Well...it started off as a allergic to cats and dogs topic. XD

ElysiumFate 03-28-2011 11:22 PM

Well. Like I said. I'd deal with dogs...cause I'm having a hard time believing I'll ever find a boyfriend/future husband that doesn't love dogs...I just don't want to take care of them. Period. I might take the thing for a walk when I go out running...or feed it when necessary. Yeah. I'd feed it. XD But I don't want to groom it, bathe it, brush its teeth, or clean up it's crap.

I love cats. Self-grooming and you only have to clean up after them two-three times a week, and it's only in one place...that doesn't kill the lawn. *grumbles* Yeah...I don't do dogs well. :sarcasm:

Also...yeah. I hate it when you lose pets and have to replace them. It always takes a little time to start loving the new pet.

Now. Now I'm hungry.

YuenGuon 03-28-2011 11:47 PM

@elysium: You know that's a good theory. I've never been by a cat until i was like ten. But I have had a dog in my house when I was like five or six.

TerrenaAnimula 03-29-2011 12:05 AM

Yea...I don't want to clean up after a dog either. XD But there is a lot of pretty dogs.

Right now I have a cat on my bed. Nevermind...she just jumped down. XD Now she's mewing at my door because I had it shut. XD

ElysiumFate 03-29-2011 12:33 AM

Haha. Yeah. Cats are bad about that. My door is ALWAYS closed. I can't sleep with any doors open, including my closet door. It freaks me out and I feel like something's going to come out and kill me. So my cat is always scratching to get in and out, and has pretty well realized that I won't let her sleep in my room because she cant' sit still for an entire night.

TerrenaAnimula 03-29-2011 12:36 AM

O.o :glomp: ANOTHER PERSON LIKE ME! I can't sleeping with doors open either! I just don't know why...but I just can't stand it!

ElysiumFate 03-29-2011 12:44 AM

Lol. *is glomped happily* I don't have many freakishly out of the ordinary things...but that is something I cannot do. If I sleep in an open area (like during a sleepover or something) I'm always waking up every forty-five minutes and eye-balling the door/looking around suspiciously to make sure that there isn't anything there that shouldn't be. I've also recently started locking the door to my room compulsively when I sleep/when I'm in it. I HATE it when people walk in when I'm doing something. Doesn't matter what it is.

Had my dad walk in on me one morning when I was dressing and I slammed the door into his face because he freaked me out so badly. Ever since then...yeah. Door is constantly locked.

----------

I'm surprised. Do your friends think you're weird for shutting your door when you sleep? Lol.

TerrenaAnimula 03-29-2011 12:49 AM

I've actually had a lot of criticism about sleeping with my door shut by friends and family. I'm the only one who does it except for maybe a couple of other people...

I can't lock my door...the apartment doors (except for the ones going outside) do not have locks. The only time I ever locked my door was when I was at my grandparents because my grandmother didn't believe in knocking on the door and she would come in the bathroom when you were using it or taking a bath/shower. So I locked the bathroom there and I locked the door when I changed clothes.

I don't like the door at my dad's because he knocks and will only come in if I say it is okay. My mom won't knock...unless she knows I am getting dressed or just got out of the shower and are getting ready for bed. Otherwise, she'll just come in...most of the time she scares me when doing so because the doors here suck and make such a racket when opening and shutting them. :/

YuenGuon 03-29-2011 12:58 AM

I always close my door when I sleep, the same thing happens if i sleep at a friend's house in an open area. I always close the door if there is one. I wake up often and feel weird.

TerrenaAnimula 03-29-2011 01:00 AM

When at a friends, I do have a hard time sleeping...even at my grandparents...sometimes even at my dad's. I don't know why...especially not at my dad's since i grew up in that house!

ElysiumFate 03-29-2011 02:40 AM

Oh, your new avatar is quite nice, Ter. :)

I...just don't trust people easily...and I don't like to feel watched. Which is what I feel like is going on whenever I sleep in an open area or a room with an open door. I am actually very interested to see what happens when I move in with a boyfriend or something one day and have to sleep in the same bed as him. I'll either really enjoy it immediately...or be freakishly creeped out by it for a couple of weeks. XD

TerrenaAnimula 03-29-2011 01:18 PM

Thanks. :D

I know what you mean. It would be weird to share the bed with a boyfriend. I've actually never slept in the same bed as a male. Have with females due to girl scout trips or school trips where you had to share the bed. The first time I was young so it didn't really matter much to me...the second time, I was in high school...I didn't move all night...I laid on my side facing the opposite direction of who I was sharing the bed with and on the edge...I hurt came morning due to not moving at all. You would think I wouldn't have had a problem with it considering she is (and also at that time) my best friend. :/

Kat Dakuu 03-29-2011 06:24 PM

I was at a party with some of my good friends and me and two other girls were all sleeping on one twin sized bed. I was squished in the middle and ended up feeling so uncomfortable that I slept on the floor and was sore in the morning.

YuenGuon 03-29-2011 07:37 PM

omggggg. that's torture. I slept in the same bed in a hotel yeaaaaaars ago w/another girl and i felt all weird and i slept on a floor half the night

Kat Dakuu 03-29-2011 07:43 PM

I'm lucky I didn't have to share a bed when I went on a mission trip/work camp with my church because I'm an 'adult' (over 18) and the other girls I was sharing a room with were younger.

TerrenaAnimula 03-29-2011 08:27 PM

Squished in the middle? O.o So not fun!

I just hate sharing a bed...I toss and turn and you never know how I am going to wake up. XD

Guivre 03-29-2011 08:42 PM

I tend to bump into people and then roll in the opposite direction right out of bed, waking up on the floor. I'm just not an easy sleeper.

Kat Dakuu 03-29-2011 09:46 PM

I toss and turn a lot too. and I'm a light sleeper. I don't like sharing beds.

TerrenaAnimula 03-29-2011 11:03 PM

I've fallen out of bed once that I can remember from tossing and turning. :/ Not fun.

TaiyoTsuki 03-30-2011 12:41 AM

I'm literally dead to the world when I'm sleeping. What's fun is when you've rolled out of bed during the night and never even wake up. Or roll HALFway out of bed, and never wake up.

TerrenaAnimula 03-30-2011 01:46 AM

Yea....I can sleep through a bunch of things...when we had those baby think it overs when I was in the 7th grade...I'd sleep through it crying if it wasn't my parents being able to hear it through my shut door and coming to wake me up so I can make it stop crying so they can go back to sleep. XD

shaddowkitty 03-30-2011 01:49 AM

I really really tried to catch myself up on whats going on in this conversation but i'm just like @[email protected]

TerrenaAnimula 03-30-2011 01:51 AM

XD

There's really no point in attempting to catch up...When I try to catch up, I just read the posts that are on the current page or if there isn't really many posts, some of the posts on the previous page. :D

shaddowkitty 03-30-2011 01:53 AM

I know, I was trying to read the ones on the current page, and then I gave up.

TerrenaAnimula 03-30-2011 01:55 AM

We've just been talking about sleeping with others in the same bed and sleeping with your door shut or closed.
