MORBiDUS 12-29-2008 12:29 AM

Seh'ethil covered his face with his arm from the dust that'd been knocked lose as Link kicked the wall, and then followed as they proceeded on. He was thankful that they had Link's triforce to light the way, however, worried such a task might take a toll on his friend. He didn't fully understand the triforce's power as it was, or Link's, for that matter, however.

The traps along with the dark and narrow corridors were setting Seh'ethil at unease, the elf, used to open fields and free forests was feeling slightly out of place and claustrophobic. Of course, now was no time to allow it to get to him. "Link! Look!" The elf said, pointing towards a small crack where the stone doors were. It creeped up the wall, and would prove a weak point.

"It'd be easier to break if you hit there," Seh'ethil said, moving closer to give it a better look. He would have done it himself, but his strength in no way compared to Link's. He turned back and put his hand on his friend's shoulder. "We can't let him go now, we've followed him too far to give up."

_~Link~_ 12-29-2008 01:01 AM

"Don't worry, this'll be easy, stand back, okay?" He jumped back, ran toward the wall and kicked it as hard as he could, the doors fell backwards, forcing gold coins and jewels to fly in the air on impact. Alikah jumped in shock, looking behind him he noticed Seh'ethil and Link, "how... how did you follow me?!" He asked, sounding scared. He had a pharaoh's crown in his arms, it was made of pure gold, "if you came looking for the treasure, forget it! Taking so much as a piece of gold out of the pyramid will turn you to stone!" Link stood there, confused, "but, we didn't come for the gold, we were chasing yo-" Link was interrupted with a scoff from Alikah, "lies! You were gonna kill me, take the Pharaoh's crown and steal all the gold for yourselves! Its the only way to make it out with the treasure, but I'm gonna destroy it, right now!"

He threw it to the floor, "no!!" Link shouted, trying to grab it, but he was too late, it broke into a million pieces on the stone floor. The whole pyramid began to shake uncontrollably, stones fell from the ceiling, crashing onto the floor below. "Now no one can have my family's treasure!" Yelled Alikah, he looked like he was trying to not cry, but Link didn't focus on that very much, he just wanted to get everyone outta here. "Alikah, come on! We can still make it!" Link shouted over all the noise, reaching out to Alikah, hoping he'd take his hand before it was too late. When he did Link pulled him out of the way before a stone block could fall on him, "lets go!" Link shouted, running for his life with Seh'ethil and Alikah in front.

They managed to make it out into the entrance chamber, a huge stone pillar came loose and almost blocked the door, but Link jumped and caught it in time, using all his strength to hold it up. "...Go! I can't hold it... much longer!" Link shouted, struggling to talk. Despite Alikah amazed by Link's strength he didn't stand there long, he ran outside, with Seh'ethil behind. Link tossed the pillar as far as he could and ran outside, just before the whole Pyramid collapsed, sending sand and dust into the air.

MORBiDUS 12-29-2008 01:29 AM

Seh'ethil was sure he had ran faster out of that crumbling pyramid than he ever had before; they'd made a close escape. He covered his face quickly to hide from the debris, and the sand that tossed from the winds. When he unveiled himself, he was glad to see everyone had made it out, and would have thanked Link for saving both him and Alikah had he not been busy panting in exhaustion.

The elf would have shot the child a mean glare if he hadn't understood that he simply was just that, a child, and that seemed reason enough to forgive Alikah's rash actions and quick conclusions. Yet, the child nearly causing all three of them their deaths wasn't completely forgotten, and so Seh'ethil pushed him over lightly, if only to hope he would learn his lesson.

"Link.. are you .. okay?" The elf asked, in between heavy breaths of air, still trying not to take too much dust into his lungs. A sand storm seemed to be brewing close by, and they'd have to flee soon.

_~Link~_ 12-29-2008 01:46 AM

Link, flat out on the ground started to cough as he got up, "yeah," he tried to say in-between coughs, "I'm alright, are you two okay though?" Alikah didn't answer, he was sobbing quietly, "I'm sorry" he mumbled, "I'm so sorry, I almost got us all killed... I'm sorry" he could hardly breathe he was sobbing so much. Link, unsure how to respond to him just gave him a pat on the back trying to calm him down, "relax Alikah, we're all still alive and uninjured, thats all the matter now."

By that time the winds were becoming more fierce, "right now is not the time for crying, we gotta get back to town before we're buried in the sand" he helped Seh'ethil and Alikah up and get running to town. When they reached the town they ran into a nearby shed, it was stable and held its own against the storm, all they could do was wait for it to pass now.

MORBiDUS 12-29-2008 01:57 AM

Inside of the shack Seh'ethil sat down, pulled off his boot and shook a handful of sand out of it. He patted the bottom to get any remaining grains out, put it back on, and then continued to do the same with the other one. "I hate sand..." He muttered, and then looked at Link and Alikah.

"Why was everyone after your family's treasure, Alikah?" Seh'ethil asked, not only trying to pass the time through the storm but wanting to know. Asides from the obvious want for riches that all greedy beings seemed to possess, he figured there was more of a story behind it. Maybe it would take the kid's mind off nearly killing them all, if it wasn't worse of a tale. He took a sip of water from his canteen and then offered the Alikah some, knowing Link still had those containers and didn't need it.

_~Link~_ 12-29-2008 02:18 AM

Alikah grabbed the canteen and took a drink, giving it back he started to calm down to tell his tale. "The pyramid was the home of my ancestors, hoarding all the riches of my great, great, great grandfather within his pyramid. After he died, his solid gold crown was placed in the chamber with his vast amount of riches, but his sages put a curse on all his treasure so grave robbers couldn't steal it. The key to open the door was handed down generation after generation until it was handed down to me by my father, hoping the treasure would never be found out those three people I killed stole the key and were after the treasure. It is my duty to stop those who want to rob the pyramid, by any means necessary. But after retrieving the key I felt awful inside, so thats why I ran into the pyramid to destroy the only thing keeping it standing so nothing like that would ever happen again, but I didn't know you two would follow me.

So I destroyed the crown anyway thinking it was my only chance... and here we are now. Now no one will need to die for the sake of greed in this desert again." He looked at his hands in disgust, it must've been the first time he had killed anyone. By the time his story was done the storm started to quiet down, when it fully passed he pushed the door open, there were 5 more inches of sand on the ground thanks to the storm. "I'm starting to hate sand too Seh'ethil..." Link muttered in agreement.

MORBiDUS 12-29-2008 02:29 AM

Seh'ethil nodded in attention as he listened to Alikah's story. He now sympathized for the child more, and almost felt bad for their earlier accusations and actions. Yet, Alikah's story hadn't been known, and so such reactions seemed just.

The elf sighed as he looked out the door, excess sand pouring into the shed. He pulled his cloth mask over his face and stepped outside, unhappily. His foot slipped in the sand and Seh'ethil almost slipped, catching himself before he fell. "Should we continue on?" Seh'ethil asked Link, wondering if it wouldn't be better to stay stationed in the village for longer to recuperate.

The elf brushed more sand off his ear, it seemed as though there was no place it couldn't reach. The dry and dirty feel of the desert was certainly starting to irritate him, yet such were the conditions of traveling through it.

_~Link~_ 12-29-2008 02:44 AM

"If you head east you can reach the end of the desert, but no one has made it to the very end without dying of thirst, even going fully prepared. Its the only way to make it any farther though, I suggest you take it." Alikah said as he walked back home, "good luck... friends..." Before Link could say good-bye Alikah had entered his home, Link decided to leave him alone, he seemed a bit traumatized from the whole ordeal. "Come on Seh'ethil, the farther we get away from all this sand the better," he went back to the stable to get their horses, he climbed on its back and waited for Seh'ethil.

MORBiDUS 12-29-2008 02:56 AM

Seh'ethil nodded in agreement, he couldn't wait to be rid of the desert's poor weather. His lips were starting to chap and even slightly blister as they dried out, and it was far from pleasant. Alikah's warning wasn't reassuring, but the ongoing want to get out of the desert gave him motivation.

The elf followed to their horses which had seemingly stayed safe from the previous storm in their stable, and mounted his. He let the horse have one last long drink before their trip. They began to ride off east into the sands, the wind that'd previously whipped sand in their face now dying down, now that the storm had hit and calmed.

Tired, Seh'ethil leaned down and buried his face into his horses dark mane, resting lightly. The horse continued on despite its rider not giving any constant command. Not long after the elf was forced fully awake as the horse reared up, nearly knocking him off. It refused to go any further.

Grabbing its reins to take control and also hold on Seh'ethil settled the startled beast back down. He looked at Link and then at the sand in front of them. It would have been hard to tell due to the dark, yet the elf's parshall night vision gave him a better hint. He took a stone out of his quiver and threw it in front of them, and it sunk in, proving what the horses had already been aware of.

"It's quick sand..." Seh'ethil said, moving his horse to the side and riding, trying to find where it end. He was familiar with it, but only from more jungle like terrain. The fact that it could hide in all the sand of the desert wasn't a nice thought. "We'll need to find away around it." He was glad the horses were more alert than he was, or else they would have ridden straight into it.

_~Link~_ 12-29-2008 03:22 AM

"Midna would be able to get us across... but who knows how the horses will react." Midna shows up in front of his horse's face, scaring it and making it rear up, making Link almost fall off. "Oh, sorry Link!" Midna said, trying to hold back her laughter, she cast her magic, making the horses float, they'd kick their legs but they wouldn't really spazz out which was nice. The quicksand was vastly spread out and it took a good 10 minutes to find a normal patch of sand. When there was a clean patch she let them all down gently, with a kind smile she vanished, returning Link's shadow.

They rode on at full gallop, the sun was slowly rising, turning the sky from black to a brilliant orange with some purple mixed in. No matter how far they went, there was no sign of life anywhere, just sand as far as the eye could see, the sun was fully risen now, the sunlight harshly growing more fierce. Link was starting to lose hope as he began to sweat due to the heat, but he could see the faint color of green in the distance, pushing his horse harder they managed to get closer. Trees and grass could be seen along with a large lake, but this wasn't the main land he had hoped for, it was just a larger oasis.

He got off his horse and he let it stand in the shade to graze off the grass, he took off his cloak, hat and weapons to swim in the water and cool off. Thanks to the trees there was some shade even over the water, to help it not dissolve away. "Lets rest now and we'll leave tonight, hows that sound Seh'ethil?" He asked as he laid back on the surface, basking in the faint sunshine.

MORBiDUS 12-29-2008 03:38 AM

Seh'ethil was grateful to Midna and her magic once again, always seeming to get them out of tight spots. He was even more grateful, however, when he saw the upcoming water and lush green. Disappointed as he was to find that it wasn't the end of the desert, he was still overly glad it was a rest from the heat.

"It sounds... good. Sticking to traveling by night seems like our best option," Seh'ethil said, agreeing to Link's plan. If traveling by night wasn't their only option, seeing as it was almost too hot to even consider continuing by day, if they wanted to make it out alive.

He nearly fell off of his horse and into the shade, all too happy for the oasis. His horse went over to drink some of the water, and then laid down near the other horse, resting. "You don't mind if I join you?" The elf asked, taking off his boots and letting his pack and weaponry down in the sand. Seh'ethil kept the most of his clothes on as he dipped into the water, hoping that for as long as they would stay wet it might cool him off further.

"If we ever get out of this sand filled grave..." Seh'ethil said, wading in the water only up to his waist "...The first thing I am doing is finding a real lake"

When the archer finished his swim, he climbed out, and took a blanket out that'd been stored near the saddle of his horse. He spread it out and curled up in it, trying to get some rest before night fall. First, however, he helped himself to some of the peaches he'd brought along - surprised they hadn't shriveled up from the heat, his pack had apparently kept them cool enough that they were still enjoyable.

_~Link~_ 12-29-2008 03:57 AM

"I'm sure by the time we get out of here you'll want to drink the first lake you find." He laughed as he got out of the water, but he sat near the edge, kicking his feet lightly under the surface. It gave him some time to think and wonder... if Zelda was alright, if any of his friends still remembered him, all it did was depress him so he tried to not think of it anymore. He sighed sadly, "I'm starting to wonder how far we can keep going Seh'ethil, I dunno if its just me who feels this way, but..." He couldn't find the words to describe how he felt, "oh nevermind, forget I said anything..."

He looked in the lake, seeing his reflection, but his reflection turned into Ganon's face, startling Link he crawled backwards against a tree, splashing water everywhere. It seemed a bit unlikely, but he thought that Ganon's spirit was haunting him. Everything hes been through in his whole life, fighting unimaginable monsters, he was bound to believe in anything by now. He didn't want the stress to get to him so he calmed down and went back into the lake to take a swim.

MORBiDUS 12-29-2008 04:23 AM

"What do you mean?" Seh'ethil asked, softly. He wasn't sure what Link had intended as he spoke, and only found himself further concerned when his friend jumped back from the lake. He stood up in his worry, watching Link from the edge of the water.

The elf later went in himself, his boots still off from the last time, and swam out to where Link was. He wrapped his arms around Link's waist from behind and pulled him back lightly to where it was shallower, giving him a hug. "Are you okay, Link?"

_~Link~_ 12-29-2008 04:36 AM

Link felt a bit awkward but he returned the hug, "yeah, I'm okay, its probably just the heat getting to me thats all." He said, he then held his forehead like he had a headache, "or maybe the stress of all this travel... I feel like just settling down in the next village, if we find one, for the next couple of days. Are you okay with that Seh'ethil?" He asked curiously.

MORBiDUS 12-29-2008 04:55 AM

"Of course..." He paused and then moved back and out of the water. Seh'ethil went to go sit back on his laid out blanket, laying down on his side and looking towards Link. "When we find the end of this desert, we can go our seperate ways, if you'd like," the elf offered, smiling weakly.

He fell asleep shortly after. Although it was not easy to change your eternal clock, the heat certainly helped to doze him off, as dehydration made one tired. When the archer awoke night had fallen. He took a large gulp from his canteen and then put back on his pack/quiver, bow and boots. He followed up by repacking the blanket. The elf got on his horse, which after the long rest, was just as ready to continue on.

"We'll be the first to make it out of here alive," He mumbled. Seh'ethil figured it was an over exaggeration that no one had ever gotten passed without dying, however, he could tell by the heat that ruled the desert during the day that it was not far from a good estimate.

_~Link~_ 12-29-2008 05:09 AM

Link, putting back on all his equipment joined in Seh'ethil by getting on his own horse, "by the way, before you fell asleep I was gonna say that I won't leave you, I'll follow you till this body can no longer keep up. You're my friend Seh'ethil, you give me something to look forward to in life, why would you even think such an idea?" He gave Seh'ethil a smile and his horse started to gallop east again, hopefully they were a lot closer to the end of the desert by now.

MORBiDUS 12-29-2008 05:24 AM

Seh'ethil was a bit surprised at Link's belated response, yet he smiled widely at it. The elf had never been all that used to friendships, having only had quite short lived ones in the past, and the bond of it was quite kind of a thought to him.

There was a green horizon, and this time, it was not an oasis - and luckily, not a mirage either. Seh'ethil shouted out in joy, hitting his horse's side to force it to go faster, not wanting to be in the desert for a second longer than necessary. The joy of getting out of the hot, stormy desert was too great, and the elf lost all sense of caution. As he neared the end of the sand, the horse took a great jump over a hole that'd been nearly hidden by it, and then reared up as it landed. Seh'ethil, having had his mind else where, fell back.

He'd just managed to grab onto the very edge, where rock ledge stuck out, however the sand that was on top of it made it harder to keep hold. He swung himself slightly so that he might grab hold with both hands instead of one, and carefully pulled himself up. Seh'ethil, however scared from almost have fallen, recovered quickly, and dashed towards the green, where his horse had already continued on to.

"We made it Link!" He said, almost laughing from how exciting it was to have finally exited the desert. He turned to Link, celebrating. "We made it!" Seh'ethil jumped up and back onto his horse with new found energy, not bothering to give the sand even one last glance as he rode on. There was an outline of civilization in the distance, and the elf assumed it was no doubt their destination.

As the horse ran on Seh'ethil let go of his reins, taking off the mask and scarf that'd so long shielded him from the sands and stuffing it in a cub hole of the saddle, sipping back most of what was left of his canteen and then pouring the excess water onto his face. The elf was certain of one thing, and that was that he never wanted to see sand again.

_~Link~_ 12-29-2008 05:43 AM

Link grew worried for when Seh'ethil almost fell down the hole yet he couldn't help but get excited and laugh with Seh'ethil when he made it back up safely. But it was mostly about the way he acted, Link had been through a desert before, but I guess it was his friend's first time in one at all. He followed behind soon catching up and his horse ran by Seh'ethil's side, "race ya!" He shouted, his horse ran faster toward their destination, swerving past any trees in its way. He was laughing to himself, looking back at Seh'ethil to see if he was catching up, he was almost near the edge of the town. However Seh'ethil came up from behind, going past Link's exhausted horse and winning the race, he pulled the horse's reigns and it skid to a stop, "I'm sorry boy" he said, petting the horse's head, "I won't push you so hard again."

He got off the horse and walked it toward an available stable where other horses were at, "haha, nice job Seh'ethil, you beat me" he said as he helped his horse into the stable, closing the gate behind him. He looked at the town up a tall staircase made of stone, it looked like a medieval town, you could hear the faint sounds of chickens clucking and cows mooing. "Well, lets explore this place, maybe theres an inn here." He said as he climbed the staircase.

MORBiDUS 12-29-2008 06:12 AM

"Barely," Seh'ethil commented, as he got off his stead. He followed to the nearest stable, also allowing his horse rest there. The elf had fallen a bit behind, setting his horse up in the stable as Link climbed the staircase, and so he ran to catch up. His energy was starting to ware off, yet he was still all too happy to have made it to the town.

"If there is an inn, the first thing I'm doing is bathing. We might have gotten out of the desert but the sand came with us..." Seh'ethil said, with a slight sigh, knowing he'd have to dump his boots out again. He thought it was well possible for them to make their own desert with the amount of sand he'd unwantedly collected.

As they made it to the top of the staircase, Seh'ethil took a good, wide look around. There was a lot to see and take in, but he was really more interested in finding any welcoming structure that could look vaguely like a place to stay. He walked in further through the town until he found one. He would have ran through the door if it hadn't been for his previous found energy diminishing.

The elf entered and went up to the counter which a young lady stood behind. He figured Link would catch up. Seh'ethil pulled his money pouch from his belt and began to dig around for what the fee would be to get a room.

"You look awful dry, you weren't trying to cross that there desert, were ya?" The girl remarked. Seh'ethil figured there was no need to brag, and only smiled politely, handing over the necessary coin he'd fished out from his bag. He explained his want for another, separate room as he paid double.

As she turned to get the keys to his appointed rooms, Seh'ethil decided to return the friendly conversation. "You own this inn?" He asked. Despite the kindness in his tone, he was quite impatient, almost unable to wait to goto his room. "Inn keeper's daughter," She explained, as she handed him the key. The elf simply nodded and headed back out the door to Link. "I'm going to go rest.." He informed, handing Link the key to the other room he'd gotten, before going back in and dashing up the stairs to find his room. The archer assumed Link could settle on his own.

As Seh'ethil entered his room he didn't take much time to admire it. He hurriedly dropped his stuff near a bed and headed towards a walled off section that presumably held a bath. The tub was a large, wooden structure, almost looking like a giant barrel. It was void of water, so the elf would have to go back out to get some.

After a few trips of carrying buckets up and down the stairs from a room that held the inn's hot water source, the elf had a bath readied for himself. He stripped of his clothes and stepped in, the hot water proving itself relaxing to sore muscles. Seh'ethil had to scrub himself down before he thought he was free of dust, and when he finished and let the water out, the bottom of the tub had collected dirt and sand. He dried his face and hair with a towel, then put on a pair of fresh clothes the inn offered with the room. The clothes weren't to his liking and were also far too large in size, yet, Seh'ethil hadn't wanted to bathe only to put his dirty, sandy ones back on, and go through the process again.

The elf didn't even bother to put on his boots as he walked barefoot out of his room, and then out of the inn. He decided it would be better just to find a merchant in the town, and replace his entire wardrobe, for the time being.

_~Link~_ 12-29-2008 06:40 AM

He didn't check out his room right away, he went to look for a sort of hospital, to bandage up his wound, so he put the key in his side bag and walked off. When he finally found the hospital he walked in, there were a vast amount of beds with some people in them, looking mortally wounded, some had broken arms while others had broken legs. "Not another one!" said the doctor frustratingly, "oh wait, you're not injured, I'm sorry son but if you don't have an emergency I can't help you right now. We've been having some trouble around here during the war." The doctor was an old man with gray hair, he had big glasses, enlarging his eyes, but behind them his eyes were small, he looked more like a mad scientist than a physician.

"Please, can you bandage me up at least? I'll pay you," Link said as he unbuttoned his shirt, revealing his wound, the doctor jumped and shrieked in horror. "How are you still standing with a wound like that, kid?!" But he quickly quieted down to not disturb the injured soldiers resting, "okay, I'll help you, come over here and I'll bandage you up" he said, edging Link to come sit on a plush table. He got out his med kit and reached for some clean linen, Link lifted his arms up and the doctor began to wrap the linen around his chest, covering his wound, when he finished he cut off the access linen and folded under another layer to make sure it would fit. He then caught sight of Link's weapons, "I see you're a warrior, what happened to you, did you get in a fight with a monster and lose?" Asked the doctor jokingly, but Link was in no mood for laughter right there, so the doctor shut himself up.

Link reached into his wallet and gave the doctor a few gold coins, "thank you for your help, doctor" he put back on his shirt, buttoned it up and began to leave, but as he did, two men carrying a fellow soldier came running in, "his leg is broken doctor, you gotta help him!" One of them said desperately, "alright!" the doctor grumbled, "I'm getting too old for this, okay, bring him to the table and I'll patch him up." After they placed the soldier on the table, one of the others noticed Link, "hey kid!" One said running over, "you're not from around here are you...? Did you come from the desert?" He asked Link curiously.

"Yes... I did, why?" Link asked in return, "any guy as tough as you could certainly aid us in our fight against the other kingdom" the soldier replied, "what do you say?" Link looked at him a bit surprised, the fact he would ask a random person to join his army without so much as a second thought was a bit baffling. "Only if my friend will agree, I won't say yes till I get his side of the story," the soldier scratched his head, "well, okay kid, lets go find your 'friend'." So they left the hospital in search for Seh'ethil.

MORBiDUS 12-29-2008 06:54 AM

Seh'ethil had managed to find himself a new outfit, and headed back to the inn so that he might change into it. He had a long, open robe with the black silhouette of a lion on the upper back - apparently, a favored logo of the village, from what he could tell from the other merchandise. It sported small, vertical stripes of reds, greys, whites and blacks, with small gold colored squares patched on. The sleeves were similar, however the stripes on it were much fatter, and horizontal, opposite to the entire of the robe. He'd manage to find dark brown boots much like his old, and was satisfied enough with drop crotched pants of a slightly lighter shade of brown. He decided to discard his old attire, leaving it in the room.

The elf had left with his quiver, bow and pack re-equip. Walking around without a weapon, even in what at first glance appeared a peaceful town, made him feel edgy, paranoid. Seh'ethil had knocked at the door to Link's room to see if he'd been there, yet finding him not, went out to see if he wouldn't run into his friend.

When Seh'ethil did, he was a bit surprised to see him with a soldier. When he realized Link was in no trouble, though, the elf approached out of curiosity. "Link," He greeted, with a smile, expecting his friend to explain what he was doing with the solider.

_~Link~_ 12-29-2008 07:26 AM

((Sorry for not replying in forever, sister had to look up a walkthrough for her PSP game, she had to sit down to read it.))

"Hey Seh'ethil," he scratched the back of his head, unsure of how to explain what the soldier offered, "we've been offered to join the kingdom's army of soldiers to fight against the opposing kingdom. I wasn't about to do it if you weren't so I came to get your answer... so, what do you say?" He asked chuckling nervously. The soldier looked at Seh'ethil, wondering if he'd even last a minute out in the battlefield. "You seem a bit skinny kid..." he soon noticed his bow and arrows, "ahh, I see now, you're an archer, not really fit for face up fighting huh?" The soldier joked, laughing a little, however he didn't get anyone else to laugh.

"uhh, so, if you're willing to join us, we'll see where you fit best." He said, holding his hand out for the "hand shake of agreement" kind of thing.

MORBiDUS 12-29-2008 07:38 AM

((No worries. I seem to take a while myself. and I usually don't have much of an excuse! ))

Seh'ethil blinked a couple times, not sure what to make of what he'd just been told. He looked toward Link curiously, remembering he had prior said something about settling down. The elf seemed a bit annoyed by the soldier's joke, and the expression on his face showed it. He had to refrain from insulting him, although understood he'd probably not meant anything rude by what he said.

"I'll stand by whatever you wish to do, Link," Seh'ethil said. He was apparently still a bit bitter towards the solider, and wasn't about to touch his out stretched hand. The elf was fine with whatever decision was made, but questioned if his friend was really up to it or not, with what he'd said in the desert.

_~Link~_ 12-29-2008 07:58 AM

"To be honest, I want to help, but I want to at least get a couple days of relaxation in first" he explained to the soldier, "we've been traveling for a long time and I'd like to refrain from fighting for now. But don't worry, a true warrior will always get the urge to fight once more" the soldier scratched his head, "uhm, okay kid, I'll leave you two alone now I guess, I'll mention you to our captain for when you change your minds." he said, walking back toward the castle out in the distance. Link stretched and yawned, "I dunno about you but I'm gonna get cleaned up and take a nap. See you in a little while Seh'ethil." He said as he walked back to the inn, it was like he was slowly becoming more human again since he met Seh'ethil. "By the way, nice outfit, it fits your personality," he complimented, before he entered.

He grabbed some water from the inn's back room till he had a full tub in his own bathroom, he stripped down and slowly climbed into the tub to clean himself up. The water was so relaxing he took his time cleaning up, but he sadly had to get out, pouring out the bath water. After he dried off he wore one of the private robes available to guests, he went down to the wash room to clean his clothes. One of the maids took his clothes for him, "I'll make them all clean and new for you sir!" she said with a smile, "thank you" Link replied, smiling back, he was a bit surprised she didn't get freaked out from his appearance.

He went back into his room and took off the bathrobe to climb into bed, still in his underwear he fell asleep. Hoping his bad dreams wouldn't destroy his vacation.

Seh'ethil smiled inside slightly at Link's choice. It wasn't that he didn't want to assist the towns people in their battle, but he was glad Link was giving himself a rest. He watched the soldier walk off before turning his head to Link as he spoke. "Until later, Link," He said, the before mentioned smile now reaching his lips as he bid his friend farewell. The elf wasn't sure how to take the compliment, but it was nice to hear in contrast to the guards joke.

The archer walked the streets of the town a bit longer, staying out until dusk, where he was forced to head back to the inn, lest he be locked out. Still not quite tired, however, the elf climbed out of the window in his room, onto the roof. He sat there, looking up into the night's sky, pondering the stars. It was said his people were descendants of the stars, or children of the night, and although the thought was much more like a fairy tale to him, it gave him slight nostalgia to think it over.

The elf remembered his discomfort in the bed he'd slept in at the mountain village they'd been to, and so as he got tired, he jumped across to a building that had a fresh, soft straw roof, and fell asleep there.

Seh'ethil woke up to the sound of towns people, chickens clucking and cows mooing, as it had been when they'd arrived the previous day. He managed to make it back to his room. When the elf opened the door and looked out into the hall there was a jug of fresh milk in front of it, apparently compliments of the inn. He took and drank it before heading down the hall and knocking lightly on Link's door, wondering if his friend was up yet, or if he'd even chosen to sleep.
