Sixkiller 05-25-2010 12:25 PM

That was in the beginning of Vampires of Venice

Lost in Austen 05-25-2010 12:52 PM

Ohh, that's right. Wow. I need to wake up. :XP

ljosberinn 05-25-2010 01:44 PM

Haha, I loved that cake scene.. so random! xD

I've created an event thread for the TARDIS guys, so come chat here during the event! We usually manage to attract the attention of Who fans who have not yet seen this thread during the events, so let's keep it alive, yeah? :)

Sixkiller 05-25-2010 02:39 PM

Any theories for the Finale? It's been confirmed that the last two eps will "reintroduce the Cybrus Cybermen"

TaiyoTsuki 05-25-2010 08:51 PM

Hello fellow Whovians!

Lost in Austen 05-25-2010 09:27 PM

Hey, Taiyo!! Have you checked out our TARDIS event thread yet? ^_____^

TaiyoTsuki 05-25-2010 09:28 PM

Haven't found it yet. *goes searching*

Lost in Austen 05-25-2010 09:33 PM

lonelyotaku 05-26-2010 12:50 AM

aw man i shouldn't have read those spoilers but hey it was cute when the ninth doctor saved rose's life. and I wish i was watching doctor who right now

Lost in Austen 05-26-2010 12:55 AM

Yes, it was cute. One of my favorite episodes from that season.

Connielass 05-26-2010 04:02 AM

Speaking of cuteness, Lost, you're looking rather so yourself!

Lost in Austen 05-26-2010 11:00 AM

Why thank you!! I was trying to take it in a steampunk direction (as are most people these days) but in the avatar games, everyone keeps describing it as "an Irishwoman looking for gold at the end of the rainbow" hahaha. I suppose it's the tam o' shanter. I need a monacle or something. So I can be a steampunk Irishwoman looking for gold at the end of the rainbow. :XD

x-cutie-x-pie-x 05-30-2010 12:29 AM

omg I've missed like, the whole event ;A; </3

Lost in Austen 05-30-2010 12:40 AM

Dont worry, its not over until June 2nd!!

And for those of you who have seen "Cold Blood"...

Shhh...... SPOILERS......X

OWE MAI FREEKEENG GAWSHNESS. O-o
This episode had me in tears. I was just beginning to love Rory, too!! And yeah, um, Karen Gillan was so much more convincing in this death scene than the last. xD

My gut feeling is that Rory will be back... But then, it's not like the promo pics showed the Doctor, Amy, and Rory. It was just the first two. So maybe he wasn't meant to be a permanent companion afterall. Dangittt. -_- Well, the fact that the Doctor found the engagement ring is what really confuses me. It's unclear whether HE remembers Rory or not, but he did look curiously at the ring. So maybe that'll be how Amy eventually (and hopefully) remembers him...

And the piece of Tardis shrapnel? HOSHITTT. I was laughing through my tears. Giggling with excitement for the upcoming awesomeness. This is gonna be one cool finale.

Sixkiller 05-30-2010 04:31 PM

SPOILERX

I KNOW! Why Rory! Why?! D: I think Amy was more convincing here because the last time he died it could have possibly been a dream. So there was still a chance to see him, where as here he's dead. No dream just dead. The Doctor Remembers him because he's from a different time and a different world like he said. Notice how she bounced back almost completely and the Doctor was still shut down by it. Amy hasn't forgotten him completely though, "Hello me! Wait... never mind I thought I saw some one else there." I think when they open the pandorica The Tardis will explode causing the cracks which causes the silence. The Doctor will give Amy the ring and she'll remember Rory, who has now been taken into the Pandorica and her love for him will bring him back.

This is such a good season!

x-cutie-x-pie-x 05-30-2010 04:53 PM

LOL, Your signature Lostin XDD ♥♥

KatMagenta 05-30-2010 06:58 PM

Ha ha, your responses to Cold Blood are so much more eloquent than my real life reaction.

Which was...X

When I'd stopped shouting "NO!" at the TV I managed to throw in a few swear words as well.

Otherwise I have nothing really to add as usual because every else is better at this word business than me. I want it to be next Saturday now. >.<

Connielass 05-31-2010 07:11 AM

I want to read the spoilers.....

Sixkiller 05-31-2010 01:02 PM

No you really don't they're sad news. :<

x-cutie-x-pie-x 05-31-2010 11:08 PM

I finally finished watching Cold Blood. XD

SPOILERX

NOOOO, THEY KILLED RORY TT O TT" I was actually starting to like him ;^;

Like everyone else said, Amy was much more convincing this time. and the bit where she forgot about him, she did it really well. But still ;^;
She forgot.

That bit when rory was like, "we were both on the hill" made me wanna cry TT_______TT

lonelyotaku 06-01-2010 02:43 AM

I'm behind on all my episodes for doctor who it sucks so much since I don't have cable in my room.

Lost in Austen 06-03-2010 01:12 AM

Mega-post, I chose you!!

I've been watching my newly-arrived Series 4 DVD (not in order, mind you... Just, whichever episode I feel like watching at the time) and today was The Stolen Earth/Journey's End. I had completely forgotten the sheer power that some well-composed music can have over me. Any time they played "Dream of a Normal Death" (and, I believe, a little bit of "This Is Gallifrey" as well) during the emotional scenes, it brought me to tears each time. And the "action theme" for the Tennant years was really good, too. I'm not too fond of Eleven's "action theme"... Its very unoriginal-sounding. If you don't know what I mean, listen to them both one after another....

Listen to this. All the power, mystery, and immensity of all that is Doctor Who. Its part battle march, part chase scene, entirely made of awesome. Particularly from 2:34 to 2:55... We do not expect that! And 3:15 to 3:49, have you ever heard anything finer? Murray Gold is a musical genius, who's translated the essence of Doctor Who into a stunningly remarkable piece of music.

Now listen to this. And please don't get me wrong... I'm not dissing Matt Smith, Series 5, or anything or anyone!! This is just my personal opinion, which I'm doing my best to put into words so we can have a nice conversation about it, lol. Anyway, this is what my younger sister used to call "ah-wah-wah" music. Its what movies throw into sequences to make them seem a thousand times more epic, when in reality a different type of music would sound much better. Human voices going "ah-wah-wah" is overrated, don't you think? Now, at 0:29 it gets really brilliant, I'll grant it that. It really seems to mesh well with the whole character of Eleven, as well. And its gorgeous; I love it. But that being said, the vocals (which tend to come in a LOT during the episodes) still ruin it, in my opinion.

What say you?

ljosberinn 06-03-2010 01:39 AM

Argh. I just moved back home for the summer and it looks like my parents have blocked Youtube. :| So I can't add anything to your post, Lost, though I really wish now that I could because it sounds like an interesting thought. I usually don't pay much attention to the background music, although I realise it is incredibly important.

Also, Cold Blood. Wahhhh. ;____;

solaria92 06-03-2010 01:39 AM

I agree, Lostin. Vocals just didn't quite do it for me. :(
