Wow, lots of replies while I was sleeping *sips on coffee* First off, thank you all for offering to show me your Point of View on the matter and being so civil about it. Now I feel a little silly putting the disclaimer up under the first post, too used to Gaia I figure^^;;

I'm glad both artists and non artists posted here, there has been many good points raised, some I didn't see before and it's downright just made me fall in love with Mene (dang you all D: ).

However, on one point I have to disagree with some of you. If you have no talent you can honestly practise all you want, it won't work. I'm 23, I tried to seriously learn drawing from age 12 to 16 not getting anywhere in those 4 years no matter how much I practised. You have to have talent then the practise will help, if you don't it simply won't happen.

Or you know..maybe there's something wrong with my head o_O

Well, being artistic is like being good at trading the market places or donating tons of money and selling the collectibles. It just depends on what you find to do to make money. Some people talk for hours, some draw for hours, some use half of their paycheck, and some find a way to do a little of all.

Well, its also practicing the right thing and branching off to learn the details. You can hit a tennis ball against a wall for hours a day but it won't make you a top tennis professional no matter how long you practice. Its branching out, experimenting, and working with other people that help you expand. With any skill, its knowing what you lack, understanding the basics and where you want to branch to, and finding people who are open and willing to help you find what is lacking and point you in the right directions. ^^

Haah, well my personal problem with drawing is not that I cannot do it, heck, I could take the drawing in your sig, place it beside me and draw you the exact same things. But that's not the point of drawing, that's what little children do.

It's within my brain or something, while I can fantasize real life situations all day I have a serious problem with having those drawings show up in my head to draw them. I need the visual in front of me to draw but it never happens. When I imagine what I would like to draw there IS art in my head...art that I have seen before, not something I came up with on my own.

It's weird really but I live with it and I don't grieve the people who more or less effortlessly create beautiful art. When it comes down to it, I just wish there were more games or something for those non-artistic people. Posting has been mentioned and yes, that's a good gold earner here I noticed, and in my short time here I've posted embarrassingly much, however, 4 games must get boring very very fast when you've been on here for years xD

On the other side you have to realise, artists don't only make money by drawing art, they make money by posting and playing games as well. They'll always have one up on us on these sites.
