so today I'm feeling pretty rotten.
I read ended some a bit.
It was snowing pretty hard and the roads werent plowed at all so my car (16 years old) wouldn't slow down, the brake wasn't working. I feel horribly. The girl i bumped said it was fine, I don't think there was a big indent or anything but I just feel horrible. Like I know it wasn't my fault, it was the car but I still feel stupid and gaah! I know it happens, but I just hate driving period.
I'm home now, and its been like hours since it happened but these things always bug me for a few days.

Wow, your car is almost as old as I am! (I'm 20) At least the girl was cool about it. It would suck to have to pay her insurance or something. I don't drive, but that sounds pretty scary.

Yeah, I'm only 21; I still feel pretty crappy about the whole thing even though its over and done with.

Well, you didn't do any serious damage and she didn't seem upset by it. People will take guilt for things that are resolved and not that bad.

I just told my dad, and apparently it was my fault because i didnt give myself enough space.
ughh, i really tried. and now it's my fault.

I have never rear-ended somebody before, but I was rear-ended at one time.
The other car had to be pushed off the road, but there was barely a scratch on ours.

They always say that the person who ran into the person in front is at fault.
I understand that, but sometimes I think it isn't.

no, the brakes on my car weren't working because the roads weren't plowed

when i was trying to sleep in my bed last night all i could think about is me being in the car and sliding around [i wasn't actually in my car, sorry]
