-hisses at Kat- CUTE!?

Wings of Writing 05-01-2010 04:12 AM

Thanks Granny. I'm really looking forward to it. I actually can't wait to get to my doctoral studies. I want so much to do it over dystopia novels (such as 1984, Farhenheit 451, and Anthem). And if I can I will probably do all of my graduate studies in Europe. Or at least a couple years of them. *nods* English has always been my best and favorite subject (even if my grammar can be atrocious at times)

lol. I had to explain exactly to my mom why I wanted to be surprised for her to actually try and surprise me.

Kat Dakuu 05-01-2010 04:13 AM

I love writing, but I do truly dislike english.

*tacks zea with cute pink hearts* of course! :D

Wings of Writing 05-01-2010 04:14 AM

:feesh:es Kat! How can you dislike English!!!!!!!!!!!! It's so much fun!!

zeapear 05-01-2010 04:14 AM

-unsheathes claws and tackles Kat- AAAARG!

nemo.love_22 05-01-2010 04:15 AM

English is ok, one of my stronger subjects, I just dislike writing papers. But I love writing stories! ^-^

zeapear 05-01-2010 04:16 AM

@ Lola: Same here

GrannyJ 05-01-2010 04:16 AM

Oh Zeapear, you look very beautiful!

I loved my novels courses. We did read 1984. That was very very interesting.
Farenheit was Vonnegut, wasn't it? I remember trying to read it, but I didn't make very good headway.

I love Jane Austen..
I also now love to read the fictional "histories" of England. The ones with Henry VIII and his wives and Elizabeth as Queen.

zeapear 05-01-2010 04:17 AM

Thank you Granny, so do you! ^^

nemo.love_22 05-01-2010 04:17 AM

I love Sherlock Holmes and some Romance, then again, I'm up for most things... Shakespeare confuses me something fierce though xD I have to write a rough draft on a Character Analysis on one of the Characters of Hamlet by Wednesday :gonk:

Kat Dakuu 05-01-2010 04:18 AM

well, you know I hate writing papers wings and I like reading the stories and some analysis, but it gets too tedious. I hate most all subjects with any structure.

Wings of Writing 05-01-2010 04:18 AM

I love doing both actually hope. As mucas I complain about writing the papers, there is seriously a rush in writing them. And creative writing is something I just absolutely love. Whether I'm writing stories or poems it doesn't mater.

Farhenheit is Ray Bradbury actually. Vonnegut wrote stuff like Cat's Cradle and Slaughterhouse Five.
1984 is my second favorite book, it's amazing!! My favorite book is actually a more current dystopian novel (written in 2008, I believe) called Unwind. That deals with the abortion issue and it is pure genius. I actually have never read Jane Austen, I've been told I should though.

I'm writing a ten-twelve page paper over Macbeth's character right now Hope! It's the final paper for my early english masterworks class

Well, as everyone's different, we get excited/happy over different things.
For me, I get insanely happy, whenever I get to even be around horses, riding, whatnot. I used to ride 10 - 12 hours a week. It was a work out but omg, it was amazing! ^-^

And for me, I don't mind it, just the fact that I don't even get Shakespearean language, that is the rough part.

Anyways, I have to get going.

GrannyJ 05-01-2010 04:23 AM

I just love to read Jane Austen. I love how she uses words. She has a very "satirical" way of writing sometimes.
I can read her novels over and over again, and get something new out of them each time.

I learned quickly in college that the professors had no interest in hearing what *I* thought about the novel.
They only wanted to hear their own opinions parroted back at them. Since high grades were very important to me, that is precisely what I did. I got an A every time. It's very sad.

Well, I must leave now. It's time for bed.
I hope I see you all tomorrow! It's been very nice chatting with you.

zeapear 05-01-2010 04:24 AM

Okay, Goodnight Granny!

Wings of Writing 05-01-2010 04:25 AM

That's sad Granny thus far I haven't encountered a professor like that. Which I'm very grateful for, since I tend to look at stuff that everyone else sees one wa in a completely different way. I.E. I read Macbeth's character as evil from the beginning of the play, not starting after he hears the witches prophecy.

Bye granny, bye hope! talk to you later.

Kat Dakuu 05-01-2010 04:27 AM

bye granny and hope!

I didn't really like any char. in macbeth because most all of them seemed evil. which one were you supposed to like?

zeapear 05-01-2010 04:27 AM

Oh, bye Hope! xD

Wings of Writing 05-01-2010 04:28 AM

Seriously Kat?? You are supposed to probably like Macduff since he is clearly NOT evil at all. But I like Macbeth, as much as he is wholly evil I still can't help but love him

Kat Dakuu 05-01-2010 04:31 AM

hrm, I liked mcbeth for a while and I don't remember much about macduff. I don't remember what ms u said, but I remember not agreeing with the characters she liked and why.

Wings of Writing 05-01-2010 04:33 AM

i don't remember what she said. but I love macbeth up until about Act 4... he's too evil after that. And macduff is just kinda boring at the beginning but in act 5 he is epic!

Kat Dakuu 05-01-2010 04:34 AM

okay, that wasn't my fav. play. I think I like Julius Ceasar most.

Wings of Writing 05-01-2010 04:37 AM

I wish we had finished Julius Caasar instead of just reading the first three acts. but I do love Julius Caesar. Marc Antony is amazing!

Kat Dakuu 05-01-2010 04:38 AM

yeah, marc antony is pretty cool.

Wings of Writing 05-01-2010 04:40 AM

most definitely especially his speech. though i love macbeth's speech too. both are just spectacular
