We seek out fresh meat, new players are highly welcomed. Only requirement you have to preserve to join is your kind manners, and semi-literate writing skills. We of course, encourage more than 3 lines of posts. Please read first page completely to attempt a leap on the ride! "Greetings traveller, welcome to Valkeseiren!! "This is the land where your fantasies may become true. Perhaps not all, but be sure to pursue your dreams, since it might be granted by none other but the beautiful maiden of Grallier spring..." Those would be the first words you'd hear from a storyteller you encounter. Valkeseiren is a kingdom built in a low valley, surrounded by great waterfalls. Historians say it was buried with earthquakes centuries ago. Many travellers find a reason to stopby in great city once in their lifetime. Some stay longer and some don't, while some choose to live in this city of wonders. People of many races would gather here often, since Valkeseiren is also a big city know for great bazaars and festivals it hosts. Traders consider this brilliant city a jewel hidden beneath waterfalls, of course, since it's glass works are quite famous it's an obvious fact. At nights and under daylight, Valkeseiren would shine like it's made of crystal... Towers, greenhouses, street lamps and stained glassed windows of houses would shine like hidden treasures. A new festival is coming, "Grallier's Maiden". It's a festival where several people travel to take a glimpse of the famous legend. With beautiful flowers and colorful ribbons streets would be decorated, gypsies and local musicians would play day and night for a week. And celebrate birth of Grallier spring maiden's birth; Sophie's so-believed birth. Story goes way back to centuries, where spirits of nature were still walking on earth. Great forest's mother spirit pleaded gods for a child, oneshe could never bear in her immortal life. Goddess of life, Sierra pitied and granted her one wish. So Sophie was born from spring of Grallier, as mother spirit called her. Her beauty was legendary, it's said that with her one glance the most furious beasts would fall on their knees in tears, begging for forgiveness from gods. Her innocence would make forest spirits hide, her voice would make river spirits cry with joy. Also, it's said that, spirit of Sophia was called back to heavens by goddess Sierra. But she'd grant any wish asked with strong faith, with pure ambitions coming from one's heart. Since centuries many would come to join this festival of peace and love, ask and plea to glass statue of the Grallier's maiden... There we start our journey friends... Grim clouds are gathering over Valkeseiren, perhaps eternal peace granted to these mortal lands are coming to an end? We seek for brave adventurers who are willing to serve for the greater good, show your courage to whole world! ~Races~ There are certain races in this story. In here their limitations and variations will be explained. Elves: Apperantly most of them live in forests and they're known as wood elves. But some of them also live in sea, mountains and even in deserts. Those elves are named after the places they're living in. Wood Elves- Living in forests; fair hair, blue/green eyes, fair skin. Sea Elves- Living in seaside or in cities built on islands. Tanned skin, white/blue/sea green hair, blue/green eyes. Mountain Elves- Living in mountains; ivory/fair skin, brunette/fair hair, dark/blue/grey eyes. Sun Elves- Living in deserts; tanned skin, fair/brunette hair, dark eyes. Note: Think of sun and mountain elves as dark elves. Both have similar hierarchy built; a.k.a. females rule. Though sun elves are more negotiable compared to mountain eves, who're quite troublesome sometimes. Humans: I don't need to explain much about them, but they also differ depending on where they live. North Humans- Our blonde westerners... Need explanation? South Humans- May we all say people of africa and brazil are good examples to summarise this? East Humans- Your typical asian. Halfelves: Usually not totally accepted by elves nor humans, they live together as nomadic tribes. That doesn't mean they're abondoned, they're free spirits and this is totally their choice. Supernaturals: We didn't forget our fancy friends... Halfblood Vampires- Fangs, ivory skin... You know the looks, one expection is that vampires can endure sunlight for an hour at most. Meanwhile their skin starts itching and slowly sunburns begin to appear. Soon their skin will start burning fruiously and after the first hour they'll begin burning. Pureblood Vampires- Same fancy looks, except they're not harmed by sunlight, they get blinded by it after an hour though. It'll take a few minutes for them to see again, sun simply hurt their eyes only. [[I'll only allow 2 purebloods... so, ask me]] Demons- They can go as your imagination allows it. Tails, horns and even some beastal looks are ok. Wings are welcome too. But basicly they're not gods, so their limitations are similar to any other races on magical field. They serve to chaotic gods, a demon may choose to act on their own, not serving a god but their powers will be reduced. Angels- Wings are welcome with this race too. Except they're messengers of gods and goddesses, they reside in heaven as well. And they aren't fond of demons. Fallen Angels-Some may choose to live among humans. Some choose to fall, which means they're not refused by gods but choosed to live like a human, abondoning their powers. They refuse their duties for gods, so in exchange their powers are limited when they choose to fall. A fallen angel can commit sins, do whatever they please, even become a villain! But they can't become demons, not in this setting anyway. An angel will be definitely more powerful compared to a fallen. Arch Demons/Angels- Well, self explanatory. [[I'll allow 2 characters only from each of them.]] ~Combat Professions~ They're simply jobs or titles. The way you make money, the way you live. Feel free to choose one from any available, hybrid builds are ok. Please don't over do. Overdone Example: Mage/fighter/rogue/shaman/archer/paladintactic maiden!!! Necromancer- Dark magic some say, it's simply a different level of magic. A must to revive dead, but this class has more tricks than animating dead bones. Enchanter- This class specialise in nature of magic more than elemental level. Focusing on purest magic and the ways to weild it at your will should be your objective. Binding, conjuction as just basic steps in this field. Summoner- Specialized in summoning spirits and elementals. The point is, things you summon would highly depend on your level, in short if you're a apprentice you could summon a familiar but not a fire elemental. Shaman- Like summoner they call spirits, but unlike them they can unite with spirits and use their talents, or even summon them for advice. Also, they can seperate their soul from their body and wander around along with other spirits mortal eyes can't see. Priest/Priestess- They devote themselves to gods, so, choose a god and start your prayers! You'd be granted with holy powers such as healing and curing illness/status effects. Be the victim be an evil villain or an angel, priests don't discriminate usually.[Gods are listed below the post] Exorsists- Exorsists are the ones who prefer taking action rather than reasoning. Chaotic gods reward them with ultimate knowledge on using their spiritual power with destruction. They have certain aspects on "good" and "evil", if you fall in evil scale of the balance you'd definitely become a target.[Gods are listed below the post] Scholar- Here we bury you under a pile of books and you become happy! Science would be your passion, so inventions and using your chemistry knowledge to be able to do alchemy. Remember though, you're not god. Paladin- A knight who devoted themselves to holy gods. They know basic healing spells and holy charms. Under any condition they'll choose to keep a honorable life. Knight- A knight who devoted himself to a lord, landlord... you name it. They're always bound to a king or a lord. Honor is above everything else in their life, try not to insult them while they're armed. Gladiator/Mercenary- Ones who choose to be their own master choose to wield their blade for the highest price. Barbarians also go in this profession. Assassin- Kills in stealth and haste for money, you've to learn darkest arts of killing to be a master assassin. Rogue- Bandits, thieves gather under here. You're not as lethal and sinister as an assasin but still quite a dangerous tricksmaster. Bard- Here are our cheerful folks, a bard has charm very few can achieve in a lifetime. Expect a song or a tale from them, also they always have a last card hidden up in their sleeves for the troubled times. Ranger- Rangers are one with forests, wild nature is their homeland. Animals can be tamed more easily in their hands. No need to mention frightenning fast archery skills they posses. Druid- Like Shamans they can call spirits of nature, except they're usually animal related ones. They can enchant animals and tame them at instant. A whole forest can turn against you with a powerful druid's command, beware. Quote:

~Final Words~ Here are the last few words I'd like to share. Maiden of Grallier turned out to be a complicated setting, yet story holds many oppurtunities. Please play fair, allow other characters to play their turns, write a few words. It'll be a fun journey, keep your wallets close to yourselves and beware of predators in wild lands. They tend to like fresh meat quite often. And HAVE FUN!! |
[[And so, we begin!!!]] It was a nice, late-summer morning. A soft breeze was leaving a sweet scent of flowers main road was decorated with. Merchants were already openning their stands, goods from all around the world were brought feet of citizens and worldwide visitors. Around town square exotic scents of tropical fruits, dishes, unknown tastes were surrounding the marble statue of the famous 'Maiden of Grallier'. A woman at her early twenties, with long wavy hair making soft curves down to her knees, a clothing was wrapped around her body as she raised her hands to sky, calling for divine beings. Inviting curious stomachs and eyes, as further on you approach more mysteries brought from foreign lands were displayed. Perhaps some were true and some were not, but charms and unknown nature of fantasies always attract attention... A high platform was built on left side of the road from town square to the palace, nobles from other lands were already taking their places on the platform to watch parade that would declare begining of the summer festival, which pinpoint the end of summer and begining of cooler and more relaxed harvesting season. |
A short woman gracefully wove her way past the crowds of people, a bundle of food in her arms. She was late, very late, and her boss didn't like it when she was late. 'What are these stupid humans gathered around for?' The woman thought angrily as she dodged another loving couple from bumping into her. She finally got past most of the people and slowed down to a walk. She headed towards the large statue of the Maiden to look for the last ingredient needed for tonight's dish. Why she had to find this stuff was beyond her.
She finally got to a stand looked over by a beautiful woman. The purple-haired girl looked at her array of items until one brightly colored fruit caught her eye. "How much is that?" She asked, pointing to her choice. |
A dark, cursed wood grew on the peak of a mountain, a mountain which happened to be right int the middle of an island. A small meadow lay on the peak of this mountain, Imposing trees encircled it, their canopies too thick to let in even a single ray of sunlight, but apparently the flowers in the meadow were completely unaware of their surroundings. They drank in the midday sunlight happily, and were gently waving in the breeze blowing off the ocean. Suddenly a boy materialized out of the shadows and stepped into the meadow. The sun shone on his white hair and glinted eerily off his pale skin. He surveyed his surroundings with an indifferent, yet completely absorbed look, like a child trying to hide how excited he is. He wore no shirt or shoes but his pants were black leather, something you'd only see only on the most evil knight, or a very rich and eccentric noble. The boy grabbed a low branch and swung himself up onto it, then effortlessly jumped and climbed his way to the top. After a quick look around the boy spotted the mainland the the north. He smiled eagerly as a pair of pink bat wings suddenly sprouted from his back, and after a few seconds he launched himself into the air and began to fly towards his chosen destination.

Joaquin parted the flap of his tent to glance out at the preparations for the parade, glad once more that it faced due north for the sun would not shine directly into the tent at any time of day.
He sighed, letting the flap fall shut as he turned away, once more plunging the tent into the pleasant dim lighting from the many candles in tinted glass lamps around the small space. People were merrily bustling around the city square setting things up for the event later. The signs he had foreseen had yet to come to pass. It seemed another dull day of waiting was in order. Wandering past the partitioning curtain into the area where he slept occasionally, Joaquin began setting up for the day. Choosing two divination decks of the thirteen he had, he brought them out with his bag of rune stones and his crystal ball to arrange them on the small circular table covered in red and gold silk in the main area of the tent. Then he brought out a deep ceramic bowl and emptied a small bag of cinnamon twigs into it. Striking a match, he set the twigs on fire and watched as the fire grew. The fine twigs crackled and burned, their scented smoke permeating the air, and he inhaled deeply despite not needing to breathe before crushing and adding a handful of sage to the fire. He sat down in one of the two chairs at the table, letting the smoke cleanse the air as the herbs burned out. Finally, the vampire rose, took the bowl of ashes into the back area and set it down in an inobstrusive corner. He sighed once more, bored and out of things to do. As an afterthought, he returned to his seat at the table and began gazing into his crystal ball with great concentration. It wasn't long before a satisfied smile passed his lips for the first time that day. "It seems I shall have some interesting visitors today..." he murmured in his silken baritone as he turned away from his vision. "I may be entertained yet." |
[[Yay ^^ <3 Ok, now I have to explain something about the begining of the RP. Not all characters need to meet each other until you recieve a certain invitation to gather in a specific please. So, enjoy yourselves and take your time :)]]
Servants were busy with tidying up grounds, making last arrangements. All this running and hurrying was soon going to come an end, there was almost half an hour for parade to start, thus summer festival as well. Nobles from foreign lands were paying their visit to Emperor of Ulhavalle, after brief exchanging of words, guestures and presents, all were leaving palace to take their place on the high platform built for them. Emperor himself was going to watch parade on the throne settled in middle of the platform, with a ceremony he would take his place among nobles. A lady from sun elves, not an ordinary noble from the desert race, Lady Kel'irana Lúthien had came to represent her people. Sun elves and Ulhavalle empire always held peaceful intentions to each other, if not with pure thoughts then for the sake of diplomacy. Lady Kel'irana was one of the eldest leader of the greatest clans of her people. She was an oracle people told as well, she could foretell future and that's how she could lead her clan to glory. She was wearing a gown, a pleasant shade of red silk, embodiered with gold threads. She wore thick gold bracelets on her both arms, her rich look was complete with the elegant tiara she wore on her forehead, the blood red ruby shone with every single source of light fell upon it. She had her white blonde hair tied into a neat ponytail, had caramel colored eyes, holding many mysteries of her long life. She was already hot gossip of the day, it had been quite while since sun elves joined festival with a lady of theirs. Lady Kel'irana walked silently to platform through castle grounds, aware of those infromations humans spoke of her. Just like her silent and tranquil nature, a group of tall sun elf knights were following her lead a step behind her obediently with a calm manner. One of them was walking almost next to her, closer than the others. That was the guardians' captain, Ginnrol Aeranion. He had noble features of a sun elf, like rest of the group. Somehow he had a different aura though, more casual, confident and perhaps more aware of his surroundings. One could definitely tell difference at first glance, he had respect of his comrades and fandom of his lady. As Lady stepped closerto platform, he hastened his pace and reached stairs leading up. With a short bow, he turned to his lady. "Excuse me, m'lady." Lady Kel'irana smiled as she nodded to knight, he climbed stairs ahead the woman. After a brief glance around, he stepped aside, bowed to sun elf lady as she climbed up as well. Lady gracefully stepped on platform built for them, she looked at view, it was quite impressive. City was seen a little more clearly from up here, it wasn't much but at least she could see almost all main streets, of course thanks to her elven sight she could see the least movement miles ahead. Sun elf lady smiled as she bowed briefly to another noble, young prince of Froncise, they had met on the way to Ulhavalle. As she walked to her seat, Ginnrol nodded to a knight downstairs. Young man climbed up stairs in lightspeed, after recieving a few low voiced orders he nodded with a confident smile. He walked to the other end of platform, smiling to a noble lady while passingby. Now, Ginnrol could take his place beside the lady, relieved a little inside. Elf woman smiled amusedly to her guardian knight. "Keeping your guard not down for once Ginnrol, are you afraid I would be assasinated here?" "May such ill fortune never fall upon you m'lady." Knight answered, eyes checking main square. "You shall never know dearest son." lady answered, sighing. "Like the next sunrise could not be told." ----------------------- On main square, crowd was getting thicker, everyone was excited of the parade whch should start anytime soon! A woman was walking in the crowd, wearing a light brown shawl over her shoulders and hooding her head. Her hair was running beneath the thick fabric though, making rivers of chocolate down to her waist. The green, blue dress she wore on was showing quite high tastes, but the trousers she wore was hinting of a traveller, and those boots from thick leather were hinting a warrior. Isis walked by a stand, where a purple haired girl was holding a trophical fruit. She briefly glanced over the stand and around, then walked by with no interest on what she saw. She had just started walking down to main street, when her feet brought her to the statue of the maiden. Isis looked up, her blue gaze fell upon the beautiful woman, the maiden legends were speaking of, festivals were named for her honor... She sighed, then glanced around her, crowd was moving around her, not noticing her presence. She seemed bored, pouting like a kid, finally she decided that goddess should reveal herself, so she did. Throwing the shawl from her shoulders, she twisted cloth and tied it around her curvy hips, beneath the belt. This dramatic change revealed a naked pair of shoulders, a dark blue strapped bustier wrapped around her waist and charming features of a heartbreaker, crowned with waves of chocolate falling down. Feeling attention around her started flowing to her way, a playful smile appeared on those crimson lips. "Ah, it was already time for that." |
The sun shone brightly on the busy Market Avenue, the main street of Valkeseiren that ran from one end of the city to the other through the city square. It was called Market Avenue because most of the shops, in particular the ones that were doing well, were all located along this street and all the travelling peddlers and merchants set up their quaint little stalls to sell their various and colourful wares here and in the square. The army was patrolling the street heavily today, no doubt maintaining public order and watching for any sign of threat to the many nobles attending the festival.
Erdaime walked down the street with the bundle of rosemary sprigs she had just bought in her arms and a bag of apples in her hand, blushing at the hollers and whistling from some of the men she passed. Maybe this dress really is too skimpy, she thought, looking down at the flowing light green layers of cloth. Her last patient, with whom she was currently staying, was a tailor. She had met the plump middle-aged lady sitting on a bench in the city square with the terrible backache the day she had arrived and treated her with some acupuncture and given her a bag of herbs that would help. When the lady heard that she was staying for the festival but had neither lodging plans nor a proper dress to wear to the event, she had decided to house her and give her this dress instead of paying her in gold for her services. The widow lived above her shop on a street just off Market Avenue, and for tonight, they would be stuffing and roasting some pigeons for the feast. The tradition of the festival held that all food offerings to the Maiden and Goddess would be presented to deity and saint for blessing before being shared among the people as the festival feast, after which the dancing and merrymaking would begin with free-flowing home-brewed beer and mead courtesy of the city's three main taverns, the Hall of Knights, Moonshine Pub and Tavern of the Maiden. Erdaime looked up at the statue of the Maiden as she passed it in the main square. The beautiful statue had been decorated with wreaths of colourful flowers for the event, and one could really feel the festive air about the city. She looked up to where the nobles would be sitting. Some of them had already taken their places, and among them were a lovely sun elf lady in red and her knight. Even to her well-travelled halfelven eyes, they looked exotic, having the darkest skin tone of elven kind. Just then, someone bumped into her and she fell to the ground with a loud cry, narrowly managing to save the apples by turning so that they struck her body instead of the stone. "Watch where you're going, girl!" a burly man with tanned skin and several scars on his face, whom she assumed was the one who had bumped into her, shouted. He had three friends with him, all equally menacing. "I... I wasn't even moving! I swear! I'm sorry!" she replied, frightened. "Oh..." The red-haired thug grinned a toothy grin as he looked her over; he was missing a few teeth. "It seems you're quite the looker. I can forgive a pretty thing like yourself...if you'll come keep me company." His friends laughed, and Erdaime winced. "I-I...need to be returning... My mother is waiting for these!" she lied desperately. "Oh? And is your mother the elf or the human?" "The...the h-human, sir..." "Feh, then I'm not interested. You come with me," he declared. "Var, carry her along now." "Yes, boss," his chestnut-haired companion affirmed, heading over to pick her up fireman style. "No!" she screamed. "Someone, please! Help me!" Just then, the black-haired friend hit her over the head. The world spun away, and the apples and herbs fell from her hand as Erdaime passed out. |
Hideous trio stopped when a seductive yet insulting voice called out, to them apperantly. They turned back to see a charming creature, looking more skilled on art of seduction than most of the women around.
"Hey, scary and not-handsome men!" Isis was walking up to them, smiling like she actually asked them to take her instead. "That's no way to treat a lady." "Oh really, you sound rude, but appealing to eye. Since it's the festival, we can take both of you." the scar face grinned widely. "So confident that you can take on me?" woman smiled, stretched her arms to up, she narrowed her eyes. "I'm not that easy you know, my standarts for my ideal partner are quite high. Not afraid you may not meet my expectations?" And as usual, three men laughed, and Isis was still smiling charmingly as two of them approached to her, scar face and the black haired one. It happened so fast, before anyone could react, woman bended over and landed a strong punch to the man. With a low swung kick she landed Mr.Scarface on ground, moaning. And before the other one could get his hands on her she rose up on her feet with an uppercut, leaving him falling on his knees as he held his chin. She turned around to look at third man, who was almost petrified, still holding girl's arm in mid air. "Leave her, pretty face." she said, with a dangerously charming, confident smile. "You son of a-.." Lady glanced at the guy, the one with scars all over his face whom she landed on ground shortly before. He was getting up, not losing time, she kicked him in the face. With same leg, she then Isis kicked on a soft spot between the legs. Leaving the leader lost in paint and whining like a big baby, she glanced over the tall man, who was crying with pain, apperantly his jaw was broken. Being satisfied, she walked to man holding girl on his shoulder, he quickly dropped poor girl and shielded himself behind her. Meanwhile taking out a knife he backed a little, he placed blade on girl's delicate neck. "Do-don't come any closer biatch!!" he shouted spreading saliva around. Expression on woman's face changed dramatically then, she wore an anxious face, looking behind the guy. "Ah, please help, they're trying to kidnap my sister?!!" she called out to guards, who seemed to appear just in time. "He's trying to kill her!" One guard glanced victim then Isis, he looked at his comrade who was already in stance of defense. "Sister?" "We don't look alike, right? People always say that." she said sheepishly, waving a hand to them. "But you'd help us, right?" "Release the girl so no harm will come to anyone!!" was the only warning from guards. "No... harm???" the moaning scar face exclaimed weakly, still not fully recovered yet. "My future... just ended!!Grrhh..." [[[XDDDD I had so much fun =D Didn't take much time to edit as I was afraid =P]]] |
Joaquin paced the small expanse of the tent, restless. There was some commotion outside the tent, but he didn't see any reason to get involved. After all, it was daylight now, and it wasn't worth the unpleasantness of being in the sun. He sighed, spreading his current favourite Tarot deck on the table and randomly drawing one.
The Tower. Change. The end of false beliefs and illusions. Plunging into the unknown. Loss of stability. The vision he had seen was soon at hand. When will the signs come, the skies darken and monsters rain upon the splitting earth? he wondered. The present century had been nothing but dull so far; one needs a change, some excitement, if one is to live forever. He sighed once more, gathering the cards and shuffling them before replacing them neatly on the table. Turning, he slipped into the back area to lie upon the thick carpet there. Perhaps he would nap to pass the time while waiting for a customer. |
[[Sorry guys, but I'm in mood and I'll be posting. We're taking things slow and having fun, seeking for fun, so don't feel left out when you see quite a few posts rolled after another. :)
I tend to write posts of doom and enjoy doing so ^^ accidently luen seems to like that as well(yay!! ) so I can't help it!!! XD]] "Ahem... let me get this straight, you... knocked those two on your own, miss?" Guards have already packed nuisances and they were heading their way to dungeons, to be judged later on. Now one of them was asking the concious victim(!) about the scene previously unfold. She had sat on a bench behind the bazaar stands, the unconcious girl was laying on bench next to Isis, her head resting on woman's laps. Isis smiled, her clear blue eyes were shining with a glimpse of mischevie. "I'm not a damsel in distress kind sir, I prefer being the knight for myself." Isis smiled confidently to guard. "If you don't mind I would like to take care of my sister now. Thank you for your help." "Thank you for your coorporation, and... hope your sister recovers soon." man nodded, with a short bow he turned around and joined leaving troops. Isis watched them leave, her hand gently caressing soft raven hair. She looked down to girl, wondering when she'll wake up. Then she remembered her possessions, she untied a small porch hung on her belt, beneath the dust colored shawl. Her hand fished in the small bag, even half of her hand should be barely getting in the small bag, with much ease her arm went down almost to her elbow. After a while, she took out a small bottle, smiled with shining eyes realising she found what she was looking for. Isis untapped small bottle and waved it to girl's nose. After a moment or two, smell alerted halfelf's senses and she frowned with a disturbed face. Seeing her "sister" was waking up, Isis smiled, tapping bottle as she put it back. "Good morning sunshine." she said sweetly. |
[[Hm... I'll stick with her usual personality for now. XD]]
Erdaime stirred as familiar scents assailed her senses. "Camphor, eucalyptus and clove," she recited from memory. The doctor who raised her often used to test her by blindfolding her and making her identify herbs by scent alone, so she had learned to recognize and remember the aroma of almost every herb by heart. Speaking of herbs... "My things!!" Erdaime sat up abruptly with a loud cry, eyes flying open as she suddenly realized that she wasn't holding anything anymore, inadvertently bumping her head into something. Or rather someone. Someone who now didn't look too pleased. "Um...I...I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that! Please forgive me!" the half-elf pleaded, immediately launching into a series of apologies. "I'm really, really sorry..." Suddenly, she paused, realizing that she must have had her head on the woman's lap. "Eh...um... Who are you, madame?" she finally thought to ask. |
Isis rubbed her forehead, chuckled nervously. The girl had a gift with clumpsiness, she looked at her, showing a wide charming smile.
"Your knight in shining armor." she answered, seeing confused expression of girl's blushed face, Isis chuckled. "Isis, Isis of Meadows, as some call me. I happened to witness those cavemen's manners and alerted guards, they're in a place far from our sight." she offered her hand for a handshake. "I'm afraid those are what guards could collect so far. Some of the herbs might be missing and a few apples..." she added, nodding to the bag of apples, which seemed to be in one piece, rosemaries were tucked in and on the apples. "You have a sharp nose, a herbalist I assume?" |
"Oh... Oh... Thank you so very much!" Erdaime bowed to her rescuer. "Yes, I'm a herbalist." She smiled sweetly. "I hope the apples aren't too bruised... Oh, um..." She began searching her clothes for something, producing a tiny ointment jar from amid the mass of folds several moments later. "Here, I made this ointment from matricaria, arnica and witch hazel. It should help with any bruising I might have caused." She removed the cover and dabbed some of the yellowish ointment on Isis' forehead and her own. "I always carry this around because I'm a bit of a klutz, you see," she continued with a nervous chuckle. "You must get muscle pains, headaches, dizziness or nausea quite a lot if you're carrying that oil mixture around with you at all times." A hand flew to her mouth in alarm. "Ah, oh my! I apologize. I'm babbling again. It's none of my business. I'm sorry... Here." She replaced the cover on the ointment jar and held it out to Isis. "Please take this as my thanks and apology. I can always make some more. I'm sure you'll find it useful," she finished, gathering whatever remained of the rosemary sprigs and apples with her other hand.

"Ah, that wasn't necessary." she said, touching her forehead, she couldn't feel ache at all. "And don't worry about it darling, if you live the life of a nomad then injuries are bound to happen. Once in a while at least..."
She accepted girl's gift, she wondered if the airhead could actually calm down at all. She looked in a hurry, not that she was in hurry really, it seemed like nature of the girl. Besides she looked tensed, Isis was a little curious of her. She seemed interesting, not enough for her to dig more into her though. It was a getting harder each day to find a person that would intrigue her senses and feelings, and it had been so long since Isis met such a person. She tossed bottle in her endless porch then tied it up. "Sorry sunshine, I couldn't catch your name." lady added with a charming smile. ---------------- Ginnrol's hazel eyes were fixated on the commotion took place on town square, which was not much far from platform. It was impressive to see a mere human female could fight equally; to be honest she was actually surpassing their strentgh, speed and skills. He could expect same endurance from a mountain elf, though this woman seemed perfectly human from head to toe. The unconcious girl though, was obviously a halfelf and a wood elf blood was in her as far as he could tell. After guards took charge, he watched until both human woman and halfelf girl disappeared from his sight. When he turned his gaze, he heard a silent chuckle next to him. Ginnrol looked at his lady instinctly, even though it was a muffled laughter, voice of his lady was distinguishable. "M'lady?" "It's just a delightful experience to see you behaving like an ordinary young man." "My... apologies m'lady, I'm lost in your words." Lady Kel'irana looked up to young knight, in his bronze armor, his hair shining beneath sunlight like liquid gold, piercing hazel eyes on his tanned skin; he looked dreamily for most people surely. She had often wondered why Ginnrol never showed interest on a woman or man at all. It was saddenning to see he has devoted his life to his duty. She gave a bitter smile to her knight, not sure if he was aware of these as well. "I had a brief feeling that, you did show interest in a lady. Were I wrong?" "If it wouldn't be bold, judging by what may I ask?" "A feeling... Or a foolish wish of mine, to be honest. Let it go, shall we?" lady said thoughfully, watching crowd beneath them. Ginnrol frowned, he didn't have slightest clue of what his lady meant at all! Was she suggesting that human woman? It was well known, alves didn't show interest on humans, there were expections of course but it was a well known fact. How could she think of it? "I had no such intentions m'lady, my place is next to you." he said in a low voice, still watching horizon. It was only a sight he got from the lady. Dancers were gathering behind castle gates, it was only depending on emperor's arrival, the begining of festival. |
Fia bargained the fruit with the lady until she was able to get it at a good price. 'The boss better pay me back for all of this.' She thought as she walked down the crowded street. She passed the many arrays of shops and stands until her eye caught a tent. 'Hm... I've never seen that before.' She thought before looking up into the sky. The sun showed that she had enough time to explore. 'I'm pretty bored, so I guess I'll check it out.' Fia thought and headed for the tent.
When she got there, Fia opened the flap and blinked. The room was dimly lit, but her angelic eyes could still see clearly in the dark room. "Uh... Hello?" She called out. |
[[Damn, I shouldn't have used one account for each character. Now I can't post for the other one until someone else posts again. So much for avoiding confusion. =3 You know what? Just switch both characters to this account, Valendra. XD"]]
Joaquin rose at the sound of approaching footsteps, pulling his hood over his head to conceal his features. It wasn't long before a young lady called, "Uh...Hello?" He stepped out from behind the curtain partition to greet the customer with a slight bow. "Welcome," he said softly in his velvety baritone as he took in the lady's appearance. She was a petite girl with short indigo hair and green eyes. And then he caught the scent of of her blood, and honestly said the first thing that came to mind. "You're neither human nor elf. Seeking answers in an endless lifetime?" he asked with mild amusement. ~*~*~*~*~*~ [[By the way, Erdaime was raised in Des'Lariel by a wood elf doctor, but her biological parents are mountain elf and east human. XD"]] "My name?" Erdaime blinked. "Oh yes. I never told you. Well, um... I don't know my real name, but the name my caretaker gave me is Erdaime, Erdaime Morganel," she answered with a smile, hand gripping her purchases a little more tightly. "I apologize if I seem to be in a hurry, but I really need to be bringing these back so we can prepare for the festival tonight." She rose to her feet. "Thank you very much for rescuing me! I can't imagine what would have happened had you not been there. I really need to try not to get into trouble so much! There's not much time left, so I really must be going. Once again, thank you so very, very much!!" She bowed politely before turning and hurrying off back to the tailor's house, narrowly avoiding tripping over her skirt on the way. "You're late, cherie. Hand those apples over, so I can start chopping them," the older woman greeted as Erdaime arrived at the top of the stairs from where the tailor had just finished chopping onions in the small kitchen. "I...I'm sorry," the half-elf replied, handing the fruits over. "I was at...harassed on the way back. Thankfully, a nice lady came to my rescue." "Tsk, you should be more careful, girlie. There are all kinds of bad people out there," the red-haired human said reproachfully, taking the bag from her. "I really try... I'll chop the rosemary and mix it with the orange blossom honey," she volunteered, quickly moving to help. "Oh, the nobility have already begun taking their seats. I saw the representative from the Sun Elves. They're such exotic people. She is very beautiful!" "You're one to talk about exotic looks. I don't suppose you've seen anyone looking quite like yourself?" "Uh..." Erdaime faltered. It was certainly true that she hadn't seen anyone that looked like her anywhere in Des'Lariel and Ulhavalle. "Well, I suppose you see why we must make haste with our preparations. Quickly now, let's get cooking!" |
Harren's flight to the mainland had only taken about 2 hours, a short flight for him, and upon landing he was immediately enthralled by the wondrous sights all around him. He no longer tried to reign in his enthusiasm and had dashed from stall to stall, looking at everything excitedly. Everything was so bright and new, the colors the fragrances the textures, so many things to experience and he had to fit all of it into 600 years. He hadn't noticed that he was dressed oddly until a clothing vendor offered him a thin grey shirt to cover himself with, for he was only wearing pants. As he pulled the shirt on he noticed a tent that advertised a tarot reader. Harren had heard stories of beings who possessed the power of foresight with the help of enchanted objects, and Tarot cards were the most common in these stories. The lure of confirming such tales for himself was too much to pass up. Harren began to slowly walk the few feet between him and the door to the tent, listening to the voices inside.
