No they didn't. Gah I feel like a retard. So I called the normal police number after all since thats how you have to get animal control out here. Animal control isn't working today so they sent out an office. The guy was really nice they had me give Timber water which I normally do anyway. I feel like a retard because I was more worried about him not having water and being in the cold that I didn't mention the kid hitting and kicking the dog while he was here. ><;

Though it's not a total loss. The guy was just about to go off duty so he's passing it on to the next officer that comes on so someone will be back out at some point today and they are going to talk to the owners if they are home.

Elmira Swift 03-13-2009 05:47 PM

The hitting and kicking thing is even more upsetting to me. I knew someone who had a lab that was tied up in their yard. They would let it go days without food and water. Found out they were actually trying to kill it because they found him to be a nuisance.

Psychotic Cricket 03-13-2009 05:56 PM

Well I know I'll mention it to the next police officer. I already told animal control about it, just I forgot to mention it to the police officer. I feel really retarded about that. But he was about to choke himself on the chain trying to get loose so that was the main concern at the moment. They had me give him a bowl of water which is funny. He drank it all and now he's playing with the bowl. It's going to have teeth marks so I assume that will be Timbers bowl from now on.

Elmira Swift 03-13-2009 06:05 PM

At least someone is looking out for him.

Psychotic Cricket 03-13-2009 06:07 PM

I'm glad he's entertained with the destruction of the bowl I put out for him. Not that I care to much about the bowl.

EDIT: Gah the new police officer needs to hurry up.. someones home and so they could talk to them!

Elmira Swift 03-13-2009 09:00 PM

Has the police officer shown up yet? We're finally back from errands and I located my old resume on Mark's computer. I can now get to work tweaking it for my class. It has all the dates for my employment history.

Psychotic Cricket 03-13-2009 09:23 PM

No I'm expecting it to be more around dinner since the other office said the night patrol. I'm expecting it was so that both the owners would be home. Which they are now.

Elmira Swift 03-13-2009 09:39 PM

That's good then, don't you think? When the animal control people came out, didn't they speak with anyone there or bother to issue a citation?

Psychotic Cricket 03-13-2009 09:59 PM

They left a warning on the door since no one was home since they came in the morning. After animal control had been here Timber hadn't been out till today where he was outside all day again.

Elmira Swift 03-13-2009 10:29 PM

We have an outdoor cat - Stitch - who comes in to eat since we'll attract ants and other strays if we leave food out for him. We've had enough rain lately for him to have some water outside, but we're keeping an eye on all that since it's starting to get warmer. Point being, it doesn't take a lot of effort to feed pets. If you're going to have them, make sure you can handle it.

Ok. Popping off a bit to type the letters now.

Kierys 03-13-2009 11:03 PM

Alright, here I am. I'm tired, I smell slightly like litterboxes, and my feet are killing me, but there is delicious ice cream refreezing in the freezer, I get two whole days off to spend with my love, and Sam just wrote another song. So all in all, the day balances out with a slight surplus of happy due to the sun is shining. ^-^ How has everyone's day been?

Elmira Swift 03-13-2009 11:06 PM

Great! Sounds like your day has been wonderful as well.

Munching on Girl Scout cookies, finished my homework - now all I have is the mock interview - and we're going to MomoCon tomorrow and possibly Sunday!

What sort of music does Sam write?

Psychotic Cricket 03-13-2009 11:09 PM

Eww sunshine! *Hides in her handy dandy box while hissing*

Ok got that point done. I'm a bit cranky due to I don't know what the hell to eat and I can't leave for fast food since the officer hasn't shown up yet. ><;

I know what you mean about it not taking much to feed and water pets though. It's not that hard to fill a water dish.
Being mad at the neighbors while hungry probably isn't helping me being cranky.

Elmira Swift 03-13-2009 11:11 PM

Do you have any crackers to munch on?

Kierys 03-13-2009 11:14 PM

Mmmm, Girl Scout cookies. I want some Thin Mints, but they haven't been around. I think we might have missed them, actually. >.< I would be so sad. I was just over my coworker's place. She's out of town for a couple days, so I'm feeding and watering her kitty. Just spent a good half hour trying to dig all the clumps of smelly kitty stuff out of the kitty litter. I don't think she cleaned the box before she went. Or her cat just pees that much. O.O But she's a pretty calico cat, so it's okay. Her adorable meow is enough to make all that smelly cleaning worth. Such a pretty kitty. I wish I wasn't allergic.

Psychotic Cricket 03-13-2009 11:21 PM

Nope I have none of my wheat free crackers. I'd have to bake those myself. I have no idea what the heck I want.

Elmira Swift 03-13-2009 11:22 PM

I don't envy you. Cat boxes are never fun to deal with! And you're allergic, too??

Some troops will set up stands at local stores. Our troop has been to Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree, and Wal-mart. Some grocery stores usually let troops set up tables. If you have an active troop, you should see them out nearly every weekend through this month. We have to stop selling in a few weeks, so we're a bit frantic with sales now!

I'm in the same position right now. We're probably going to have cornbread and beans - maybe some greens as well. We've been overdoing meat, so we're trying to cut back. Yet, none of what I've mentioned sounds tasty to me now. Since you have dietary restrictions, I'm not sure what all to suggest.

Kierys 03-13-2009 11:32 PM

Me neither, sorry Kat. I wish I could help.

Elmira- Yeah, I'll have to see if I can find any of them tomorrow. I honestly don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to participate in this game. My work schedule is honestly not kind to me in regards to this game, since everyone gets online in the evening it seems, when I am either working or sleeping. I'm not sure if I should send in my resignation or try to stick it out and see if I might get killed before work kills it for me. Or I might actually last the round. I dunno. What do you think?

Elmira Swift 03-13-2009 11:53 PM

I'm usually on during the day - I'm on US EST - and can log on at night. I think that if you can manage ten posts and then search to see if your victim has uttered the word, then you should be okay.

I know it's difficult to find someone posting in here regularly 24/7. Cricket suggested that if we see someone in the Cult thread, we could ask them to post here for a few so we can keep our post counts up - since we all talk in there anyway. Plus, it doesn't matter if that other person or people are participating in this round, as long as we all get our post counts in. Make sense? Now, I'll be heading out to MomoCon tomorrow, hopefully in the morning. No clue what time. I hope to post as much as possible before I leave or when I get home.

Kierys 03-14-2009 12:04 AM

Yeah, I'm going to be doing stuff with my husband tomorrow since we have two days off together in a row, which never happens. So I'll try to make post count for those days, but if I feel I won't be able to make it, I will probably end up sending in my resignation. I didn't think I'd be joining another round but I figured I'd give it one last shot. This will probably be my last round until things settle down, or at least until it gets busy enough in here that I can actually make post count before I go to work.

Elmira Swift 03-14-2009 12:09 AM

Couple time is important! I keep forgetting which time zone you're in. Maybe we can coordinate something before you head off to work? I already know that when I head back to the cosmetology program next month, I'll be gone from 7AM-3PM from Monday through Thursday. Beginning in June, I'll start working as a part-time assistant at a friend's salon, so I'll be gone most of the day.

Kierys 03-14-2009 12:24 AM

I'm Central time, like Cricket. And my schedule is never reliable. I work all manner of shifts, except for third shift. So I never have a set time every day when I can come on. I usually just get on before and after work, if I can. On some days though, I just can't, like last night. >.< Oh, I never, NEVER want to hear Missy complain about stuff not getting done, or I swear, I'll take her head clean off.

Elmira Swift 03-14-2009 12:44 AM

I understand that you have some constraints. Is that someone you work with?

Going to go check to see what time the convention starts tomorrow. I'm usually up fairly early.

Kierys 03-14-2009 12:48 AM

Yeah, Missy is one of the people who was in Foods yesterday that left me a huge freaking pile of dishes to do. She was supposed to do them before she left at noon, when I got in. And she didn't. So I had to clean those and then one of our ovens just decided to break on us and the other one broke at the end of my shift. And it was just a big, huge night of epic FAIL. This morning was not a whole lot of fun, but at least it wasn't as terrible as last night.

Elmira Swift 03-14-2009 12:52 AM

That's awful! It sounds as though you need a break for sure this weekend. I've worked with people like that, and it's not a joy at all.
