Ooh psychology homework.. I miss taking psychology, I always found it an interesting subject.
|
gummy: gummy it is! just doing homework and things like that.
kale: it's interesting, my teacher is really great too so that's a plus. |
May I call you Yuen? Is your psychology class all year or just a semester?
|
Yeah, everyone else calls me Yuen =)
Well, I'm in college so the course is just one semester. |
Oh okay. I'm a sophomore in high school and I'm taking psychology. But it's only for a semester; basically it's an elective/social study course xD
|
Gumdrop; My apologies, I had missed your reply to me. That actually sounds fun though, just because you go to a shopping mall you have to buy something (though that's usually the case) but sometimes places have things that you don't have in your city that you've ever found so it shouldn't be that big of deal.
Yeun; That's always a plus! I loved my psychology teacher (strictly speaking, not in love with her lol) she was great at getting us to understand everything and she made games out of the material so it was really fun!! |
:waves to all the new people:
@Yuen: She. Has. A. Metal. Corset. Also, does anyone know how long I should grill bratwurst? I'm suppose to be making it for dinner but I have no clue how. xD |
Kale- It's alright, we're all human and can make a mistake here and there. Gosh knows I'm a prime example of it! C:
To my mother it's a big deal. The Rainforest Cafe sounded interesting and so did the store Torrid, both of which we do not have in our little town. I just thought it'd be cool to spend a day there but maybe in the summer or so. Or when we have more money ^^ Dream_and_Die-Uhm...I've never grilled bratwurst, usually it's boiled. The key point is to just make sure it's pink on the inside and steaming hot lol xD |
Gumdrop; Ooh I see. I haven't heard of either of those stores!!
Heh I know when I went to the Edmonton Mall (largest one in Canada) I was too lost to know where to even start spending and I wound up leaving with nothing at all. :XP I would like to go back some time but I'll need a lot of money because there was one store I'd fallen in love with all their clothes and knicknacks. xD Dream; I'm not even sure what bratwurst is!! |
Pink on the inside and hot. ^_^ Thanks Gummi!
Weird foods have been appearing in my house, I guess it happens when people move in but buy stuff I can cook. xD |
Rainforest Cafe is a colorful cafe set to a rainforest theme. It's supposed to be lively and Torrid is basically like Hot Topic (a supposed gothic store but the merchandise has really declined in quality and significance) except for plus-size women. Although Torrid's clothing looks a lot better than Hot Topic's.
Wow! What was it like in the Edmonton Mall?! My dream is to go there one day and have a camp out lol xD What was your favorite store? Bratwurst is basically a german sausage which you usually boil in saurkrawt (however you spell that). It's a supposed delicacy and it's a lot plumper than regular sausage. Dream- Oh! And be careful, the outside can get REALLY crusty and kind of tough so watch for it. It can be a little crusty but it's one of those things where you just gotta watch it lol xD Good luck. I usually microwaved it or boiled so...yea xD Quote:

Ooh, I see. Sounds cool. I always liked the style of Hot Topic's clothes but I never actually got anything from there seeing as I'd have to order online and I am leery at buying clothing online simply because I like fitting things on to make certain they look good on me.
It was really cool there, we'd spent the whole day walking around and such. There was a hockey game going on in the ice rink, and the wave pool was full of people and it was amazing at how much stuff was there. xD I really want to go back and stuff. Gumdrop; Remember you can't double post!! You have to edit previous post. I'm off to eat now though. be back later. |
I've been to a Rainforest Cafe! Its really cool.
Hot Topic used to be nice, back when it was about music and music merch and indie stuff. Now its mainstream mall goth items. Though they do have one or two good find every now and then. xD :pokes Gummi: Watch the double posting. ^_^ |
I told you all I'm a prime example of mistakes xO
Kale-Sounds awesome! Cya later :] and I promise to not do it again! >w< Dream-What was the Rainforest Cafe like? :3 I know...I never really shopped at Hot Topic but I'd browse...I hated how it's turned out. When I started to see drastic bright colors and not as good bands being advertised... And yes, I'm sorry about the double posting! I'll check next time before I get carried away >.< |
Dream:that's ridiculous. i might be able to do a sleepover this weekend actually. I have to double check with my dad. I usually go on foodnetwork.com if I need to make something. Like tomorrow? My brother and I make the seafood on Fridays for Lent and we're making scallop and shrimp lasagna. Gummy: I love torrid! It's a little pricey for me though. |
The Cafe was really cool they had trees and plants growing through the floor and fake animals hanging around. It was interesting to eat in. xD
|
Oh! I remember the rainforest cafe!!
I actually don't remember the food =P just the environment. maybe we should go one day dream. |
Oh my, I leave for a little bit, and so much happens!
Kale and Gumdrop - welcome dears! So good to see you. It's always nice to have new people here to chat with us. We're a very congenial group of folks, and love to visit. I've been to the Rainforest Cafe - in the mall of America. It's very nice decor, but I wasn't too impressed with the food. Dream, here's how *I* cook brats: First soak in beer and onions. Then put them on the grill. When they start sizzling and the skin starts to split, I cut them open, turn them over, and grill them till they're crunchy! Yes, I know that's not the "preferred" way to cook them, but they tend to be way too greasy for me, and I like them really, really, really well done. `laughs` Of course, I'm the only person I know who likes them that way. Yuen, I really hope that you get that craft shop job. It sounds like it would be a very good fit for you, since you know how to knit and crochet. I hope the owners realize what a good thing it would be to have somebody who would be able to help their customers and answer their questions from personal experience. |
@Granny: I think I might try that tomorrow. I cooked them today and while they came out fine I thought they tasted rather bland.
There's so much offal just laying around the house now. I don't know how to cook any of it. T_T I've been sifting through old recipes but no luck yet. :sigh: |
Dream, after cooking them to charcoal (like crunchy bacon), I eat them in a bun with chopped onions and lots of catsup.
I believe the "correct" way is onions and mustard, but I happen to prefer catsup. Edited: 9:30: News! News! Finally, my grandbaby was born! Kyle James, born on 4/2/09 at 7:21 CDT. 8.5lbs, 20 inches. Mother and baby (and father) are all doing fine. (Gramma and Grampa are doing fine also, and pleased as punch) |
Congrats Granny!
Well congrats to the mother, but still!! Yay! |
Thank you, Dream dear. We're very pleased.
I was hoping it would be the end of March. I always have a problem with birthdays that are the beginning of the month. I turn the calendar page, see the birthday, and say "Oh no! I haven't sent a card yet!" I have to start writing on the calendar the dates that I need to send the cards. (Or presents - the grandchildren get presents). |
yayy!! congrats!
that must be really exciting :) |
Congrats.
I am back after watching too much television. xD |
Congrats to the family for the new addition! The baby must be sooo cute~ <3
