I kind of know that feeling - last time I moved I ordered mobile internet within the first week just so I'd never have to go without internet again. And a good thing that was, it took my landline provider 4(!) months to get my connection ready. :(

Ah well, that's what you get for being too late - but I'd only had a Paradi set and what little money is left to offer, anyway.

I'm really bad at playing the games (though I rather enjoy the Chopper Challenge), I manage to always stay well below the limit. But I'm still content with my "income", I think it's actually rather easy earning money here on Mene thanks to the dependency on post length. I'm so terribly talkative my posts tend to always be on the long side, and this is the first site on which this is actually not a drawback... ;)

That's one of the reasons I never even wanted to join Gaia - one of my closest friends is there, and she's always talking about how the community itself is absolutely terrible, what with all those 1-word-replies. Definitely not a place for me to be! *ugh*

And I totally agree - Menewsha seems to have a very healthy economy, and it would be a shame if this was ruined with a sudden influx of money. Though I guess a huge part of why it's so healthy might also be thanks to people being really nice and fair around here. I've seen online games where 99% of all users where just trying to cheat you out of your money.

I can only imagine the culture shock (the positive kind of in this case) when switching to Menewsha. I've seen a lot of "decrease in average literacy and IQ" in other communities, but luckily never to this extend where one-word-replies are actually considered pretty standard.

Oh, I really have a feeling things will go a bit differently with Menewsha. I just don't think the staff (and all the current members) will any time soon provide fertile soil for that kind of "n00bs". At least I hope so, after only a couple of days I've already grown addicted to this community. ;)

Fairly new, I joined - let's see - sixteen days ago. Just in time to learn my way around Mene before the begin of the event (which was a wonderful introduction to the site - and gave me plenty opportunities to get my "starter outfit"). =3

I used it back when text messages where still limited to 80 characters, so it was actually out of necessity instead of laziness, but I rather detest how nowadays people seem to have completely forfeited literacy in favour of protecting their keyboards from wearing off. :P

Don't give me any ideas! If only I didn't suffer from a complete lack of spare time...

Hey, it's all just thanks to the event. I dearly love both the commons and the rares, and the fact that most of them came in "my" colour scheme.

If it actually helped with their literacy, I would buy all those chat speakers top-notch keyboards, just so they don't have anymore excuses, either! :P

No studying for me today - it's almost 2AM and, considering I'll have to be working at eight, I should rather go to bed soon. If only... if only staying here wasn't actually more fun.

Sadly, I haven't had time to draw ever since I started working for my current employer, but I really enjoyed drawing and painting back in the "good old days". Ah, well, maybe I'll manage to take some spare time (probably time I would have spent on Mene, anyway *feels a bit guilty for neglecting her duties*) in order to get the Literary Warrior done on Saturday. Might help with getting that mental image out of my mind! :D

In my opinion contributing to the community simply by posting is just as valuable as getting the Contribution Items. Even more so, for I guess Mene could somehow survive without donations, but imagine the site without avid members who spend their time posting...

Actually, I feel a bit guilty - I was able to get those fabulous items *stroking her beloved Overlord again* with just a few clicks.
