Dang I've been busy with so many things!
I have to go to the library soon, ok so it's still called 'Blood and Chocolate' right? SOrry for reasking |
I read the book a while ago and liked it well enough, though it's not my cup of tea as far as fiction goes. I'm not seeing the movie as I see very few movies based off of books and am mostly disappointed by them.
Edit: Yes, the book is also called Blood and Chocolate. |
Ok thanks
I have to make time to get the book I have no money so I can't buy it I don't often buy books though so it doesn't really matter Ok got to remember -writes a note- lol |
I liked the book a lot, so i decided to watch the movie, and I guess I liked it. The plot was a lot different. Basically the only thing that was the same was that Vivian's an artist and they're werewolves. I view the book and the movie as separate things since they're really different.
The girl who played Vivian did a good job though, i thought. |
I had to do that with the movie Posideon (bad spelling, so tired) it's a remake at least has the same idea as a movie before it with a different cats and such but I viewed it as just a movie and not a remake and actually really liked it.
I've been snowed in here so maybe I'll watch the movie tonight ^_^ |
Yea, the book was way better than the movie. It didn't follow the storyline at all and they tried to make it into some.. cheap horror film, imo.
|
I've never read the book but my friends... friend watched it twice during our Christmas party and it didn't look very good to me. I wasn't very impressed with the story. It seemed kinda cheesy and way too fast paced.

I wanted to know what this was about too. The trailers looked really interesting but I wasn't sure the movie would be. But if its some cheap horror film like LoversEnd says then I doubt I could like it.
I do want to read the book sometime though. |
Sucktastic
Actually the movie and the book are completely different. They are set in completely different continents. The book is in America and the movie is in Romania. On top of that, they killed Esme right off the bat. She was fairly important to the plot if I remember. All the characters are related to her in different ways then than the book. One thing that really made me mad though was the change. One of the things I loved about the book was how realistic she made the change from human to wolf sound. She spent all that time detailing it out and the in the movie they just jump into a ball of light and come out a wolf. It's a disgrace. I saw next to nothing similar to the book. Even how Aiden gave Vivian the pendant was different. It was meant to be romantic and ironic, but they just threw it together. The whole plot of the story was twisted in the movie. Most of the really meaningful events in the book were taken out and replaced with something else. It's enough to make your head spin. >.< |
The book is fantastic, one of my favorite werewolf novels up to this point.
However... if you bother watching the movie let me suggest that you approach it and the movie as two separate entities. The movie changes pretty much everything other than the names of characters and the idea of the "forbidden love" that's used so often in media. If you read the book first and expect that plot for the film you'll be majorly disappointed (kind of like I was). |
