Partners in Literacy (Open)
Hello. My name is Kanna and really, the entire reason I joined Menewsha was to gander at the roleplaying community. However, recently I have found myself rather bored. And I realize that to keep myself content while I'm here, I require much more to do with my time than stare at my screen waiting for something to happen.
For that very reason, I have decided to put out a request for roleplay partners. There are only a few requirements that I ask if you wish to take me up on this offer which can all be found below. |
My requirements are simple and minimal.
~Firstly, I only engage in literate roleplay. If you don't know what it means, then you probably don't do it. I have no problem with explaining if you're confused, but this is my highest priority ~Also, I don't tolerate godmodding or any other idiocy of the like. I expect all of my partners to be open minded to ideas, flexible to suggestions and understanding of my characters, as I will be the same to them. ~And, of course, I hold the absolute right to turn you down if I'm not interested in what you have to offer. I'm not saying you get three chances to impress me and then I have no more time for you, but please do not badger me when I tell you that I do not find interest in your cliches. I like to think of myself as a very understanding individual, so please, do not be concerned about asking me anything. I have no reason to treat anyone with anything but kindness, that includes you. ^_^ |
To help inspire, I have a list here of all of the genres and styles of roleplay I am open to and those I have done before.

Combination of several are allowed and encouraged. There are some things that I just don't like participating in so please do not even suggest settings centered around... ~Angst ~Fandom roleplaying ~War I hope this will offer a better idea of what I'm looking for. |
If you think you'd like to roleplay with me, I would ask that you post here to begin with. And, also, I'd like some sort of example of any of your roleplaying. That could be maybe a link to a different thread, or something you improvise.
If I like what you have to offer, then we can discuss genres and characters. Once we've reached a mutual agreement, then I'll build a thread for us. Thank you so much and I'm looking forward to new opportunities in roleplay! |

Hello there ^_^ Glad to have you. I certainly like your attention to detail, it's alluring. Though it does bother me a wee bit that you're writing in present tense, but I can easily get over that and adapt if need be.

I can try and do any tense you are used if you would like.
And I guess I'm into fantasy and romance mostly. I love the appeal of someone/something wanting something so badly and unable to get it. I love rping as a vampire but I can change it up if you would prefer something differ, I have been wanting for a while to try a werewolf. |

The classic settings, of course. I like those myself. When it comes to romance, I must ask, what's your preferred gender pairing? As I said earlier, I'm okay with anything.... You know, I've been wanting to do a werewolf rp too. I've never done one before, but I'm thinking that I'd like to try it out. How about we start with something like that? |
As of gender, I mostly Rp male characters. I'm not really good at females. I can if you are in the mood for playing a male character or whatever really. I don't mind yaoi, yuri, whatever. Do you have a plot in mind?
Hey just an idea, why dont we try to make it challenging and try rping this years back. Like a werewolf rp in the 1950's? Or earlier even? Just a though. ^_^;; |
So like a period RP then? That could be fun. I gotta say, though, I'm mostly a big fan of Europe in the 1700's. So if we do something like that, you might have to twist my leg a little to convince me to go to a later time.
You'll be playing a male, I'm guessing. I think I'll be a male too. I need some variety among my other rps. A plot, I do not have yet...still in the thinking process... |
just a warning though, if we do do a period piece that far back I might have trouble making my characters talk in that tense.
Aside from that I think we could think of something when it came to plot later on unless you like a plot before we start. . . |
Personally, I'd rather stick with modern times to be honest. :sweat: It's a lot easier that way...
Mmh, I like to at least have some direction. Maybe not something really specific but a point to aim towards works nice. Any ideas? |

Hello Katneko. I have no problems starting an rp with you. And a male slash one will work fine. That's a good idea you have there. My only problem is where it will go. I suppose we could just start off and see what happens from there. Romance rps usually work like that...

Hai there. I've seen you around a bit... ^_^ But anyways. I'm interested. I'm really really really submissive and flexiblle when it comes to stuff like stories and settings though. If you ask most of my real life friends they'll tell you that my most commonly spoken phrase is "I don't care". Just to give you an example... But I'm pretty much into anything. I'm a little tired of vampires, I don't do yaoi, yuri, and I prefer to play guys, but I think I'm pretty much open to anything beyond that. I don't get to do much sci-fi stuff so that would be interesting to me if you have any good story ideas there. But as for my "best setting" that would probably be old-school medieval fantasy. I tend to be better at writing long stuff with that. Modern is just too boring to me I guess. :/ But then sample... Hmm... I have to decide what to give ya here... This RP contains the longest post I've ever done in my wimpy little three months I've been role playing... But she hasn't replied yet so it's not gone anywhere yet. ); But then for a bit more to look at, there's this one... Yah, different site, sorry. Don't have too many on Menewsha yet... ^_^; And finally a more normal look would be here. Because I tend not to do paragraphs sometimes. I try very hard, but if there's either writer's block, or else the other person doesn't give me enough to work with, then they'll be short. My post length tends to match my partner most of them time whether that means super-long or pretty short... But I think that's it. O_O That was sort of long eek. |

I honestly have no real ideas other then maybe they are from different clans or maybe they have to fight for leadership of the pack and fall in love or something ^_^;; You got anything yet? |
@Katneko: No, no, it's a very nice idea. Sounds lovely and harmless, which is good because I can't stand high drama. :sweat: PMing would be good as I think I'm starting to get a bit popular here. XD If you could go ahead and send me a message with the character you're thinking of using, I'll mold mine to accommodate him. Sound good?
@Sushi: Hey there, it's nice to see you here. I'm glad you want to rp with me. Okay, business then. I would like to do a sci-fi one too. Honestly, I've never done one before, but it sounds interesting and I've written stories in that sort of context. Hmm...I wonder...do you read manga, Sushi? Because there's this one that I really like called Fire Candy that I would love to do a sort of side story to. As for a storyline, maybe we could do something like that. Oh, basically, it centers around this futuristic world where humans have started losing their ability to procreate, so now, most of the world's children are like half or part animal. And these animal children are shunned from the normal humans, so they create these little street gangs...you want a link? It might be easier if you just read it. It's only 19 chapters, and the ending sort of cuts off, but I think you'll get the gist of what I'm aiming for just by reading the first couple. Here; I have to warn you, it's a bit explicit on some parts if you want to continue reading. It's like...Air Gear on drugs, really. Tell me what you think. And if you're not interested then we'll think of something else! @Chibiruler1990: Of course. But then again, there are some things that are considered cliche that you just can't avoid. And that's alright. ^_^ I'm not the cliche nazi (though some beg to differ). What you suggested sounds good. Not cliche, more like classic. Like Wild Rock. Man I'm just going nuts on the manga today, aren't I? No, that sounds fun. Are you good with that then? I'm guessing, with this whole head of clans thing, that we're leaning towards a male/male pairing? Of course, it doesn't have to be like that, I'm just taking slow steps when it comes to this. |
no dude I love it when people take things slowly. It just means they actually want to make this a good rp. Not any of those two sentence clap rp's.
And I think the rp will be fun if we do the two pack deal. And as for the rp we will see where the romance takes us. Maybe somewhere down the line there is a female character, I dont know. We'll think of something. Love has to grow so that gives us plenty of time to work that kind of stuff out. So now that we have a basic plot and everything down did you want to start the rp? Or did you want me to start? |
Hmm that sounds interesting... Yea, I read a bit of manga, but I've never read that one. Though it sounds interesting. ^_^ I've seen a little Air Gear so... -thinks about that on crack- O_O :XD But it sounds interesting. I'd be willing to try it out. ^_^ Nineteen chapters isn't so bad. I haven't quite finished it yet but I get the general idea. And I'll be done with it soon. I like it, over-looking the language and nudity. ^_^ I'm in love with Leo now... :XD He's a lot like my characters I think. Or some of my characters. The ones that don't hide in the corners at least... But that sounds like a fun thing to RP... :9 I'd love to use that. ^_^ I'll be playing a guy, by the way. I pretty much only play guys.
