::Pokemon!~ The Zono Region:: Accepting!~
Story After travelling through the Sinnoh region, Ash and friends stop in Pallet Town where Professor Oak has informed the group of a region completely. The Zono Region, however unlike other regions, no new Pokemon have yet been found here. This new region still shows potential to bring many surprises and adventures. After a trainer obtains all eight badges from this region, he or she is eligible to enter the tournament for the Zono Cup, also known as the Zono League which takes place in the Typhoon Islands. Trainers will battle against eachother and the battles will be judged by none other than the Elite Four. Gym leaders are also automatically admitted. At the end of this tournament, the top sixteen will each be eligible to face off against the Elite Four. Rules Please be at least semi-literate. Do not use asteriks (**) for actions, use quotatation marks for speech and italics for thought. I would like at least one paragraph per post. Aside from her Pokemon, she is also a fanatic when it comes to meteorology, and hopes to one day work in the field. Though she sees herself at decent, she isn't a big fan of Pokemon coordinating and often strays away from that particular field. She loves traveling and is also a hopeless romantic, constantly reading one romance novel or another and constantly daydreaming. The oldest out of eight children, most would expect that Faith didn't have much growing up. Of course, this was quite the opposite, as her family was able to provide plenty with her grandfather being the gym leader at the time. Extremely stubborn, once Faith finds something she wants, she goes for it regaudless of the cost. She seems to be a bitter person when first met, being extremely sarcastic and brutally honest. She tends to be quiet much of the time, however her temper is short and it doesn't take much to set her off. Hometown: Cinder Town Badges: All eight Johto badges as well as all eight Zono badges. Her party consists of mostly grass and bug Pokemon. Loving to travel, and being widely read, the girl enjoys leaving the gym as much as possible to take trips, though she enjoys battles as well. Generally, while travelling, she doesn't reveal her identity as a gym leader to those who don't know her. She has recently replaced the former gym leader of Emerald City. Username: Sun Character Name: Reed Skoda Age: 18 Info: Youngest daughter, and indeed child, of a prominent family, all well known across Kanto and Johto due to their exceptional pokemon training abilities, Reed needed to get away. Unable to reach her full potential under the eyes and shadows of her family, and others expectations, she felt the urge to travel to Zono, to see if she could make a name for herself, away from people who knew her families reputation. She was a sickly child, who spent most of her time, from the age of 5, living in the Orange Archipelago, calling Pummelo Island her home. Reed is openly friendly to all she meets, and exhibits a strong sense of fair play and reason. Despite that, she can when needed, call upon her inerrant devious nature, to aid her in sticky situations. Growing up, he was an only child and because of that he tends to be very independent and focuses more on training (and sometimes himself) than on interacting with others. When he does though he can be pretty nice, if you don't mind his occasional smoking of course. He does well under pressure and the more you put on him, the better he does. He started out like all other trainers, and wanted to join the elite four. But his dad wanted his twin brother and him to become the Victiro Town gym leaders. So Scott quit and moved to Victiro Town to become a gym leader. Later on he found a job as a teacher at school in town. Now Scott spends his time teaching and school work from 7:30am to 5 o'clock pm. Then at 5:30 to 9:30pm he battles challengers with his brother in a tag team battle. He does not have much time for friends and going out any more but does so over school breaks and weekends with family and friends occasionally. He also is the Student Council Adviser and teaches the Pokemon Training Class. Scott is over confident most of the time. He also is ver dedicated to his students. He likes to hang out with his friends and family and hold them dear to them. He also likes to play basketball and a few other sports,enjoys spending time with his Pokemon as well. Username:Shmougie Character Name: Mira Esplice Age: 16 Info: Mira is a quiet, jumpy and extremely nervous around people. It's not that she doesn't like people...they just frighten her so much! She turned out this way because of her abusive parents, who died when she was 10. She refused to speak or to go to anyone so they didn't know what to do with her. Eventually the gym leader of the city, Hao, brought her into his home. He also gave her her first pokemon(Abra...it mostly slept, and it was a good thing, since she had insomnia, it helped her sleep easier) she began to speak, slowly but surely beginning to trust the people around her. To conquer her fear she travelled through the Zono region with her pokemon, and the last gym leader she faced was Hao. Although she wasn't totally over her fear he said she had grown into her own and gave her the gym. She also enjoys to write. Username: Shmougie Character Name: Hao Desante Age: 29 Info: Hao was originally from the kanto region. After travelling throughout the region along with Johto and Hoenn, he went to Zono and decided to settle down there. It was weird, like all of a sudden his urge to wander(Something he was well known for) was gone once he hit Eclipse City. Maybe it was the fact that after battling the former gym leader of eclipse city (Wyatt, who was 87) and beating him, the poor old man dropped dead. (quite literally, he was laughing off the defeat when he collapsed) and so he took up his duties, finally content with where he was. But still he felt like something was missing. A few years later he took in a young girl who was orphaned in the city. Although she didn't speak and flat out refused him on many occasion he took care of her. He hardly spoke, even to people he liked so they got along well in silence for the most part. He felt that she was the thing he was missing, or the thing he was there waiting for. Eventually his flower bud bloomed into a rose and began to speak. Mira left town just like he had once when he was little, it reminded him of when he first started his journey and once again his wanderlust kicked in. He is currently waiting for Mira to come back and when he does, she will take over the gym and he will go back to his journeying. She's calm, calulating, cool, and indifferant when battleing. Both her mom and dad where champions at a time. Her mom became a breeder and her dad a gym leader. She's also very impatient, but she can't really control that very well, at least not yet. Although she is currently the Cinder Town Gym Leader, she itches to continue traveling, because she would love to earn the rest of the Zono Badges. She is a very kind person, though, and she absolutely loves her Pokemon, but her favorites are her Eevee and her Eeveelutions. She almost never confines the Pokemon with her in their Poke Balls, even if she's traveling. If she's traveling by foot, she is practically always surrounded by her Eeveelution team. But don't let the shyness fool you. He is one of the best trainers in both single and tag team. He is overconfident but nevers underestimates his opponent. Emerald City: Start This is the place where new trainers are able to obtain their first Pokemon. Trainers may start with: Bulbasaur Turtwig Chikorita Charmander Cyndaquil Chimchar Squirtle Totodile Piplup Trainers also may obtain the Emerald Badge here and the city is well known for the mines on the outskirts of town. The Gym is currently closed as the leader is traveling. Victiro Town: This town is one of the most isolated places in the Zono Region. Twins are the Gym Leaders of this town. Trainers recieve the Victory Badge here. Cinder Town: This town is a haven for Fire-Type Pokemon. Trainers receive the Flame Badge here. Winya town- Here is a peaceful place, Winya Town. Pokemon coordinators often meet here to compete in contests and her compare strategies and such. The Curi Badge is obtained here. Teller City This is anything except a quiet little town. Known as the city that never sleeps, a party is always occuring somewhere in Teller City. The Tear Badge is obtained here. Eclipse City A city that lives off the tourist industry like many others, some of the most beautiful sunsets in the region can be witnessed here. The area is also known for the generally cloudless skies at night. The Lunar Badge is obtained here. Quinter Town Styled after a town in the Old West, Quinter Town is the place to obtain the Rest Badge. The hot springs found in town are rumored to rival those in Lavaridge Town. Cherry Blossom City The home for Pokemon breeders, as well as trainers, the inhabitants of Cherry Blossom City clearly adore Pokemon. This town has four gym leaders, all siblings and the family also runs a business. The gym is home to a Pokemon Care Center as well as a store where the family sells their own herbal medicines and other products. A class is also available for those any trainers interested in breeding, and there is also a class for battling. Typhoon Islands As well as a popular resort, featuring its own amusement park, this is the home of the Zono League where the Elite Four resides. |
Soquira Valisari~
As the dark hair girl sat on the lawn of the Pokemon Gym she looked anxious. Twirling a strand of hair in her fingers, she looked around and a small sigh escaped her lips. Her emerald green eyes strayed towards the sky momentarily before she allowed herself to glance around once more. Standing up, she brushed dust off herself and began walking away from the gym, towards the Pokemon Center. Traffic had been slow in Cherry Blossom City as of late, or so it seemed to her at least. There hadn't been much to do lately and that fact bothered Soquira greatly. Well hopefully there would be somebody at the center - a new face preferably. Glancing behind her, she smiled slightly as she noted the Pokemon following her. Raichu, one of her favorites, had been her first and followed her everywhere. Unless she was traveling, or going into town, the girl preferred not to keep her team of Pokemon in their balls. So for the most part, the Pokemon would be scattered along inside the gym, somwhere or another. Scratching the electric Pokemon's ears she looked around and her smile faltered for a moment. The early morning air was a little too warm for her liking. Especially for December, she had been hoping for wintry weather. Entering the Pokemon Center, she took a seat at a table and looked around once more, waiting as patiently -which wasn't very patiently- for someone to come in. |
Zenfoid walked out of the Pokecenter and started twords the gym. He saw a girl with beautiful emerald eyes walk away from the gym. "um exscuse me is the gym open?" he asked aporching the girl.

[I'm fine with it as long as its not every word.] Soquira looked at the newcomer and nodded, "The gym is open, but at the moment not all the leaders are there." She paused before adding. "Is there anything I can help you out with?" Looking around she said nothing more before glancing at Raichu. Turning her gaze back to him, she waited for his reply. |

"Well i want to see how well I can use my pokemon in battle I am a little rusty would you mind battling me?" asked Zenfoid looking at the pokemon she was walking with and back at her "My name is Zenfoid, sorry I am a little out of it today, and you would be?" he said holding out his hand |
Soquira smiled slightly and shook his hand briefly. "I'm Soquira," she surveyed him for a moment before continuing, "I'm one of the gym leaders here, and you know, a battle could actually be fun." Starting to walk towards the gym, she looked over at him, "I think that one on one is fair, unless you'd like to make it an official challenge?" Running a hand through her hair, she stopped to look at him for a moment before continuing on. It was rare that she actually handled any of the official gym battles, preferring to run the store and classes. But it was up to him after all. |
"a one on one sounds good i want to just get back into the flow of battle befor i really try to take a leader on" said Zenfoid with a smile and started to walk beside Soquira "so how long have you been a gym leader?"

"Well my family actually owns the gym, so if you want to be technical about it, I was raised to be one." Running a hand through her hair Soquira added, "Granted my siblings do more of the actual battling, I've actually been one since I was fourteen, so two years now." As they reached the gym, she held the door open for him before entering herself. "Now, I'm afraid we do go a little all out when it comes to decor, so you have you choice as to where we can battle. We can either battle in here or outside, your choice." |
"um i rather battle outside i like the breeze if you don't mind" said Zenfoid not taking a step to the open door. she is kinda cute and she is only a few years younger then me mabey i should never miond Zenfoid stood there waiting for Soquira to close the door

"All right, that's fine with me!" She said brightly, shutting the door and taking a few steps outside she smiled as she glanced in her purse where she reached for a pokeball. "Come on out Vulpix," Letting the pokemon out of its ball, she looked up at Zenfoid, "You ready?" |
"I hope so" said Zenfoid taking a pokeball off his belt "Ditto" he said tossing the pokeball into the air and then his pokemon came out. "lets get this thing started, transform Ditto." Ditto who had been staring at the sky looked and saw the vulpix standing there and morphed its self into the pokemon.

Soquira frowned slightly as she watched the pokemon transform. Ditto, huh? That was certainly an interesting choice. "Vulpix, use quick attack, now." The Pokemon obeyed and hurtled itself towards its double. |
The body of the young woman rose and fell, rhythmically in time with her pokemons trotting. The rapidash was taking his time, like his trainer, taking in all of the sites.
This city was so full of things with which to listen, watch and smell. Reed knew though, that there was another sense coming into play here. Feeling. She could feel the atmosphere her herself. It spoke of a friendly city. She felt glad, that her beloved companion was looking up at last. He hadn't felt this at home somewhere since they'd left. "Hey...That looks like the gym over there." The pokemon raised his head, and sniffed at the air, before blowing out a short wave of fire. Reed grinned. "Calm down. Come on, we'll check it out shall we?" She slightly adjusted the woven rope article, that acted as a simple set of reins, and settled into a firmer position, as they broke into a light canter, in the direction of the gym. Pulling to a halt outside, the rapidash clicked his hooves on the lightly dusty pathway. It would appear, that there was already some manner of battle going on. She sat, head tilted, as she watched a girl about her own age, send forth a Vulpix. One was very soon two, and both she and her steed, settled in to watch the fight. |
Entering Cherry Blossom City, Athena was silent as she surveyed the surrounding area. She had only been there once before, when she was five or six, and the place seemed so much busier than she personally remembered. Deciding to head towards the gym, she headed down the path and continued to watch her surroundings. Granted, she knew she should be back in Emerald City, there had been few travelers as of late, so she had found it to be the perfect opportunity to take the time to travel around. Brushing a strand of hair, out of her eyes she smiled as the gym came into view. It certainly wouldn't hurt to stop and see what was going on there. She continued down the path, and stopped when she was next to an older girl and her Pokemon. "Well, it seems they're busy, already." She stated brightly. |
Ditto was hit hard with the Vulpix's attack Making it stagger a little in its new body "Fire Spin Ditto" Zenfoid called as fire shout out of his pokemons mouth causing a cirul of fire to sourond the two pokemon. "Tackle" he called out as Ditto hurled it's self at the other Vulpix

Soquira grimaced as Vulpix took the hit harder than she had expected. She watched as the small Pokemon stand up once more and she called out, "All right, Vulpix use flamethrower then tackle!" |
"Ditto, Dodge it" called out Zenfoid As the fire shot at his pokemon. Ditto jumped out of the way and the fire missed it my a few inches it was then hit with a head on collision with the Vulpix causing them to both stagger "Ditto are you okay?"

"Hmm?" Reeds attention was brought back to her side, and she smiled down at the youngster who had joined her. "Oh yes, although, i think it's only just getting under way." As her words dried up, she slipped gently from the back of the pokemon, who turned his head, and snuffled at the girl. Reed gave him an affectionate pat. "Dash say's hello. I'm Reed by the way." She said, turning back to the battling pair.

"All right, Vulpix, come on back." Soquira called as she returned the Pokemon to its ball. "I think thats good for now," She said as she returned the ball to her bag. "I don't think you'd want to tire the Pokemon out too much now, would you?" "Athena." Making her way towards the two who had been battling she glanced back at Reed, "It's very nice to meet you by the way. And your Rapidash is really pretty." [Have I mentioned I hate writer's block?] |
((x3 Hope I'm allowed to post..)) Misty sat at the edge of her gym's pool, a cloth in her right hand slowing scrubbing the grout out of the cracks in the floor. She sat up with her calfs under her thighs, wiping her forehead with her arm. "I should leave the gym..It's getting pretty boring around here. Besides, new Pokemon would be great!" She thought, standing up. The shorts she wore made her seem quite tall, and her bright orange hair was tied on the side of her head in a child-like fashion. "Starmie, Seal!" She called out to what seemed to be an empty pool. Not long after, the two Pokemon she had called, a star-shaped one and a seal-looking one popped their heads out of the water. "We're going to catch some more Pokemon, return!" She held out two Pokeballs, capturing the two and returning the balls to her belt. Walking over to the door of her gym, she quickly wrote a note for her sisters to take care of things, picked up her backpack, and walked out. |
A brown haired man stood outside of Cherry Blossom City, leaning against a building and taking a small drag from his cigarette. He was rather bored on the Typhoon Islands and figured that he would fly down to the mainland. Walking into the city, he could see a few stray trainers and breeders, and going past them he headed towards the gym, trying to see if he could find an exciting battle. He stopped when he saw a gym leader and another trainer battling.

Reed smiled, and nodded again, as Athena announced herself. "Thank you..." She said, at the girls compliment of her pokemon. And turning half to the Rapidash herself, she said in a quiet tone, "Although i shouldn't tell you that. Only serves to inflate you ego eh?"
