Oh well. You're 'handsome' on your own. You have strong features - they make you beautiful! And you can be handsome if you want to, so hmph >P
*pours more compliments on* ...You have all the time in the world to make cool music and land a cool career, lol. ---------- Aaand now it's time for this rainy to get some sleep o.o; I finished editing my script for tomorrow... giving a presentation on the mafia in the 1920's-1940's (and one 1960's-2004 mobster XD). |
Well, I guess I kinda look a bit
And I don't think guitars and my fingers will ever get along enough  I can dream in the meanwhile... hope you had sweet dreams! :D ♥ |
It is usually mai-ryn/rohn, but if you take as your own, you can have it pronounced however you like. People ask if they can call me Alex, and I tell them what's what (in a nice way, of course) ...That I prefer Alexandra, or Alix.
And this seems relevant? Coilhouse » Blog Archive » How to Make Love to a Trans Person It's a poem, so I think that it wouldn't fall into a pornographic category. |
You, my friend, have just delighted my eyes with the nowadays rare sight of beautiful and still loyal-to-truth written art.
Oh and btw, I like that signature image you got there :XD |
I'm so happy I could please, in all quarters. London resident ljosberrin confirmed my suspicions that the image was gleaned from that city.
|
Hahahaha didn't know Ljosberrin lived there! ...
|
My knowledge of London may mean that I even have an idea of where they live >.>
|
Hahah, well, I've never been to London (or Europe in general for that matter. Heck, the only place in the US I've ever been to was Miami beach... :ninja:)
|
Miami seems interesting, with it's art deco history and what not. Also, oily.
|
Yup, I learned art deco is as ugly as art can get. Dunno how it manages to still be called art. Maybe because of the buildings. Half of them are nice-looking.
C'est my opinion. |
Heh. I love art deco. Maybe it wasn't executed properly down there?
|
Blah....
How's everything, guys? ...Kita rather likes art deco, especially in architecture. Kita dislikes stuff like...cubism art...was going to say abstract, but that's not really the right word. |
Yeah, not a cubism fan. Or of it's posterboy, Picasso, for personal reasons. And yet, I have no compunction about saying that Guernica is a true masterpiece.
|
I don't like Picasso. At all. We had to do a "Picasso" drawing in my high school art class, and I hated it.
That's not why I don't like Picasso though. I've never liked Picasso. I like pretty art. Or something that makes me think. |
I like pretty things too. Like the Pre-raphaelites' works:
John William Waterhouse: Thisbe - 1909 « Paintings Okay, so Waterhouse wasn't part of the pre-raphaelite Brotherhood, but he was definitely part of the movement it spawned -hair flip- |
Yeah, stuff like that.
Kita is not going to pretend that she knows art, because she doesn't. >< But I'd like to learn, I just really haven't had much opportunity. The only class that I've ever taken that had anything to do with any art information/history was my 3D art class in high school, but I was pretty much cutting that class every day after like, the third week or so. For the most part because if I attended regularly, I usually wanted to shove the teacher into the kiln. :stare: |
Well, you can always take an art history class on the side at your local community college.
|
I don't think a community college would let me in without a high school diploma.
|
Yeah, art like that I like. Art that does resemble reality. Like Caravaggio. Or Jan van Eyck. I kinda like Albrecht Dürer too. John Constable would be my favorite among the pretty things.
Tamara de Lempicka? Louis Icart? Erté? Not so much  ... I have to admit I have a soft spot for Gustav Klimt and Claude Monet... :ninja: |
Aw, Erte. We have a poster from the time his work came to the Circle gallery.
A moth is currently mistaking me for a lightbulb. |
Eww, do not touch it! My mom once decided to fight it and it turned out she was allergic to them :S Something about their wings makes their victims prone to allergic breakouts or something like that said the doctor...
|
It doesn't bother me, it's just a bit odd.
|
Moths have it in for me.
Seriously, I was camping once and this one that was literally as big as my face attacked me. Then when I went home, it somehow managed to get in my bag and when I unzipped it, it flew out and started biting my face. I couldn't kill it, like, it just wouldn't die. I had bleeding bite marks on my face, and until then I didn't even realize that moths could bite! I beat it to death with a book. O_o And since then, like whenever a moth sees me, they go straight for my face and start fluttering around, hitting my eyes and doing these kamikaze moves into my mouth and choking me. I am convinced that the moth I killed was actually some kind of moth-y demigod and now, from moth hell, it sends its little moth worshipers/minions to attack me. |
Are we sure moth #1 wasn't Mothra?
|
I called it Mothra.
But no, it was a moth demigod. Right after that happened, I watched the first Inuyasha movie (I was [and pretty much still am] obsessed with Inuyasha) in which the villain, Menomaru ----> http://www.inuyasha-fan.com/characters/menomaru.jpg , is a moth demon, and I was like " Oh my god!!" It was crazy... |
