Haha. Very true.

I have a new group of friends that keep trying to get me to go back to reading manga...I'm so sick of it though...It's like. >.> Okay...only because I like you.

TerrenaAnimula 04-12-2011 01:20 PM

XD

Aww...I don't really read manda anymore except The Dark-Hunters adaptations...or if a friend is like "*friend trusts book into her hands* Read this!" "*replies* Um...okay...*

TaiyoTsuki 04-13-2011 03:09 AM

A DARK-HUNTER FAN!!!!! :glomp:

Yeah..that was random. But I've been reading my mom's Dark-Hunter books--Sherrylin Kenyon is officially one of my favorite authors--and I've got the first four adaptations. I love Zarek, Talon, and Acheron the most, especially Zarek; he's hilarious.

And please don't get me started on manga. Blame my dad, cause he let me watch late-night anime with him when I was little.

ElysiumFate 04-13-2011 03:20 AM

Awhh. That's awesome your dad would watch it and then watch it with you.

My dad pretty much honestly believes that all things Japanese are products of the devil. I watched anime anyway, haha.

alexandrakitty 04-13-2011 03:51 AM

Japanese things rule. I love their beads the best. No one can make beads like the Japanese...

ElysiumFate 04-13-2011 03:56 AM

The Japanese are such an innovative people. Their stuff may be bat-shit crazy sometimes, but at least they can claim that it's original.

I wish that earthquakes would stop hitting them. They got hit with another 7.1 earthquake last night.

I know. I was watching a report about dogs who have been left behind and I want to adopt them all. It breaks my heart, and not just because of the animals. It just shakes me to the core. There is no peace there right now.

And there are so many wonderful things that come from Japan. I love their ribbons. I love their beads. I love the art. And the food.

I hope it is a country that can bounce back...

ElysiumFate 04-13-2011 04:06 AM

I think Japan can do it. They need to get their nuclear power plant under control first. I read this morning that the Japanese Prime Minister has raised the freak-out level for the nuclear-crisis to as high as it can get on the scale.

I know. I hate it when you see the animals displaced. I remember seeing all the lost kittens when Katrina hit way back when, and I just wanted to drive down to Louisiana and love on all of them and give them a home.

Oh, I am sure Japan will get through this. It's just one sucker punch after another. It must be exhausting. I really admire their stoicism. I truly do.

Katrina also choked me up -- I remember reading stories of people sneaking back in so they could get their pets back. I just have a soft spot for animals. I always wanted to have my own animal sanctuary.

I am rooting for the Japanese people right now. Their culture always touched my soul...

ElysiumFate 04-13-2011 05:48 AM

I've always had issues wondering how people could be so cold hearted as to leave their pets but take other things. I would rather lose most of the stuff in my entire room than let my cat die in a disaster. Seriously...it's a life over a material possession that can be replaced. How is that even a choice?

I could let all of my possessions go without blinking an eye, but I love my cats so much...:yumeh1:

TaiyoTsuki: I don't have the fourth dark-hunters manga! The book store didn't have it! So I am going to order it when I pre-order the new Sookie Stackhouse novel.

I haven't been keeping up with Japan and the earthquakes and stuff because it makes me miserably sad. Which is why I don't really keep up with any kind of disaster like that because I don't want to be depressed every time you turn around. Been there, done that, really don't want to go there again if I can help it.

Weren't they supposed to be covering the whole plant with cement? That's what I was told. I was also told we (although I don't know if that we 'we' as in the whole USA or 'we' as in locally but the way my dad was sounding it kinda sounded locally) were sending cement trucks and cement over there to help them.

TaiyoTsuki 04-13-2011 05:28 PM

They had it in the local bookstore where I'm at. I'm seriously considering pre-ordering the fifth volume; GAH! Why does Sherrylin Kenyon's work have to be so damn good?! Not that I'm complaining. :)

TerrenaAnimula 04-13-2011 05:38 PM

Because it just does? Although...I am getting pissed at her with the next Lords of Avalon book. I know she wants it to be great...but it was supposed to come out at the beginning of 2010...then it got pushed back to the end, then the beginning of this year...and now it isn't supposed to come out until the beginning of 2013! :/

Have you read the Chronicles of Nick yet?

MimiYoshi 04-13-2011 06:15 PM

o: Why hello there. I think many may not know me, but I'm an old friend of Granny. o: Does she still get on here?

TerrenaAnimula 04-13-2011 06:23 PM

Hello, Mimi! I don't believe I have ever met you...so...Hi! You can call me Terre. :D Since that's what everyone does to shorten my username. lol

She does...although...I haven't seen her in quite some time now...I have no idea when the last time she was on. :/

MimiYoshi 04-13-2011 06:33 PM

Hey Terre c: Nice meeting you x3 I took a quick peek at her profile and noticed she was on the 10th. I hope she'll be on soon... I was Gramma's first friend on here -feels special- and I really do miss her a lot. Though the site is cute, it is a little toooooo slow for me at times.. D8 /shot.

But for the time being here, I do hope I shall see you around more often. c: Too bad I have to leave right now. Byebyeee <3

TerrenaAnimula 04-13-2011 11:50 PM

Yea...the site does go through periods of slowness. But what you going to do about real life happening?

ElysiumFate 04-13-2011 11:52 PM

The last time I saw Granny was about a week ago and I keep up with the tearoom pretty well. She still comes about. You can always catch her during the events, though she didn't seem to know there was one during April Fools.

I believe I've seen you around, it's been awhile though, haha.

Yeah, the site can be uber slow. I always multi-task when I use this site because sometimes it feels like people are ignoring you when you don't get a reply and I hate to dwell on it, lol.

TerrenaAnimula 04-13-2011 11:58 PM

Yeah...I multitask too...which is why I sometimes "ignore" people for a bit because I'm doing something elsewhere...unless I actually left...

Although...once it starts getting busy, I'm normally just on mene. :D

fairywaif 04-14-2011 12:06 AM

Hey guys! I remember you Mimi. :) Although it's been a while since I've been here myself.

TerrenaAnimula 04-14-2011 12:08 AM

Hey, Fairy :D

I wish my muffins were done! I want one NAO!

fairywaif 04-14-2011 12:17 AM

Ooh, muffins. My Mom has a recipe for the most amazing pear muffins... What kind are yours?

TerrenaAnimula 04-14-2011 12:23 AM

Pear muffins? That sounds interesting. :D

Mine are Green Tea Muffins. :D They are so yummy! But I am baking them in our new toaster over thing which is HUGE!...and cooks hotter so...hopefully they don't end up too burnt by the time the center is done. :/

ElysiumFate 04-14-2011 12:24 AM

My friends keep mentioning orange muffins. I really want to try and make some.

My mum just came downstairs and doubled over in laughter when she saw that I had on a green facial masque.
