ah, it was spanish. I'm not exactly sad I missed it.

I'm sure you must have friends in the class who could tell you what happened, and whether there is an assignment or something like that!

oh, we don't have hw in the class. everything is in an online textbook anyways. I'm sure I didn't miss anything.

I suppose quite a bit has changed since I went to college.
There was no such thing as "online" at that time!

lol, I can't imagine a world without the internet. it seems so strange to me.

There may have been an arpanet when I went to college, but I believe it was for the military use only.

Then when I first started work, there was the "usenet". I played around on that for awhile.

Finally the full-blown internet started.

ah, I learned about aparnet in my computer class. I have no idea what usenet is though

Usenet came out of arpanet.
It was the "civilian" usage of arpanet.

At least that is the way I remember it. I could be wrong.

oh, that sounds about right. I learned something about that, but the teacher just didn't tell use the name of usenet.
