Hello my dears! Hello, Golden - welcome to our tearoom.

We are still at the race track. We decided to stay another day in our RV spot, since the wind is blowing so hard. Tomorrow is supposed to be nicer, so it would be a better day to drive home. We'll just sit around and relax today, and watch the rest of the RVs clear out of here.

Dream_and_Die 04-07-2009 04:02 AM

Hey anyone. xD
Seems that not to many people came on today.

fairywaif 04-07-2009 12:25 PM

Granny, I love your new outfit! Yours too Dream_and_die.
I'm supposed to be doing school work, but there's no way I can concentrate with the morning show on. It's the student produced morning announcements. It has music and people talking.... I was ready to quit anyways. xD

GrannyJ 04-07-2009 02:28 PM

Hello, fairy dear. Nice to see you today.
Yes, it appears that yesterday was quite a slow day.

Thank you for the compliment! I was trying to do nice pastel, Easter-y colors. I rather like the waves of Naisa items. They're very flowing and soft-looking.

Dream_and_Die 04-07-2009 02:59 PM

Thanks fairy!
I remember morning announcements, they were so much fun!
Or maybe that was because I was the one producing them. xD

fairywaif 04-07-2009 06:16 PM

They do look fun. They usually have videos at the end, which I think usual;ly have skippers because they're in the halls at that time. So I think they're unknowingly promoting skipping... We had an open mike in the library and I ended up on t.v. People I didn't know were saying I sang well! (Okay, one boy who I think was hitting on me. But still!) It was kinda weird...

MurasakiCrown 04-07-2009 06:32 PM

Those waves are so pretty~ I should really get some .////.

Dream_and_Die 04-07-2009 07:34 PM

@fairy: We always had more videos then information. Well Morning announcements were live over the TVs but during lunches we had some info replaying but in between we put up videos made my the film classes and pictures of art pieces done by students. So many music videos. xD

fairywaif 04-08-2009 03:23 AM

Yeah, that's the same thing we have.

I checked out a book of Emily Dickinson's poems. I'm looking forward to reading it!

Dream_and_Die 04-08-2009 03:25 AM

@fairy: My library hates me. On top of fifteen books that are "missing" (not checked out, yet not in the library either) I found out they don't have about five different series I want to read. Oh but they do have the last book in the Goddess Rising series, just not the first four. -_______-;

Goldenkay 04-08-2009 03:28 AM

hey everyone hows it going?

Dream_and_Die 04-08-2009 03:46 AM

Hey Golden. Good, except my evil library of doom.
How are you?

fairywaif 04-08-2009 11:13 AM

Oh man! there is a book on my Mom's account that none of us would read and is apparently not on the shelves. Why God why! I lost a book in a teacher's classroom and my sister found it when she took the class the next year. I don't really like my local library but the one at the community college nearby is really good. It's quiet and has a great selection for research, plus it has tons of computers! We mostly use the local one as a pick-up spot for our selections. Oh, and my library has this thing where you have to ask the librarians to specifically ask for a certain season or book in a series, or you get them out of order. XD Put 15? You would've had to checked them out all at once! The most I get during the schoolyear is 5, because I know I can read that much in in a week or two. 15...

tirethminet 04-08-2009 11:35 AM

evil libraries indeed... :|
they are going to eat you. >:D

dream, check out the library website and click on the "adult services" tab.
Quote:

We can help locate materials for you, or recommend a good book to suit your needs. If we do not have the book you are looking for, we can suggest another library you can visit to check out the book, take your suggestions for purchase, or try to borrow the book via Interlibrary Loan from another library.
anywho, i keep forgetting to come back and visit here.
and, you know, actually talk with you guys. :[
i just come in, leave a message and i'm off again.
so i'll keep this tab open now. :3

YuenGuon 04-08-2009 11:36 AM

I don't really read that many book series? lol
But i do wish our lilbrary had more flexible hours. especially on weekends. I mean, it should be open more on the weekends.
I get too distracted to work at home.
But i usually wouldn't check books for reading pleasure out of the library cuz i can't usually finish it on time. =(

tirethminet 04-08-2009 11:59 AM

the library does have awful hours.
at least mine is good, albeit TINY. ;_;
but i can ask them to get books from any of the other 20-something libraries in the city. 8DDD

i have six days to finish two books. i am being incredibly slow with these. :[

Dream_and_Die 04-08-2009 07:25 PM

@leenie: I belong to about five libraries but the others are a good hike and are smaller then the one in my township. So when my library doesn't have it, I'm in a hole. Usually I go to the other ones and they recommend my library. T_T

GrannyJ 04-08-2009 07:43 PM

Hello everybody! How are you all today?

I see that you've been talking about libraries. I have such fond memories of going to libraries when I was young. Books have always been such good friends.

I haven't been in a library in many many years. I've instead started purchasing my own books. It has been a lot of fun, but I often wonder what will happen to my own little "library" when I'm gone.

MurasakiCrown 04-08-2009 09:09 PM

*flies in* wee~ *crashes* owww~

Did someone say Library?~ <3

Dream_and_Die 04-09-2009 01:03 AM

Library!
Of course it was me, I'm little miss bookworm over here.

fairywaif 04-09-2009 01:56 AM

I adore libraries too. When I get rich I will have a gi-normous library. And a butterfly garden/greenhouse.

tirethminet 04-09-2009 02:31 AM

i highly recommend anyone who has or wants to have a massive amount of books read this children's book.
it is adorable.

fairywaif 04-09-2009 02:39 AM

It looks lovely! And they're from Michigan. Used to live there. I love children's books. There's a reading group at my library for that even.

GrannyJ 04-09-2009 07:18 PM

Hello! `tap tap tap`
Is anybody here? (Peering through the window)
Hmm... They must be visiting someplace else today.

I'll stay around for a bit and see if anybody shows up.

MurasakiCrown 04-09-2009 07:19 PM
