incidentally whilst watching thse episodes do a body count as to how many people actually die during the episode (not before or after) I think between the two I counted 1 dead body O.o as compared to the 6-10 there were in the first two RTD eps

TaiyoTsuki 04-14-2010 10:58 PM

I is bored.

lonelyotaku 04-15-2010 02:20 AM
